Tips and Tricks #3

Posted by ,

Hi everyone, Tiago here with more Tips and Tricks.

Today we focus on city and house essentials. As always, making use of LEGO math, and taking some known elements out of context for (hopefully) interesting results

ATM Machine

Because every city needs an ATM machine, here is one! Since I had made so many household items, I figured also doing outside items could be usefull.

Find the pieces you need and a building guide in the following video:

Dinner Table

Doing a LEGO table can be very straightforward, but I was still missing a cool design for chairs.

But then, the 2x2 inverted brackets gave me the inspiration I needed, so we can serve dinner now!

Bookshelf

We've seen countless times LEGO books/bookshelves being done always the same way: sideways plates and tiles.

So I wanted to do something different to break the monotony! LEGO ingots make for good book spines no?

Until next time!

And don't forget, stay safe, and build something fun today!

The bookshelf and dinner table are both excellent, especially the bookshelf. I am building a giant Hogwarts and I am currently doing the library, and will definitely use this technique - it is much more interesting than the usual way.

Thanks so much for these articles! Very clever way you use parts, which after I see the builds I'm like, now why didn't I think of that? I suppose the answer is because I am not a LEGO Master lol. I've subscribed to your channel Tiago and look forward to building these along w/many others.

Great stuff, this should become a monthly feature!

With Lego, it is not the large sets that look realistic that impress me as much as the small sets that do.

My OCD is pegged by those 'book spines' not lined up with all the LEGO marks right side-up. Interesting use of rounded-edge of part https://brickset.com/parts/design-11458 Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Pin Hole on Top for some of the spines too!

I echo DarthBrickus request that this should become a monthly feature.
The design of the ATM is exemplary.
