75895 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 revealed
Posted by CapnRex101,
75895 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 has been announced today, courtesy of The Brothers Brick. This new Speed Champions set contains 180 pieces and will cost $14.99 when it becomes available on the 1st of August.
Another rendition of the 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo appeared in 75888 Porsche 911 RSR and 911 Turbo 3.0 so its return is somewhat surprising, albeit now in white instead of lime green. This minifigure is new though, sporting a lovely Porsche T-shirt.

It would be great to see the 1967 Mini Cooper S Rally come back as a single vehicle.
I do like Speed Champions and have almost all of them, I will buy this, but it just seems a little odd and lazy? The original was 2 Porsches for £35, not exactly bank breaking, this will be One, exactly the same but in a more common colour for £12.99 (maybe more) It doesn't seem to make any sense?
The Porsche 911 is such a classic car that it's great to see another version. Also, I only count four stickers, which has to be a record for a Speed Champions set.
Now here’s hoping they’ll also reissue the 75894 Mini Cooper!
@jhuntin1 I can see 8 stickers but still good.
Now it's time for the Mini! Nice reissue, Speed Champions is a great theme. However, I'm still waiting to see some Japanese sports like Skyline, RX-7, Celica, NSX, AE86...
It's so cool to see that this one comes alone in its own set. I really like its design but just did not want to pay a bigger set for it. So now it's perfect, thank you and GG Lego. The rear is so accurate for the scale, and this monster is among the brand lovers one of the most iconic, with it's brutal engine and amazing torque. No comfort inside, just what is necessary for a bit of security and pleasure of pilot. Not driver : pilot. It will come and join the few Speed Champions sets I carefully have chosen (both McLaren, Ferrari F1, Mustang, Porsche speedster and a few others.) as soon as available.
First time in white for that technic connector?
@Phathead I don't think I could possibly disagree any more with your comment. This is hardly one of the worst designed models they've done. It is instantly recognizable as an old Porsche, something not that easy to pull off at that scale. I thought the lime green color was odd, so I'll be glad to pick up this more normal colored one.
With the limited number of bricks here, I think this set made it so well aesthetically, that one could immediately recognize it as a Porsche. I'll be happy to display it on my shelf probably even more than the full blown Technic version.
Already have the Lime green version on display, easy pass for me.
Can we please get the Ferrari GTO 250 from 75889 as a stand alone set?! I really love that car, yet I don't 100.00 love it. Heck, I'd probably pay an extortionate 25.00 - 30.00 for it! Other stand alone cars I'd like to see a return of, that were previously only available as double packs, include the classic Camaro from 75874 (preferably in red, as it was my first real car), and the Ferrari FXX K 75882 w/o the Development Center bits that doubled the price.
As for this white '74 911 I'll gladly take it, and park it right beside the lime green one. Maybe I've got a well to do Porsche collector in my city :)
@charles.TV
Yes it is!
Definitely a set that I will pick up in multiples. Looks like a great set for gifting to non-Lego kids or adults of car enthusiast.
Nicely done, and excellent price--way to go, Lego! Still loving Speed Champions!
@lego34s I spy 10 stickers.
I greatly prefer those single-sold cars over the pairs with extras.
Maybe the larger sets fit in if you are fan of a certain brand or want a bit of racetrack/garage, but seperate cars like this also fit well within a City or Creator 3-in-1 Scale layout.
In this case, the 2-porsche set had only 1 car I liked, for €45, and even now at €30 that's a lot more then this would be at €10-€15.
Of course, both types of Porsche sets will still be sold right now so people can still pick and choose.
I do hope they'll make a Classic Mini seperate set as well, even if it were a non-rally version, they could even give it Mr. Bean colors, bright green(citron) with a black bonnet.
(I know that Mr. Bean's Mini was a 1977 Mark IV, and not a Cooper S)
Huh. This has been known for weeks, even in Zusammengebaut's video from the Lego Fan Media Days...
Either way, the build is identical to the green one, Lego's claiming that "they heard the fans, they wanted this car but not with all the other stuff in the same box" so they made it. And they made all stickers transparent so you can rebuild it in whatever colour you like. That's nice, I would like for them to then sell the sticker sheet separately though....
They've done a lot of 911s, haven't they? The two Technic ones, and now this is the third Speed Champions one.
Nearly bought the set with the lime green 911 - glad I waited. Hopefully the original Mini Cooper will get a similar release so I don’t have to buy the hideous BMW Mini too
Maybe "you," the well-informed AFOL, can recolor just about any set with Bricklink, but "you," the average consumer or 10-year-old kid, definitely can't. So this is a good move for most customers.
In the recent Lego Story 2 movie sets they released a new piece 1x1 half round. This should be used instead of the 1x3 tile on top of the front fenders(and the plates below).
Even sillier, is that the lime green version should still be in stores, and likely for $24 with another car in the US!
I like the white one more, than the first green model. Nice idea, Lego. That's a rehash, one can understand and I'll buy one.
I already have the green version, so I probably won't get this one, but it's an excellent car.
I do wonder why they chose this specific car to rerelease though. Was it especially popular?
This makes sense as if you have played the Forza Horizon 4 Lego Speed Champions expansion pack, the barn find car was 'coming in a future update'. I thought it might be a Porsche based on what little the game showed. Cool!
@Lego34s @jhuntin1 I see 10 stickers...
5 in the front and 2 for rear window, 2 for the rear bumper and one for the logo on the rear. Correct me if I'm wrong
Anyhow I think this one looks better in white and will definitely buy it since I didn't get the green one
Well that's Dads birthday present sorted as he's a huge Porche fan. Kudos Lego!
Would love the mini in a single pack or even as a double, the designer said never say never, guess people need to shout loudly if they want it
I don't have a Speed Champions set yet, but this might be my first because this is really cool
Happy with this, I enjoy the classic car builds they've been making but I'm unwilling to buy the larger sets they've been including them in, would rather buy them on their own.
Cool. Pity its out in August, as mid July I am doing a very large Speed Champions layout with buildings at a Hobby Show in Taupo, New Zealand. Great it has clear backed stickers so I can buy more and change the white bricks for other colours. I did that with the Mercedes AMG to get 5 other colours in road versions.
Need this one so bad! Just hope to see the Mini as a single set as well!
I’ve bricklinked a few of the 75888 lime green Porsche in different colours, but could never do white because of the 42003 technic connector not being in white - problem solved!
Of course they release this after I purchased 75888 just for the green 1974 Porsche 911. Ugh.
@Brickmasterboy After seeing a much larger picture, you're right that there are indeed 10 stickers. Still way less than usual.
LegoSolo77 I definitely agree with you. I like the Lego GTO so much (and the original one too of course) but just as for the Porsche did not want to get a more expensive set just for 1 car. So as a stand alone it would be a first day purchase for me. Maybe a Lego market manager is reading your comment and will give a push to the idea?
It looked terrible last year and surprisingly it looks equally terrible now, especially the front of the car.
Some polarised opinions here about this, and fair enough too.
I do think it is lazy of LEGO to release a different coloured model of something already available (ALBEIT IN A DUAL SET), but its a Porsche, so I'll absolutely buy it.
I’ve been wanting to get the original lime green Porsche set but haven’t because of its price and only cared for the single car. It makes sense to me that LEGO is rereleasing a smaller version since lime green was an unusual color and the car features a fantastic design. But why did they make it white? I feel like it would been so much better in any other color than white. Hopefully I can still get that lime green one.
I really liked the other Porsche set, and I loved the lime-green colour, so I'm okay with picking up this one in a white colour-scheme. I'm not a car person, but I tend to enjoy the Speed Champions line just because the cars are pretty and the builds are interesting.
Will probably buy a couple of these. Only for that Porsche minifig :D haha... Seriously tho, why release the same car again, but in white...? It's odd isn't it? - Personal side note; If they wanted to re-release a Porsche again, they could've released the 917 again as a single set in my opinion... :P
I wonder if this is what I found in an old barn?
White is really growing on me for this car. I'm glad I didn't buy 75888, this will save me some money.
Love this! Going to get one hopefully. I didn't realise it came out in lime green earlier... ^_^V
I’m happy to get this in a different color. I would love for them to a convertible one in red with black wheels to match one of my childhood dream cars.
Here's some information about the 2019 SC range, including background on why they chose to do the Porsche again in this specific colour: https://youtu.be/gN41-rBkMmg
Why is this re-release revealed as a stand-alone set, and not with the whole new Spped Champions wave?
Hank Moody, is that you..?
I have 75888 yet still will buy this one as well.
And if they ever decide to release one in yellow, orange, flat silver, medium azure, purple, and whatever other colour, I will get each one of those too.
One can never have too many 911 Turbos :-)
I love its cartoonish look: great set! And it brings back memories.
Why...and *sigh*...who do I have to talk to get a Lambo in this line? A Countach (25 anv. pref.), Diablo, I'd even settle for a Urus (My hands burned as I typed that...). I mean TLG has had a working relation w/Lamborghini before, couldn't they rekindle it...?
As I own the green one, this is not for me. Green is much cooler and "rare" than white. I might have given it a try if made in dark orange or something fancy, though..
I count 10 stickers. Very low I think.
very nice
I agree with Brick't about the now lower cost of this vehicle. Also, never a fan of the lime green. This white is clean. I enjoy the the speed champions line immensely but will only purchase selectively. This one will be a great addition to my small but handsome, Speed Champions line.
I just wish the axles holding those headlight brackets on were blue.
wasn't a fan of the green or the other car from the original set so glad that as I was waiting for a steep discount they announced this instead. Will pick up 2. one for me and one for my porsche-loving friend
Im big fan of Speed Champs..i will get this one for shore!
