It's certainly different and a nice playset in my opinion. These minifugures look really solid too. They went with an...um...interesting choice for the box art though.

By in Australia,

I like it, nuff said.

By in United Kingdom,

This could be one of the best of the two Superhero themes sets released in the last few years.

Great figures and a great build something that recently hasn't gone hand in hand.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I hope those 24 solar panels are not stickers ...

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

That's gonna be fun to sticker up...

Gravatar
By in United States,

That Maxwell Lord minifigure is pretty solid also. The build in this set is great, and the Wonder Woman and Cheetah figures are impressive. Wonder Woman looks stunning in that Kingdom Come armor. Will be picking this up for sure!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Looks suitably 80’s - nice styling!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really want to like this set... but I just don't. I honestly don't see what people like about that build. It's a nice bunker, sure, but is that exciting? I can't say I like the look of the Cheetah, Max looks super generic, and while I love WW's gold armor, I do not like the way the helmet/ hair look, especially the way it goes over the wings.

By in United States,

I love those minifigs!

By in Netherlands,

Nice build and nice figures!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Care nothing about the movie. I'd totally gran this one ...but the deal breaker is the stickers.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I've been a Wonder Woman fan since the 60's and I'm gonna enjoy having a gold Lego Wonder Woman!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Definitely awesome figures and compared to other superhero builds this one is better than average. Unfortunately for me, it seems like there are not a lot of useful pieces.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It looks pretty interesting, I wish there were some kind of interior pictures. Two things: the box art is really strange, although certainly eye-catching; and I really hope all those solar panels are not stickered.

Is this scheduled to come out when the movie was originally supposed to?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Going to have to Bricklink that Maxwell Lord figure torso for my Hannibal (NBC) MOC, clearly...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looks like a James Bond movie set. There's even a camera.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

This isn't just a DC set but something that will fit into my City, thanks for this LEGO.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Do WW1984 takes place on the forest moon of Endor?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Nice change of pace for a super hero set, which don’t get nearly enough “building” sets instead of some sort of vehicle.

I dig the Kingdom Come Wonder Woman armor.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

I really like this build, the colors, the greenery and the antenna dish or whatever that is. I have absolutely no problem with the stickers, I even prefer them over prints. I don't care about the minifigs. I hope to buy this new without minifigs for a nice, low price :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Do I spy inverted double cheese wedges?

Gravatar
By in Israel,

Is that an inverted double cheese slope just above the entry?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm excited by neither the model nor the minifigs. I'll still buy it because it's DC, though. But my one big question here is why they went with the Pharaoh's Quest wings instead of the plastic sheet wings that they made for Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Like it. May need a few of these to build a nice solar sail.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Ver nice play set and good parts pack, but air doesn’t really grab me. I don’t know why.

26 panels and no, probably gonna be prints because they have the same design.

I really like the box art and I hope that it doesn't change. It's different.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

I'm not hyped for this film at all, but from a design standpoint, this set looks really compelling.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I like Diana in her golden eagle armour, but the Cheetah figure seems kind of bland. The box art is interesting.

What intrigues me is a lot of these movies have been pushed back, release-date wise, thanks to the corona virus. But are the toys still going to be released on the schedule they used to be? I mean, the Black Widow sets are already out, but that movie's not due out, now, until the end of the year, isn't it?

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Those panel pieces better be printed.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not a big fan of these movies, but nice set

If not enjoy the 26 stickers

Gravatar
By in United States,

This set is great! The new molds and minifigures are awesome although Maxwell Lord is just a recycled bunch of other pieces and I would’ve preferred a new Steve Trevor over him. The box art definitely looks more like an SDCC exclusive, but I think it’s a cool new idea and I’m assuming it shows the set on the back.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Picked this up at my local Target today. It was before all the announcements went out so I thought I had the premiere scoop! I can confirm the panel pieces are printed though, not stickers.

It's difficult to tell, but judging by the picture of the actual set - not just the render - they are prints.

The commentators at Brick Heroes seem to think they are prints, too, but only because they can't imagine LEGO expecting anyone to apply that many identical stickers.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That bunker's satellite is the "keeping all pieces aligned" stuff of nightmares.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The box art and set itself is great. I’m more into Marvel sets but THIS is what a superhero set should be. Not endless remakes of ridiculous vehicles.

@Zordboy:
I think it really depends on where each set is in the development/production process. Wonder Woman and Black Widow were close enough to release that the sets had probably already gone into production when things went south. For something that was supposed to be released in the summer or later, they may very well be able to push off production until a more appropriate time. The big question, though, will be if sets like this will be given a reprieve period where low sales are forgiven early on with the expectation that they'll pick up as marketing kicks in for their respective movies. Remember, the third year of the Batman theme didn't sell well to retailers at all, and the line had already been cancelled. Then a little something called The Dark Knight blew up the theaters. Suddenly you couldn't find any Batman '08 sets anywhere because what little stock remained was being bought as soon as it hit shelves. They know these sets have highly anticipated movies to push sales, but now the releases have been delayed long enough that the sets may very well be written off as failures before we start seeing ads for the films. If that happens, they may be very hard to find when the films finally see the light of day.

The hair piece for cheetah would be perfect for Khan for Star Trek.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Good looking set. Also that site shows the Shazam Polybag will be put with the Bluray release of the new Lego Shazam movie, finally going to be able to get that one.

@Morgan19:
Maybe. Maybe not. I think it's a safe bet that it uses the new pantograph shoe for the first narrow section on either side. That's a single piece, so it isn't really adjustable the way paired bars would be. The panels clip to one side of each shoe, and then you can probably just pivot them until they rest against the other side, fixing them to a specific angle. The outermost sections are probably just 3L or 4L bars, but they take their angle off the ends of the shoes, so again they're really not that adjustable. And again, you can just pivot the panel until it rests against the inner bar, the same way you did on the shoe panels. The middle section might be trickier, but I can't see enough of what's going on to know if similar tricks would work. Chances are, though, that there's a way you can easily keep things lined up, though it may not produce a result that looks exactly the way you see it in the instructions. I've built a few sets where I had to make similar calls before, tweaking the look a tiny bit to make it easier to either lock pieces in place, or arrange a reference mark that allows for a quick and easy realignment.

Interesting tower.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow, and it even comes with the Invisible Jet!

Gravatar
By in Turkey,

Transmitter tower looks like a pile of bricks. Sure gold pieces will draw some attention but other than the Wonderwoman, I really cannot see much value in this set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Very interesting landscape piece, and decent figs too. (Well, Wonder Woman and Cheetah, Max is meh). The tower looks good enough on it's own to be a nice (and different) design rather than a generic building or cheap vehicle. I could see picking this up at $30 or $40, but I bet it's more expensive than that.

That's...one way to say the word "minifigure" I guess

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I'm interested in why they went down this path for the box art (it looks great, but also why?)
Maybe they're going to switch up the box art for more sets?? I honestly don't know how to feel about that...

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

The upper side of Cheetah works great on a centaur piece as well. Very useable fantasy figure.
The tower is also very neat, and is useable in themes like city, space, sw (another endor bunker? A tower that needs to be demolished/defended by the new 501 squad?)
I do hope that the tiles are printed

Gravatar
By in Norway,

As Norikins says, it really reminds me of the final scenes from "The Man With The Golden Gun", where Bond has to retrieve the "solex" thingy from underneath that solar ray contraption (tempting to use the Patric torso from 3830 to make a three-nipple Scaramanga figure). It's somewhat nice but not something I think I'll buy - it's supposed to cost 40e which probably means it'll be like 50-55e in Norway, especially as such mid-sized licensed sets tends to be notoriously poor value around here (like as if they just overshoots one price bracket and then they round it up to the next one).

EstragonHelmer and CaptainRed - I don't think these are inverted cheese wedges but rather regular ones held in place with an upside-down inverted tile in the middle, on the last photo on the Brickheroes page you can see some gaps between these pieces and the tiles on the sides.

Gravatar
By in France,

Really like the new pearl gold colour : look at WW helmet! It's closer to real gold than the more yellowish predecessor. Even if in my hands it eventually never looks as "gold like" as on those more and more photoshoped official pictures.

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

I won't comment on the other speculation, but I will confirm the solar panels are printed. :)

use yellow color for those FOUR-SIDED SIGN WITH SNAP bricks instead of grey
so without stickers won't look so sheet

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I saw it on Instagram myself last night the box art alone is lovely... but the set is even better, and I love the minifigs!

I wish they'd produce more than one set though same with black widow there was only one set 3 would of been better!!

Maxwell Lord is lazy. But the other figs are fantastic!!!!

I can confirm they are not inverted cheese wedges, but there is a simple, yet clever, building technique used here to flip direction that I won't spoil.

By in United States,

Nice, but I don’t buy the DC movie sets since the movies are terrible (except SHAZAM! which I really like).

Speaking of SHAZAM!...

https://www.brickheroes.com/lego-dc-shazam-magic-and-monsters-2/

Looks like in Europe they’ll be able to get the 30623 SHAZAM! polybag on June 24. I’m guessing we here in the US won’t be far behind!

Gravatar
By in United States,

It took some digging, but I finally found it: the angled black double bars that give the dish its shape are NOT new, but design 37494. They were only found in two expensive ($150+) train sets in 2018. Looks like we get at least 6 here!

@Darth_Studhilus:
I think that was several ways to say "minifigs" all balled up into one word-pile.

@magykfyre:
Overwatch? One weird issue they have is that the boxes are generally much bigger than they need to be. They've been trying to shrink them for a combination of reasons (shipping density, retail shelf density, and environmentalism), but the problem they've had is that a lot of parents expect to see a 1:1 image of the set on each box. Fail to deliver that, and they'll assume one of the images you used is 1:1, and often feel that the set they envision isn't worth the cost it's priced at. If they can get away from using just an image of the set for the box art, they may have better luck with shrinking the box size.

@BrickC137:
That would be the pantograph shoe I mentioned.
