2 out of 4, not bad. surprised MF won by so much.

By in Netherlands,

Nooo, AS lost! ;)

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Wow Hogwarts, that was close! You're my favourite LEGO set of all time, please win!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

not surprised that the Parisian Restaurant won the first rounds, its by far the most popular set with Brickset users being the most owned.

I compiled a list here of the top 30: https://brickset.com/sets/list-35959

Of all the sets in the Quarter Final contenders only 2 are in the top 30, the Parisian and Saturn V.

By in Italy,

Millennium Falcon VS Apollo Saturn V. Can't get any more perfect.
It appears I voted for two losers this time: admittedly the Parisian VS Town Square was a close one, but I don't get how the Ninjago City could win against the Pirates: in ship form, that set can be proudly displayed in your living rooms for decades to come, like its predecessor, while the Ninjago City, as detailed as it may be, is a weird big block that doesn't fit anywhere. Well, I guess sometimes the community can be wrong :D

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow! I have a set in each one of these quarter-finals. I'll vote my bias :)

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Should be a revote on 6....win by only by 1 vote

Gravatar
By in Australia,

While I voted for Ninjago City I'm still surprised it actually won! Thought that would or the modular buildings would be the photo finish races, not Hogwarts v coaster! Looking forward to the next round. Thanks Huw for such a fun poll :)

PS - Hogwarts v Saturn V would be like the chicken and the egg thing lol, Hogwarts is impressive, but would it exist as it does without the Saturn V paving the way on cylindrical design?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well my bracket is blown up. Have to root for 79003 now. And keep playing with the roller coaster, as opposed to just staring at Hogwarts.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I was on the fence between the Rollercoaster and Hogwarts as I don't own either... In the end I chose the latter, as it is aesthetically more pleasing to me. Sorry Rollercoaster fans! ;-)

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Hey, that's not fair @Huw ! Why don't all the advocates get a chance to win something but only those who advocate from round two onwards? If I had known that I would have waited to volunteer for later.

At least I won't have to feel guilty if "my" Saturn V loses against the MF (which I still hope it won't as it is so much better a set than that "hunk of junk" - no matter how fast that may be...)

My interpretation of what Huw said is ALL rounds (4 in total) so Yes, you'll be included.

By in United Kingdom,

Remarkably I am 8 out of 8 so far.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

The quarter finals are an interesting mix for me

Quarter finals 2 and 3
- I have no “skin in the game”

Quarter final 1
- Hoping the Parisian Restaurant gets through.

Then

Quarter final 4

Wow

Wow

It’s my favourite set (probably my favourite collectable) v my 2nd favourite set.

It’s my favourite set v what I think is the best set.

Do I vote with my heart or do I vote according to the question being asked...

Gravatar
By in United States,

This time 3/4 of the more expensive sets won. (The first four bouts the cheaper set won all four times).

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

So again, only 1 of the sets (Parisian restaurant) I voted for got through and is facing the only other set I voted for from the first batch (MMV). Its going to be a tough one. Overall, its a very difficult quarterfinal line-up - there are so many incredible sets!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ouch!!!! Ninjago City vs. An unexpected Gathering. Those are my two favorite sets. Unexpected Gathering though would get my vote.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I voted 4 out of 4. Hope that continues on to the quarterfinals. The only difficult one for me to pick will be the first one as I voted for both.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Time to change that first image to just include sets that are actually still in the game?

Sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear: all four (1st round, quarter- , semi- and final) advocates for the eventual winner will win a prize, so if Saturn V wins that includes you.

Gravatar
By in South Africa,

I'd love to advocate for a fight. Specifically Ninjago City vs An unexpected gathering. The 'get in touch' link doesn't seem to load up anything aside from the homepage. Thanks! (=

Gravatar
By in United States,

I thought the weakest part of this fun contest was where advocates would take time to explain why the opposing set SHOULDN'T win. Weird to see this encouraged!

Gravatar
By in Spain,

Poor Emerald Night never stood a chance...

Gravatar
By in Italy,

I’m surprised that all of the ones I voted for won, this contest is getting fun

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well I’m volunteering to advocate for Unexpected Gathering. I don’t care if it’s the smallest set left standing, it does more with so little that it should easily be the winner.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Predictions:

Parisian
Ninjago
Hogwarts
Falcon

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Falcon is something that could be easily dropped so I dunno if Hogwarts or Falcon will win that bout

Gravatar
By in Jordan,

I don't know about the fighting talk bit. One of the things that turned me away from the Emerald Night was how little was actually said about the set itself. Personally I think downtalking the opposition should be kept to a minimum, with more effort being directed to detailing what makes your set great.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Ugh. I forgot to vote yesterday, and I SO would have voted for the Roller Coaster. :-/ What would have happened in the case of a tie?

Gravatar
By in France,

I got 0 out 4 first time and 4 out of 4 now, I feel better lol. After the first round I really expected MF would be out. While it's not one of my favourites, it would have been a shame. Wonder if roller coaster should still get a chance, though it got the least votes of the round.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m requesting a recount. Roller coaster totally should have won. Think there is voter fraud! These mail in ballots are a hoax. Haha. I only voted on all 5 of my devices for the roller coaster. Well trump def agrees with me on a recount.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I now just need an advocate for Hogwarts Castle so if you're up for it please get in touch. helpdesk @ brickset.com

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Mediaval Market Place, Ninjago City, Old Fishing Store, UCS Millenium Falcon. I thought it was the five best sets?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Thank you to the last person who voted for Hogwarts!
My predictions:
The first round is definitely going to the restaurant.
The second round will be Ninjago unless the small set advocates pull through.
The third round will be probably be Hogwarts. It barely beat the Roller Coaster but comparing it to the Fishing Store is a more fair contest.
The fourth round is a toss-up. Star Wars fans vs. everyone else.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

When I saw the list of the initial sixteen I thought, well this is going to be boring. But now that we're through the first round, unexpectedly I'm getting really excited about it. Thanks Huw for putting this out there and allowing all to participate!

Space fantasy vs. space reality. THAT is an interesting match up!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Wow I'm 8 for 8 so far in voting for the winners! Perhaps I should by a lottery ticket...

Interesting to see how the total votes for each round vary by so much.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

The quarter 1 is promises to be interesting.
Myself I like both, but will vote for the Medieval Market Village.
This small market place, a lot of details, a few animals, 8 minifigures and two nice buildings.
Only the 7189 Mill Village Raid is better.

The other ones are still David and Goliath, nice against huge.

I hope that the ones with the highest count of pieces will not win.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh wow! I’m disappointed by Pirates of Barracuda Bay’s loss… but I understand the appeal of Ninjago City… still though… PIRATE SHIP!!! Emerald Night’s loss is sad but against the MF… I mean, did it really stand a chance, even its advocate wasn’t convinced. ;)

Now… Saturn V vs Millenium Falcon… oh my! Go Saturn V!!!!!

And @Huw: this entire contest is a really neat and fun idea!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Crazy Idea - could these be open for voting for more than like... 12 minutes? I've only gotten to vote once... something this monumental should have days so that I can second guess my vote endlessly until I'm curled in a ball, laying on bricks.

@biffuz said:

When I built the TNC I really found it was a really fun build per item. Something I hadn't experienced in a long time. That was the reason for me to vote here.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Sad that the Emerald Night lost out, to me it's the more creative, original and affordable of the two (not to mention it brought me back to the Trains theme). I wonder if the current insane prices (2/3 of the Falcon!) has something to say, making it just as out-of-reach to the average collector as the MF.

I also find it strange that you want *more* trash talk this time, given how you otherwise close the comments at the drop of a hat. Yes, I'm disappointed we aren't allowed to comment on the Osprey affair, to me the discussion seemed reasonably civil (even if I may have missed a few deleted posts) - again a few people who steps over the line are allowed to ruin everything for the rest of us.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I pen this with briny tears meandering down my face, as I gaze through my spyglass at the loss of my beloved Pirates of Barracuda Bay. I feel lost at sea.

This was a perfect set. Amazingly versatile for display options and a cannonball of nostalgic mayhem, honoring the Pirates theme, which was instrumental in evolving minifigs to what they are today (different body parts like hooks and peg legs as well as introducing facial features).

My scallywagg heart is broken. It can't go on.

As an American, however, I should be used to the fact that democratic processes can lead to horrendous results that haunt you for years.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I WON IT FOR HOGWART'S!!!

Although there are 2023 other people that can claim the same thing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Just want to say great idea/execution with this so far. What a shame the Emerald Night never had a chance against that monster of a set..

Gravatar
By in Russian Federation,

I have strong feeling that for such a title (best sets of millenium) there should be a couple of categories based on parts count or price maybe. Because (except for Bag end and maybe Emerald Night) it became a kind of contest of HUGE detailed sets. But are bigger sets really "best"? What about just great smaller sets like 60092-1 or 5770-1?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Judging by vote counts, feels like MF is going to be the winner in the end, maybe Ninjago city and Medieval village as runners up...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I personally am not the a fan of Ninjago City, but others are, and An Unexpected Gathering was starting to be a great underdog story. Now I don't see how it'll win.

Gravatar
By in United States,

What happened to the posting for the results from the first 4? I don't see that article listed now. I was curious as to how many votes were cast for each of those sets, compared to votes for yesterday's battle.
The Roller Coaster losing by 1 vote, or the Hogwarts Castle winning by 1 vote, either way you look at it, goes to show that every vote does count. But it also shows equal love for both sets. Which is true for myself, having to pick one over the other was a hard choice.

Just because people voted for MF when paired with Emerald Night is no guarantee that they will still vote for it when it goes up against a different set.

But it's clear that the UCS MF is the big aspirational set for Star Wars fans. (Hogwart's being a big aspriational set for the HP crowd, but you get the sense that on here at least the Star Wars fans outnumber the HP).

Gravatar
By in United States,

I got all of the ones I voted for right this time!

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

I hope the winner is one of the modular buildings. :) However, I won't be surprised the winner is MF. Hahaha!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Honestly I haven't really been following this too well, but I'm extremely surprised that Ninjago City beat the Pirates set. With all the details and throwbacks to the classic pirate themes in Barracuda Bay it's impossible for me to believe it couldn't have been anything but a complete shoe-in.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Snazzy_Bricks said:
"Ok what happened in Barracuda vs Ninjago city? I was expecting a very different result."

Why? For most of these sets, they have their audience. Broadly speaking, Barracuda is a nostalgia set for people who remember the old Pirates theme. Ninjago City has a cross-appeal for people who are into modular sets. It's also older so there are more people who will have an attachment and be prepared to back it.

I thought it could have gone either way, but I don't find the result surprising.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

All the advocate positions have been filled. Thanks to everyone who responded.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Emerald Night put up more of a fight than I thought it would, even up against ‘Goliath’...

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

The bottom half of the bracket is much stronger than the top half. The bottom four sets really should be the semi-finalists.

Likely Falcon or Hogwarts for me as best set. A bit unfair as they are the largest sets.

Very surprised that the Death Star 10188 but I Guess the 75189 took some votes away from it. It this was done for the first 10 years I am sure it would have won hands down. I still think it is the best “traditional” lego set as it has play value, not just display value like Hogwarts (which is proudly on display in my house).

As for Ninjago City that is near the top of my list for worst set this millennium.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The most interesting thing from yesterday IMO is how the modular bout and the Hogwarts/Rollercoaster match up had 1,000 fewer votes than the other two. I wonder if people couldn't decide or didn't care enough to vote in those matchups?

I think the Falcon is the favorite to win it all at this point with Ninjago City right behind based on total votes cast. The Hogwarts/Fishing store looks to be the most interesting match up of this round.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Duq said:
"Poor Emerald Night never stood a chance..."

I voted for it because I genuinely think it should have had a chance, it was an awesome set from a different time...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Barracuda Bay lost, sad. That one's probably my all-time favorite set. Or in the very least, my favorite set I've gotten in quite a long while.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Oh well. This time all of the ones I voted for won! Which is... the exact opposite to the first half.

...and both times, there was one bout that I simply sat out because I didn't have a solid enough opinion either way to vote. If the Star Wars sets had been pitted against other contestants, one way or another my decision would have been clear; but against MMV and EN, I couldn't quite justify voting either for or against, no matter which way I looked at it.

I still predict Saturn V for ultimate winner. It wouldn't be my personal choice, and I'm not going to vote for it myself; but I see so much love for it here on Brickset that I seriously can't imagine any other outcome at this point. We'll see if I'm surprised or not xD

Thinking how a set winning over another as ridiculous is more ridiculous. It's a popularity contest, not my favorite is the best set.

Really surprised that the Hogwarts Castle won by ONE vote, I guess I didn't realize how attractive the functionality of roller coaster could be. Looking forward to the quarter-finals!

By in Canada,

My thoughts...

1st place: Parisian Restaurant
2nd place: Hogwarts Castle
3rd place: Ninjago City
4th place: Millennium Falcon
5th place: Saturn V
6th place: Medieval Market Village

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why did NINJAGO city have to win? I Believe that Pirates of Barracuda Bay is a much better set. True, the NINJAGO city has more play ability but Pirates of Barracuda Bay has two builds. NINJAGO city doesn't.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That's just my opinion though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Emerald night, you were a great set but I don't think there was any doubt. And to the Pirate fans, I'm truly sorry, but you put up a good fight.

Wow, Millennium Falcon vs. Saturn V--looking forward to the Space Showdown! -That's- going to be quite the fight!

I agree with those calling for more positive advocates--the argument used "for" Emerald Night was what I turned against it to vote for the Falcon. At least I think--I can't seem to find the voting articles on the site anymore.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow MF vs Apollo V Rocket?!? The Space Race is back on!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Parisian Restaurant is my favorite of these sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

you cant actually do this contest because you would have to vote for every singular lego set ever made from poly bags to the UCS falcon

Gravatar
By in United States,

I stand firmly by Ninjago City as my favorite set of all time. It may not be an objective best (can such a thing exist?), or everyone's cup of tea, but it's first in my heart. I don't expect everyone to like it, but I hope that people can see why it's so wonderful to many of us, and not be so surprised by its strong support. It's wholly unique as a cyberpunk Japanese cityscape, all stacked on a single baseplate, full of life, color, play value, and great building techniques!

BUILDING EXPERIENCE!
According to Brickset's database, Ninjago City is the sixth largest regular set of all time... following Hogwarts, both UCS Millennium Falcons, and both releases of the Taj Mahal. It's followed by the Imperial Star Destroyer, Ghostbusters firehouse, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, and the roller coaster. Unlike every other set in that list and every other set of that size, Ninjago City is not remotely repetitive to build because its construction is so diverse and enjoyable. It's the most enjoyable building experience I've ever had with a set, and it's one of the most creative finished products as well.

CREATIVITY!
Nearly every other set I've listed above (LEGO's largest) as well as the other sets in the running for the best of the millennium have clear reference material. Middle Earth, Hogwarts, and Star Wars have all been visualized in films; sailing ships (European and junk), architecture (medieval, European, coastal New England, and even arboreal), and roller coasters all exist in real life; the Disney castle is a real place, and the Flying Scotsman and Saturn V are real vehicles. Cyberpunk architecture is much less familiar to most people, presently largely fictional, and much less clearly defined.

All of the sets in the Brickset Bouts are top-notch, and I personally love all of them. All sixteen are excellent, but fifteen are based off clear concepts, if not outright reference material. It's incredible to see the Millennium Falcon and Hogwarts - which many of us dream about flying on or learning at in real life - realized so perfectly. When we look at those sets, we say "wow, that looks perfect!" because we KNOW what it's "supposed" to look like. Ninjago City stands apart as a set that had to first define for itself what it was going to be. Then, in addition to that, it had to be an excellent realization thereof: so excellent, in fact, that it conveyed what it was striving to be in the first place - and even by that lofty standard, it excels! It also has to imply an entire city on a single baseplate - another strange demand that it meets and exceeds!

Creativity and play are at the heart of LEGO, and no set embodies that to the degree that Ninjago City does... it is, after all, a set ripe with as much play value and narrative potential as it has design and display value! I wish that everyone could have the opportunity to build it - if you did, I think you'd understand my love for it. It really was a wonderful experience to do so.

All this is to say... I guess I should've volunteered to advocate for it!

Prognosis / Pronostics:

4 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V

By in United States,

I’m surprised how people are weirdly sensitive about a little playful smack talk. He didn’t say “if you like Star Wars you’re an idiot.” He said “since Leia thinks it’s a bucket of bolts, you should vote for the train.” That sort of thing shouldn’t offend anyone and it makes the competition fun. We are, after all, voting on the best toy. Glad Huw is encouraging it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I actually liked the Roller Coaster way more than Hogwarts, the mini model never seemed as cool as collecting all the modular minifig scale sets.

No surprise that Barracuda Bay and Ninjago City were close. Even I had trouble deciding between them, but I did rank Barracuda a little higher.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I’ve still got my fingers crossed for 79003 An Unexpected Gathering BUT 70620 NINJAGO City Is going to be a really tough competitor.

Gravatar
By in Japan,

It is worth noting that this popularity contest being largely based on set ownership makes the results, at least so far, somewhat predictable no-matter how one chooses to vote. 75% of the more popular sets have won, with the only two exceptions being the Medieval Market Village, which likely beat the Slave I due to its extraordinary nostalgia factor, and the Hogwarts Castle, which has similar levels of ownership compared to the Roller Coaster and won by 1 vote. I think instead of randomizing the sets in a head-to-head bout, pairing them against each other based on their ownership numbers would have made for closer and less predictable outcomes. However, going into the quarter-finals, I have to admit the results are looking completely unpredictable at this later stage and the outcomes may very well be decided by the advocacy authors, so my argument may no longer be valid by then.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Never knew you can win by one vote. The RC should have won. Well really disappointed by the results so far, even the top 16 was a disappointment tbh. None of my top 5 made the top 16 list. To those above who said PR would easily beat MMV, we'll see. PR only beats AS with a small margin and MMV beats S1 by a mile (biggest margin so far). So it would be for sure a close contest, would be really shocked if PR beats MMV by a mile. Also don't really see MF would beats MMV by a mile consider MMV beats S1 by a mile. To some people S1 is better than MF. If they match up it would be a close match as well.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Got on yesterday in time to vote and only 2 out of the 4 had been posted. Forgot to get on again after the other 2 were posted. I would have voted for roller coaster so my vote would have tied if I had got back on when I did.

Really wish we had more than 24 hours for some of these choices

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Lvl I don't think you're wrong, but I don't know what other outcome there could be. I think there's almost a direct correlation between set ownership and what sets people consider "best" - it follows that people buy the sets they like the most, and don't buy the ones they don't.

Also, which I think advocacy authors might swing a small percentage of the vote, I'd imagine most people would base their decision based on their own personal emotion and reasoning. If anything, the advocacy may just serve as a reminder to trigger peoples memory from their build experience or something.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'd like to see Medieval Market Village win but I don't think it stands a chance against the front runner.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

My favourite set of all time, the Emerald Night got drawn against the people's favourite, the Falcon. I love Star Wars and even though I voted for the EN, I respect the Falcon's victory. Shame that the brackets were set like that, as there were many other top 16 sets it could have beaten. If it got further, it might have insentivised TLG to make more trains. I really hope the Falcon DOES NOT win outright - like I said I love Star Wars, but having the biggest and most expensive set win is boring and predictable.

Also, @Huw, will we get a "3rd/4th playoff" and the results from the original vote where people submitted 5 sets released?

I wasn't planning a play off but I guess we could hold one if there's interest and advocates.

Yes, I will publish the original vote when it's over. It will be interesting to see how it aligns with the contest.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Glad to see Ninjago City got its due, but disappointed in the voting against the Emerald Night. I mean, like I wrote in the comments, I own both sets, and that means they are both, in my eyes, really, really good and quality sets. Otherwise, I wouldn't have spent a total of $900 on them both. So I had to dig deep to figure out what elevated one over the other. And I think Emerald Night was the better. Oh well; we'll see how the UCS Falcon does in this next round.

Well 1st place should align, since everybody will vote for what they consider to be the overall best set, irrespective of what it's drawn against.

Order below 1st will literally be luck of the draw.

I agree. Stuff like UFC or wrestling have divisions by weight. Heavyweight sets shouldn't be competing with featherweight sets.

At the same time, this is a "best of" competition, so naturally the bigger and more detailed sets will float to the top.

On a different note, there are just as many, if not more, FOLs who grew up with Ninjago, not Pirates. Pirates of Barracuda Bay is an amazing throwback, but Ninjago City is an absolute masterclass in parts usage and what is possible with Lego.

By in Hungary,

7/8 right. This is really exciting, thanks for setting it up!
Btw, all decisions were so hard, they are all lovely sets, great representation on why we love lego!

I seriously doubt that anyone was offended by the smack talk, it's just that downtalking the opposing side seems less helpful to your cause than focusing on your set's merits. To me at least, it gives off the impression that not very much can be said about your set, so you talk about the other side.

Did I miss something? When was 1, 4, 5, and 8 fought?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Forgot to put in my vote for the Hogwarts Castle last night, and it only won by one vote! Crazy.

Come on Saturn V!!!

No way man! They were a vote apart, surprising for me to be honest. Hogwarts is a much better build in my opinion, however much trains are cool ;)

6/8 of mine won.
Disney castle lost. ??
I chose not to vote on another,

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm disappointed that the polls are only open for a few hours. I was busy yesterday and didn't get to vote...and I would have voted for the Roller Coaster over Hogwarts!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Me and my mate were going to vote for the Rollercoaster, but then we thought our votes would never make a difference so didn’t bother.

"Of course you can win by one vote, given the one with most votes wins. The rollercoaster shouldn't have won, as it got fewer votes than Hogwarts."
If it's that close in most situations people may expect a runoff/revote, etc, or let people vote for a little longer until the margin is slightly wider. Even 10 votes would be too close to call, let alone 1 vote. Fewer votes? Yes, but just by 1 vote. It's basically a tie. As you can see from many of the comments above, a lot of people said they would have voted RC if they knew it's this close and I think RC would have won if people knew it's that close. And yes, the RC should have won imo. HC is not really special to me compared to RC.

By in United States,

@vader11 Runoff? Revote?? This isn’t a presidential election, relax. Both sets are exceptional and it could have easily gone either way.

By in Turkey,

Looking at the results I'm almost certain that MF will take the cake at the end.

That's the attitude that brought the world things like Brexit, the Big Orange One, and many other calamities.

Takeaway: never forget that EVERY vote counts!

Yeah right. No revote or extend voting time. Just flip a coin if there's a tie in future rounds.

That was the initial round where we listed our favorite 5 sets of the last 20 years. Then, the sets that were listed the most reached the knockout round (round of 16).

By in Australia,

It’s such a pity that 10255 Assembly Square,
21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay,
71040 Disney Castle, and most particularly 10261 Roller Coaster have been eliminated before the quarterfinals!
I’d happily have all 4 in my top 8 of the last 20 years, and both Barracuda Bay & Roller Coaster are easily worthy of taking the trophy - maybe all-time!! (Not just this Millenium) - and it seems many Brickset members share that opinion, judging by the comments. Just unlucky first-round matchups :(
Would definitely take ANY of these 4 over Old Fishing Store, Unexpected Gathering & Medieval Market Village - all great sets, and nothing against them, but really surprised they each made the top-16, let alone won a round!
Still shocked that Unexpected Gathering knocked out the Disney Castle!
Oh well, it’s all just a game, and a lot of fun!
Don’t forget to smile, people ??

@ c c c would be interesting to see what the people would say if the the future rounds and final round are also being won by 1 vote out of thousands of votes.

lol sure winning a soccer game by 1 goal (1:0) is certainly the same as winning by 1 vote out of over 4000 votes.

Gravatar
By in South Africa,

After the detailed release of the Grand Piano, you have a very strong contender for this. You might have to add the set to this draw, it looks simply amazing and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Another TWW fan! Though it would never happen, how cool would it be to get a set based off the show?

Thank you! I'd almost given up hope--especially painful after reading the backer's write-up in the relevant Brickset Bout!

By in United Kingdom,

I can't believe Assembly Square is out. It's the only one I own and when I bought it I had to decide between it and the Parisian Restaurant. The Parisian is great but the Assembly Square is better.

Likewise! I agree, that would be awesome! It's fun to hope... and rewatching it recently makes me want to try my hand at MOCing the characters, at the very least.
