Monkey King BrickHeadz on the way!

The existence of a Monkey King BrickHeadz has been revealed by the Malaysian LEGO.com site!
Three further regular Monkie Kid sets have also been found at the same source: 80014 Sandy's Speedboat, 80015 Monkie Kid's Cloud Roadster and 80016 The Flaming Foundry.
There's no picture for 40381 Monkey King yet but the description reads as follows:

Sweet! looking forward to it! :-D
BrickHeadz lives!
... and they'll be $300 each, to go with the rest of the Monkey King range?
The only Monkey Kid set I would consider buying, as i am on a Brickheadz hype atm.
"If only MK had affordable, entry-level sets"
finger on the monkey's paw slowly curls...
So is this the first large scale Brickheadz? That will be interesting...
What makes you think it's size would be different from the other brickheadz?

Like any other Lego set. This is marketing speak at its worst.
Very excited for another brickheadz! I’m starting to run out of room though in my office display.
Well, I wanted cheaper sets to make getting into the theme easier, but this wasn’t what I had in mind.

You do realize the boilerplate appears in one form or another in every single LEGO product description in recent years, right? New customers get introduced to LEGO every day and shop.LEGO.com doesn't exist only to serve those who are familiar with the brand. Some of the models, even the smaller ones like BrickHeadz, can be daunting to newcomers especially when the product pages prominently advertise 3-digit piece counts for every buildable set.
I've seen many newcomers remarking on how impressively easy to follow LEGO building instructions are even for kids way younger than the targeted age range, or for elderly builders who may struggle with reading the illustrations and putting small pieces together — and LEGO's building instructions have come a long way since the decades leading up to the noughties — so the marketing team is clearly on to something and this is far, far from the worst they've done.
Even folks like Zack Nelson (JerryRigEverything) remarked on it while building 42082; granted, that was the largest Technic model ever (until 42100 arrived), but still, it's clear that the "step-by-step, illustrated instructions" you and I take for granted are in fact the gold standard in building toy instructions and something the toy company should be proud of.
I clicked on the link:
“Looks like something has gone wrong!”
Story of my life...sigh... :)
Not bought any FULL price Monkie kids yet, I will get one on 20% off. However I do like Brickheadz and there has been somewhat of a gap..... Pre-Ordered the SW wars one months ago, only 29 days to go, plus 5 days for delivery. So I will be buying this one pretty quick at retail.
Surely they won't still be using the standard, vacant, creepy, beyond-the-grave Brickheadz eyes, will they...?
the eyes The Eyes THE EYES!!

It has more pieces than a typical one character brick head, and it says that it’s five inches tall, whereas most brickheadz are around two to three inches tall.
Personally while it's nice to be getting a BrickHeadz set (especially given how rare those are for non-licensed themes) I'm also really excited for the other sets! Not only do they promise a mobile base for the DBK and his family, but the other two sets feature additional antagonists from Journey to the West—the gold horned and silver horned demons and spider queen. These antagonists appear in the introduction to the TV pilot as well, giving me more hope that we might see more episodes of that show this year!
Anyone else wonder why Princess Iron Fan has only come in sets that are (or likely will be) more than $50?
Sandy's Speedboat sounds very interesting, I hope it's relatively cheap and/or looks cool because I really want

I think it's just because she's one of the more major villains. Lego tends to put those in larger sets both to incentivize people to buy those bigger sets and because bigger sets allow showdowns between heroes and villains to feel more dramatic, like a climactic battle between good and evil instead of a small-scale chase or scuffle. The same would probably be done for the Demon Bull King himself were he a regular figure instead of a large-scale build himself.
I love seeing LEGO Original Characters in BrickHeadz form, with Lloyd and Wu being two of my favorite sets from the line. Here's hoping someone like Tahu or Johnny Thunder gets the treatment next!
Good to see more Brickheadz are coming. Just a shame they’ll be $500 to go with the rest of the range!

You're right; I've now done my share.
So far the most exciting thing to me about the Monkie Kid theme is the fact that there now is a plain dark turquoise hips-and-legs piece for monofig builders. ;-)
If the sets are not reaching our standard retailers in Aus then any brickheads will not sell well as not many will buy the sets. If they eventually are sold by our retailers then they may be able to sell a few. I love mechs and would have bought the 2 in this theme if they got a discount at retail. As it stands I heard we are not getting them except at Lego shops so no thanks.
They actually revealed the descriptions for the upcoming sets Here's the proof: https://www.lego.com/en-my/product/sandy-s-speedboat-80014
