Ideas results to be announced this week

Posted by ,

The results of the second 2019 LEGO Ideas review are going to be live-streamed on the LEGO Ideas Facebook page this Wednesday at 4pm CET / 3pm GMT / 10am EST.

Ten projects are being considered, along with Anatomini, which was carried forward from the last review:

We will of course publish the results here as soon as we know them. In the meantime, please post your predictions in the comments!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Office / Blacksmith / History Museum

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Well we havent had many space themed Ideas sets chosen for a while so....

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Anatomini please! :-)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Who needs variety when an entire theme can be saturated with space sets?!

The office is being reconsidered?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Pooh or Seven Dwarfs. NOT ANOTHER SPACE SET!!!!!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

As much as a lot of people are sick of the space/NASA sets, I hope the shuttle wins. I don't know why LEGO don't just create a new NASA theme. It seems popular enough again.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hoping for Pursuit of Flight and Anatomini.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The most recent ideas set was a space set, the International Space Station

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

For me, when deciding whether or not to support a set, and when it comes to which one these models I'd like to see released, it always comes down to the basic question:

"Would I buy that?"

Honestly, if the answer is no, I don't support it, and am not especially bothered if it gets released.

Is that a selfish way to go about it? Should I be more altruistic and hope that the set that brings the most happiness to most people gets produced?

Is it possible to overthink this...?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Office set has 17 minifigs?! I'd be impressed if they did that, it'd have to be over £200...

Crossing my fingers for Thunderbirds!

Gravatar
By in Norway,

My hopes goes for (one of) these:
Pursuit of Flight by JKBrickworks, The Haunted Mansion: 50th Anniversary by GoodOlPrice and Anatomini by Stephanix <3

That's how I look at it, if a set is overly large for example, or from some property/licensed I don't buy anyway I don't vote, not selfish.

I think a project reaching 10k on people wanting to buy it is better then having some popular influencer hype up people to just vote, because of vote.

Gravatar
By in Italy,

Not the Shuttle, please! I already bought the UCS MF, I don't want to spend more this year! Don't make me do it!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It seems clear that Lego aren’t interested in large scale buildings, whether modular or historical (the Old Fishing Store being the only exception, and a lot smaller).

I also think we’ve had more than enough space sets recently, as much as I loved Saturn V.

Personally I love JK Brickworks’ stuff, and would be very happy to see Pursuit of Flight, which isn’t excessively large, and serves as an excellent desk toy. I also really loved the Thunderbirds idea, particularly the classic iteration, though I suspect it doesn’t have broad enough appeal.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

I suspect the UCS Shuttle but I would want: the Museum, Winnie (China will love it), Blacksmith, Anatomical or Monster House to win.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love the History Museum - it would be incredibly awesome to add to the Modular buildings line-up.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

If the Thunderbirds set gets made, my inner six year old will explode from sheer joy.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Pursuit of Flight looks good!

Gravatar
By in United States,

If the Haunted Mansion gets approved, does that mean I can get rid of these three spectral hitchhikers I seem to have picked up somewhere? ;-)

In all seriousness, we need another Mansion. It's been since 2012 since we've had a Haunted House. I don't even care if it's haunted with 999 ghosts or just 3 and a hatbox, I just want another stately, Victorian mansion!

"I suspect...Winnie (China will love it)..."

Haha, what a riot that would be. International relations aside, I’d love for this to win, along with the Pursuit of Flight.

Gravatar
By in United States,

PLEEEEEEEEASE be the office

Gravatar
By in United States,

In ranking order, I'd want the Blacksmith, Shuttle (only if its minifig scale), or the pursuit of flight. Either way, may the best LEGO idea(s) win.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I need haunted mansion approved.

Gravatar
By in United States,

None of these really appeal to me personally, and with the exception of the two Disney sets in the bottom left I don't think they really have too much appeal.

My money is on the Space Shuttle. The Office could work, but you already know that it would be at least 90% smaller as a real set.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'm hoping for Thunderbirds, but honestly I don't think it will. It just doesn't have a world wide appeal.

Gravatar
By in United States,

PLEASE no more licensed sets

Gravatar
By in United States,

I thought briefly that Sokoda's Bionicle set was up for final review already, and it caused me to panic. "What if it doesn't win?" "Is our fandom dead?" "Why would they pick a licensed set over one of Lego's own IP's?!"

Then I realized this was a different review. Prepare to see a bunch of nostalgic mid-20 year olds panicking here in a few months, biting our nails in anticipation.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

I would gladly buy the History Museum, Medieval Blacksmith or Haunted Mansion :)

Gravatar
By in Australia,

As a child I had the old metal Thunderbirds set with the little yellow sub. I played with it everywhere, especially in the bath! It was so much fun. My imagination, combined with this toy and the inspiration of the classic TV show took me on so many adventures. I think it would look stunning as a Lego model and there is so much room for some cool design and innovation. Fingers crossed - Thunderbirds are GO!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’d love to have some of the characters from The Office in Lego form. However, the full ensemble cast would not be included and the set would be paired down to either Michael’s office, break room, reception or some combo. Likely get Michael, Jim, Pam, and Dwight.

I still don’t see it passing though.

All money is on more space stuff. But maybe they will realize it has been saturated and will take a break. Disney seems unlikely in case they plan on doing it themselves under the Disney theme.

Who knows anymore.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'd buy Pursuit of Flight. I like the idea that it is customizable so that you can change the display to suit the season or your fancy

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Nothing catching my eye tbh, fed up of the space sets, never watched the Office. I guess the Minifigure Anatomy would be nice.

Gravatar
By in United States,

As much as I would love an The Office set it probably won't happen for two reasons. The first being that the footprint is far too large for a casual buyer who this would be aimed at. It would likely be changed to be more shelf ready like the Friends set (albeit it could be modular and combine for those that have the room.)

The second is that Target is already carrying an off-brand Office construction set:

https://www.target.com/p/the-office-dunder-mifflin-scranton-branch-construction-set/-/A-76465614

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hoping for Winnie the Pooh.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Shuttle/Museum/Blacksmith/ The Seven Dwarf’s House. Any of those look good!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I'm kinda hoping for the history museum, but the Power of Flight is pretty nifty too.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I'm hoping for the Medieval Blacksmith, there haven't been any medieval themed sets released in quite a while and I think it'll be a nice change of pace.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

They’re gonna pick space stuff, aren’t they...

Personally my number 1 on this list would be Thunderbirds.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I want it to be Thunderbirds or History Museum

I think it will be Anatomini or Pursuit of Flight

Gravatar
By in United States,

Pursuit of Flight! C'mon! I've waited for this for sooo looong!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I would buy Thunderbirds or Space Shuttle without hesitation, but I think Winnie the Pooh is the most likely candidate. I also expect Anatomini to make the cut, because nearly every previous project that was carried through more than one review was eventually greenlit for production: Doctor Who, Voltron, Piano.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

IIRC the Shuttle is not allowed under the rules (because of the Women of NASA set). Plus with all the NASA themed sets, I doubt they would want to do another one.
The Office wont make it because of the license issue.
NASA spacecraft has less chance than the Shuttle just because the craft depicted are less well known.
IIRC Winnie The Pooh is banned in China and I can't see LEGO making a set based on a property that is banned in one of their biggest markets.
I think the best chance is for Thunderbirds (the show is popular enough, especially the new one plus it looks cool), Pursuit of Flight (neat looking item and isn't quite so large meaning it could be cheaper and that's good for LEGO) or the Anatomini (neat idea and the fact they held it over suggests they think the idea is sound but are trying to figure out how to turn the idea into a viable product)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not a lot of these get me hype. Give it to Winnie the Pooh

Gravatar
By in France,

Sooo want Thunderbirds to win.

I think there will be at least 2. Anatomini and A.nother....

Gravatar
By in United States,

Haunted Mansion is the only one I’m remotely interested in

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Thunderbirds for me!

Failing an appearance from Scott, Virgil and co. I'd actually be pretty happy with any of them except "The Office". It's a wonderful TV show (well, actually two wonderful TV shows) but I'm not seeing much in the way of building pleasure to be had with that one.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Man how does one chose! A number a great sets there however from past we know we will likely only get a set or two tops.

Looking forward to the results.

If I had to pick one it would be JK Brickworks set. I love the work he does. Would love to support him yet again.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Thunderbirds for me

@MisterBrickster said:

My inner six year old would say, "That's not a proper Thunderbird", in the same way that it said, "That's not a proper Batmobile"!

The Medieval Blacksmith looks great.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Lots of these are easy stuff they already have rights to and/or rights don't matter. Wouldn't be surprised to see multiple winners this round. Looking forward to getting passed the sitcom set also-rans... but some of these others are really cool. I'm not into modulars or castle at all, but that Blacksmith is incredible and I'd be tempted.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

My random thoughts:
Shuttle: Looks enormous ($$$), personally I have two shuttles already (the Discovery and 10213 ones) and don't feel any immediate need for any more.
Thunderbirds: A nice concept and build, but suffers from being microscale and not too well known outside the US.
Pursuit of flight: A nice and moderately-sized model, in an ideal world it should have a decent chance.
Museum: A nice build but almost over-detailed and maybe too many parts, also no modular-style buildings has been selected so far.
Office: This again? As last time, too big and too many figures. Personally I've never bothered with the UK version (never been a fan of these faux-reality style sitcoms) and the US version haven't been on my radar at all.
Blacksmith: My personal favorite, but it looks too similar to the (non-approved) merchant house a while ago, I suspect these "sagging" medieval-style buildings requires too many parts and complex building techniques.
Winnie the Pooh: Oh yes, China (Lego's primary market nowadays) would LOVE this one.
Spacecraft: Yawnn... Moar Nasa, moar microscale, Viking not recognizable at all. Yes, these have historical and technical significance, but as an Ideas set they're really dull.
Haunted Mansion: Never heard of this one, house vaguely reminds me of another (late 90s/early 2000s?) horror movie (can't remember the title), model needs serious modding to look any good.
Seven Dwarfs: A nice and tempting model, but personally I try to avoid buying Disney stuff nowadays (IMO they've became too large and dominant).
Anatomini: Interesting concept, as all such "carry-overs" has been approved so far I'd guess it has a decent chance.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Lego Ideas page has a fairy tales contest beta same time as snow white is in review...
Suspicious

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I like the Dwarf house design but it's licensed/disney which inflates the price.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I really want it to be Winnie the Pooh or Thunderbirds, but I assume it'll end up being Space again sadly.

Gravatar
By in United States,

With the Disney Castle and now the Disney train and station out, does the Hunted House have an edge on an expanding Disney theme park?

Main Street /Space Mountain here I come.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Some of us in the States grew up with Thunderbirds. I will be purchasing it on release day. Not interested in the anatomini at all.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I feel like since space isn't exactly future/fiction anymore, it should be in its own theme. IDEAS should be "LEGO probably won't produce."

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have to pick just one? I supported 6 of them.

Hmm, the shuttle. I mean, c’mon, it’s a freaking space shuttle! I missed out on 10231 so a shuttle would be cool. But I’d rather the whole launch vehicle like 10231 so I’d probably pass. I do have my 8480 after all.

I did support NASA spacecraft, but with the competition, I’d pass.

Anatomi and Pursuit of Flight would be cool desk toys and I’d buy both, maybe multiple times.

I’d love to build the History Museum, I’m a sucker for the modulars. They could put two (good ones) out a year and I’d buy them all.

But Thunderbirds Are Go!!! Day 1 purchase. I loved the show as a kid (still do, and got my grandkids hooked on those little marionettes). I too had the little metal Thunderbird 2 toy and if I still had it it would be one of my most prized possession.

My vote goes to Thunderbirds all the way.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@jonwil:
You're exactly right about the Shuttle being on the permanent banned list due to Women of NASA. They cheated by adding it to the ISS even though it wasn't part of the original project, but an actual Space Shuttle proposal will get shot down. Oddly, the list has not been updated since October, so the ISS is technically fair game...for now.

Haunted Mansion is also out because there's a blanket ban on Disneyland/Disney World projects (you can thank Cinderella's Castle and the Disneyland train for that one).

They haven't really defined what a "modern day situation" is, but my gut instinct is that the WWI scene will run afoul of the "no warfare/war vehicles" clause.

Everything else looks like it should be fair game, though some of those projects seem like extreme long shots.

The two I feel are most likely to be approved and would sell the best are the Dwarves and Pooh. They're both small, they've got broad appeal, they don't have any conflicts that I can determine.

@axeleng:
China's where they have the most market growth, but that doesn't make them the biggest market. Not yet, at least. The US became their largest consumer-nation in 1999, and probably still retains that title for the time being. I haven't seen an IP-based Cuusoo/Ideas set after the first two that didn't look like something that would have a viable market in the US. Winnie the Pooh is still popular here, so I think it's still got a shot. If it's small enough, it could burn up the shelves in the US, and then it won't matter that China's going to ban it from entry. Ooh, I did just realize one potential problem with it, which is that they probably won't be able to make any of the minifig parts in China either. _That_ could pose a real problem, since the bear head mold is probably still there. Maybe they can have it shipped to Europe...

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I hope the History Museum wins. We need more than 1 modular per year.

Otherwise I'm quite fond of the Nasa Spacecrafts, but not so much of the Shuttle by itself, strangely.

I think the Winnie the Pooh and 7 Dwarves have a shot, with the way Disney is working with Lego. Probably with new figures too.

But yeah, the only thing that matters: History Museum! One of the few sets I had actually supported on Ideas!

Gravatar
By in Jordan,

Personally hoping for Pursuit of Flight and/or the Blacksmith.

Gravatar
By in France,

Just send us that Pirate Bay already.

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

The History Museum is my personal favourite but it has a rather low chance of being selected because of its size. The Pursuit of Flight is my second favourite and I have high hopes for this one. If it gets made, it will be a day-one buy.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m passing on the ISS, but the shuttle would be a must buy for me. I’m not all in on a space theme but a shuttle seems like a must.

I’d be down for the dwarves, Winnie, and most of the buildings as well

Gravatar
By in France,

That Blacksmith looks marvelous!

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

This is a no brainer:
Pursuit of flight... Will be the only winner

Gravatar
By in Latvia,

As much as I love space and would like any space-realted project to win, we just had the ISS, so I'm hoping for something fun and interesting

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

1) Space Shuttle, 2) History Museum 3) Medieval Blacksmith 4) Dwarves' House (which could be a Disney D2C à la 71040 . Would be nice to have a The Office vignette, but since the other project was rejected, I don't have much hope. The others are just all right, but I certainly would never buy Anatomini…

Gravatar
By in Italy,

the JKBrickworks model is the one with the highest chance of being made.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Medieval Blacksmith looks really good, well built and generally amazing. The only let down is the number of minifigs.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not into the buildings but the history museum's details, wow. I love space but I vote no on the shuttle, I think the ones in the past were perfect. 7470 looks ok, but 10213 & 10231 are good enough.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Pursuit of flight is beautiful, but I do not think that a European company like Lego will/should make a set based on a German plane hunting down a French one during WWI. Don't like the rendition of the shuttle (just bought the ISS, and may get the Apollo as well one day).

Anatomini is original, Winnie or Snowwhite appealing to the kids. Now, not sure if the Ideas line is aiming the kids as target anyway...

The modular-like or fishing shop like, hmm, not sure they pass, even if the AFOLs of course would like them...

Thunderbirds, Haunted House, The office? US-interest only, so clear no-go for me... (don't know any of them, and the office looks boring on top of that)

Gravatar
By in Australia,

UCS shuttle!!!!!!!!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This review will be a little bittersweet for me. If Thunderbirds passes review, it'll mean that no other Thunderbird projects will be allowed, but if it fails the review, then it'll show Lego has no interest in producing Thunderbird sets. Either way, my own Thunderbirds project on Lego Ideas, with all the classic vehicles, will be doomed.
https://ideas.lego.com/projects/6e7946e4-9da4-4195-af68-a93615c398b1

Still, I really hope we do get a Lego Thunderbirds set, I've been dreaming of one for years. I'm also hoping for Anatomini and Pursuit of Flight to pass the review.

Gravatar
By in Greece,

Fingers crossed for medieval blacksmith it looks stunning despite the lack of minifigs

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Too badd Lego never uses modulair buildings for lego ideas because the had one time lego arcade . It was a great idea but it never became a offical lego set. So i hope the musuem will make it to a offical set.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This is the first time I’v been rooting for a particular project. I’ve been waiting for this. Thunderbirds better win (probably not though.)

Gravatar
By in Germany,

A NASA space set, anyone?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I would be interested in buying The History Museum, Medieval Blacksmith and the Seven Dwarves House although they would all be dependent on price and what the finished product is like. Previous Disney sets have seemed too expensive for the size of set or just too expensive for my budget so that one is probably a no -go

It was disqualified along with another 10k project. The reasons were never announced, LEGO said they contacted both builders privately and each agreed there had been some kind of rules violation. Bummer.

I suspect the same will happen if the Coraline Pink Palace makes it to 10k. From interviews I’ve seen I don’t think that’s a single fan submission - it looks like something Laika has basically sponsored.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Thunderbirds are go!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Office I would say has a really strong chance, even if it’s reworked. That shows popularity right now is huge, and considering how well Central Perk is selling I can’t see why NBC wouldn’t lend out the license to LEGO to make a set out of it.

Gravatar
By in France,

Really hope that Space shuttle will be selected. One more NASA set then but this shuttle has been fascinating me since I was a kid. Or Anatomini for the highly educative and interesting purpose IMO.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The trouble with The Office as depicted on Ideas is that it's virtually meaningless to everyone outside the USA. We had our own, original and superior, version in the UK, and from what I can tell, many other countries have their own version too.

My 2p:

UCS Space Shuttle Atlantis -- No: We've had too many space related projects
Thunderbirds Are Go -- Possible: an excellent model from a popular TV show, although I don't know how popular it is in LEGO's important markets
Pursuit of Flight -- Possible: one can never have enough of Jason's kinetic sculptures!
History Museum -- No: LEGO does not take ideas for modular buildings
The Office -- No, for reasons stated above
Medieval Blacksmith -- Possible: a lovely model in the same vein as the old fishing store
Winnie the Pooh -- No: banned in China (yes, really...)
Nasa Spacecraft -- No: we've had too many flippin' spaceships lately!
The Haunted Mansion -- No: Looks to be too big and relatively boring
The Seven Dwarfs' House -- Possible: Nice model, popular subject, Disney
Anatomini -- Possible: Has LEGO been able to make it stable enough? If so, it'll be approved.

So, my prediction is that one, or more, of the following will be selected:

Thunderbirds
Pursuit of Flight
Medieval Blacksmith
Seven Dwarfs
Anatomini

Gravatar
By in United States,

What I want: Space Shuttle

What I think will win: Pooh

Gravatar
By in Canada,

That Thunderbird set is sharp!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Pooh is banned in China? I had no idea. That's nearly an automatic reject, I guess

@raist7:
I get what you're saying, but it's a very different thing to depict WWI vs WWII. They've actually made a Red Baron triplane before. Sure, it was under LEGO Direct, which enjoyed relaxed restrictions vs the main part of the company, but the circumstances are quite different. While this may not have been true at the time, at this point, nobody still alive is likely to remember WWI, while lots of people are old enough to be able to reminisce about what they went through during WWII. Aerial warfare during WWI was also more civilized, with victorious pilots often landing to check on the safety of the men they'd just shot down. In a way, it was not unlike knightly warfare during the medieval ages. WWII was a lot more cutthroat, with the ultimate goal being to kill rather than simply incapacitate. I think the main criteria will be whether or not WWI is categorized as "modern warfare".

Haunted House is a Disney theme park attraction. I know there's one in the original Disneyland, and I believe there's one in WDW, but I have no idea about the international parks. For Disneyphiles, it has appeal. It's, however, on the restricted list on the basis that it is a Disney theme park attraction, and they currently have two park-based sets in production.

@NathanR2015:
Imagine being the person who got a Doctor Who project to the 10k mark, only to have a different Doctor Who project approved during the same review period. However, we've seen projects be rejected before only to have a similarly themed project get approved at a later date. Specifically I believe this happened with Doctor Who as well, and the hope is that Legend of Zelda may become more feasible as new parts are introduced, and eventually get a project approved.

@MrKoshka:
Minecraft was submitted by the guy who owned the game, which is both why it got to 10k so quickly and why the approval process went so smoothly. So, corporate involvement has been allowed before. Is it not anymore?

@Huw:
China is the fastest growing market because it's coming up from nothing. It's probably not a big enough market to force them to decline an Ideas set that they can easily sell all over the rest of the world. They won't be able to sell any Ghostbusters sets in China either, because the movies they're based on depict the supernatural.

@kfr:
Someone suggested that their leader looked like Winnie the Pooh, so poor Pooh got banned from China. Southpark even laid into it pretty heavily this past season, I believe getting the show banned in China for their troubles (which they, of course, incorporated into the show).

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^^ Good point.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

UCS Space Shuttle Atlantis, Nasa Spacecraft - already enough Space sets.
Thunderbirds Are Go, Winnie the Pooh - never seen the show
Pursuit of Flight - I'm more of a ships guy
History Museum - I love the interior but I don't think the exterior would line up nicely with other modulars.
The Office - Heck yes.
Medieval Blacksmith, The Seven Dwarfs' House - very nice display pieces, unfortunately I don't have infinite shelf space.
The Haunted Mansion - I guess this is more appealing to Americans?
Anatomini - it's certainly a great idea, but not my cup of tea. Dammit Jim, I'm an accountant not a doctor.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

A big fat - NO - to the space sets.

YES to Thunderbirds! In fact this should be a Lego theme for a few years (do the classic and "are go" versions).

Pursuit of Flight and the Blacksmith also get a respectful nod from me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I would love the Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarf's, Medieval Blacksmith or History Museum. Unfortunately it will be another space set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

the office!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

WTP is a great IP, but it may be politically inconvenient. I like the Seven Dwarves and Blacksmith's Shop sets

Gravatar
By in United States,

@PurpleDave - I didn’t know that about Minecraft. Looking at the Ideas rules more carefully, I think I misunderstood the guidelines around collaborative builds. The Pink Palace may have a review chance after all - although the clock is ticking for it to make 10k.

Without more information I think I may have jumped the gun on what the problem with the Gravity Falls set was. Which, regardless, is a shame it was disqualified because I’m a big fan of the show.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@PurpleDave If you haven’t seen it, the movie Aces High is worth a view. Admittedly there were elements of chivalry on display, but like any other form of combat it was brutal and destructive. The film was based on Journey’s End, any adaptation is again worth a look and shows just how futile war is.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hoping for The Office this time around!

Gravatar
By in Colombia,

I NEED that Thunderbirds Are Go set

Gravatar
By in Australia,

All of them look good, but I do really like the Thunderbirds Tv Series, so that’s my pick. I just hope it isn’t one of the space ones.

Sadly I don’t think we’ll see an Office set. Friends and Big Bang were more than enough.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Excitement is GO!

Adventure is GO!

THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hoping for the museum, mansion or blacksmith.... expecting the space shuttle.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I really hope it will be Anatomi, because this is something new and different. This is why it's called Ideas, space / modular buildings / tv series vignets / we have seen enough. No licence also means cheaper?

Gravatar

While Seven Dwarfs, Medieval Blacksmith, and Winnie the Pooh are all excellent builds, it would be very interesting to see how Lego would change Anatomy and Pursuit of Flight. Especially to see how they would change the giant minifigure in Anatomy. So excited.

According to this article, Winnie is not 100% banned in China --

"Merchandise for Christopher Robin was still made in China, however, so it’s hardly like the “ban” affects China making a buck in its factories. The same goes for Pooh merch not affiliated with the film — you can buy lots of Winnie the Pooh products from China and have them shipped to America. Even in China itself, Pooh merchandise is still available for purchase: Shanghai’s Disney Store — the largest Disney Store in the world! — has Pooh Bear merchandise available for sale, and features some Pooh items in the background of this video from its opening. UCS Space Shuttle Atlantis - Nope. Too many NASA sets lately. Market saturation. (Also, isn't Star Wars the only line to use "UCS". Why do people use it for non-Star Wars Ideas sets?)

Thunderbirds Are Go - Nope. Not well known enough.

Pursuit of Flight - Eh... Maybe?

History Museum - Big NO. They haven't done any modular buildings from Ideas and I don't think they'll start with this.

The Office - Another big NO. The office is too big and there's too many minifigs. Also, non-US appeal is not there. This won't happen. Ever. Stop trying to make Ideas approve sets for The Office US.

Medieval Blacksmith - Possible...along the lines of Fishing Shack. It's beautiful!

Winnie the Pooh - Nope. Too big for a set for Pooh...a licensed Disney character.

Nasa Spacecraft - Nope. I mean , the creator didn't even capitalize NASA...but there have been too many like this lately. Please stop.

The Haunted Mansion: 50th Anniversary - No way at all this will ever be made. Too large and for an attraction that is only at ONE of the Disney parks. (Disneyland and other parks have haunted mansions, but they look very different.) Stop trying to gets sets for every place inside Disney parks.

The Seven Dwarfs' House - Nice build, but I really don't see it happening. (Can Ideas please just announce a temporary hold on all future NASA and Disney sets?)

Anatomini - I think it's gross the way the body is ripped open. I personally hope I don't have to look at this image much longer and it goes away and is not on store shelves for a year or two.

By in Germany,

Hope its one of the buildings, with my favorite being the Seven Dwarves House. Looks gorgeous, is sort of compatible with medieval/castle sets and I love classic fairy tales in general.

I think I will quit Lego if anything space-related wins.

Anatomini!!!!! please, amazed people don't like it. It is a brilliant piece of engineering.

Pursuit of Flight, lovely set and nice to have a smaller ideas set

Thunderbirds - very impressive but looks like it would be worryingly expensive, especially with IP costs.
