Another new Halloween set...

I forgot to mention this set in the last article but it's interesting enough to warrant its own.

854049 Pumpkin & Bat Duo contains a couple of hanging ornaments in a fancy box, of the type usually used to house seasonal promotional minifigures.

Apart from the fact they are covered in stickers, they look quite cool and are something a bit different. The set will be available on 1st August.

Thanks to Robert at Promobricks for bringing this one to my attention.

This is indeed cool but less so because of the stickers. I really like the seasonal sets Lego releases.

So lazy. The antithesis of what LEGO should be about.

What, you don't have a Halloween tree with a gnarly face and leafless branches on which to hang Halloween ornaments? ;)

By in Norway,

Stickers, seriously?! Have they done that before in a seasonal set? Anyway it’s a step in the wrong direction.

Hmm, interesting. But the stickers for the mouth that make it look cut in the middle are horible!

By in United States,

I've seen both a doctor's office and a small regional restaurant chain who have a tree they leave out all year and then decorate accordingly as the seasons change. I live far enough from a public road, trick-or-treaters don't come here, and I'm not big on decorating for Halloween.

These look halfway decent, but the stickers ruin it. LEGO stickers do not age well ,and for something that is an ornament to be used year after year, that's not gonna work. They should've printed the parts. That being said, I have a CMF elf, an older Christmas viginette, and a Creator wreath in my Christmas decorations (well, they're out all year), and plan to buy more. I really want to build a smallish, roughly 8-inch tall Christmas tree this year.
