Two new Christmas sets unveiled

Posted by ,

Occasionally LEGO offers us sets for review without providing any details about them other than a number, so when they turn up they are a complete surprise.

That was certainly the case with the pair that arrived this week: 40425 BrickHeadz Nutcracker and this fantastic 40426 Christmas Wreath 2-in-1, which contains over 90 foliage and plant elements.

There's a picture of the Nutcracker after the break and I'll be publishing my reviews of them in the next few hours.

They will both be available from the 1st of October.

Oooooo - hello. That wreath looks very interesting. Nice to see something different with the Christmas Theme

By in Singapore,

No wonder you were surprised — the set numbers are numerically consecutive but they're two entirely different builds! Just both Christmas-themed.

Anyway, click hinge fans rejoice!

By in Germany,

40426 looks awesome! Hopefully a GWP. At last not another Christmas tree, Santa or nutcracker.

Love the wreath! Does the elf house also drop on Oct. 1st?

By in United States,

I think the wreath is definitely worth picking up, even if just for the plant elements!

By in Germany,

wrath of the nutcracker :P

By in Australia,

Oh wow these are both fantastic. If these aren’t the usual two gwp offers then I wonder what is, although neither has that distinctive packaging they have had for those in previous years. The wreath is gorgeous!!! And so is the nutcracker Brickheadz!!

Edit: hadn’t noticed the last line of article, which means these aren’t going to be gwp

Seen this on Instagram earlier, myself & the wife love it... any ideas how much it will be in the Uk yet
(The wreath)?

The wreath is fantastic.

Oh wow, Love the wreath! Going to have to buy two of those. Have been building a simple Advent wreath with the kids the past few years, but looks like it will be easy to substitute the candles on the tabletop version in the new set.

Hopefully next year holiday Brick Sketches will be rolling out.

I don't understand why these Brickheads are so popular that they survive for so long...

By in Germany,

Plant parts! Can you get enough of them?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'll be getting the wreath.

That wreath is good!
Even if you don't care too much about it as a set or Christmas decoration, once Yule time is over seasonal themed sets this will be bagged up again. But this is a very nice parts pack, with lots of plant/foliage parts, green bricks are always good for landscaping too, building a park in your city, or forest next to your castle etc.
This is very cool, it does not seem to have any of those weirdly out of place coloured bricks that you can only use in a hidden filler type of way.
I hope it will have a nice (not so expensive) price tag, I will pick one or maybe two up.

By in United States,

I'm so excited about the advent wreath/candles! I'll have to order some pink/purple parts to make the liturgically correct candles.

By in United Kingdom,

A bit of modding of the wreath and you could use it at an AFOL’s funeral.

By in Singapore,

That wreath is a perfect parts pack for jungle building!

By in Puerto Rico,

Amazing sets indeed.

40426 is definitely an epic seasonal set. For those who buy their sets for parts, there is a ton of foliage elements in it. As a display set: All I can say, as the owner of 30028, this new set puts it to shame! 30028 is so small, it's really hard to display. It's better as an ornament (which is what I use it for).

And the nut cracker (as well as Frankenstein) are the first Brickheads I've actually wanted to buy.

The most important thing about these Christmas sets is that it means that the next modular is right around the corner! Can't wait for the announcement!

Love, love, love the Advent Wreath. Already thinking I need at least two to make it even larger.
Dear Lego,
Please make it a give away in October or November, I'll spend whatever it takes to get two of them. My wife will forgive me afterwards for spending so much. LOL.

By in United States,

Wow, the wreath is really well designed and I'm impressed that its a 2 in 1 as well. Not a brickheadz person, but I think it looks fine as well.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Already on the website coming October 1st, $34.99 USD. Looks like it will not be a giveaway.

By in Netherlands,

Is this going to be the free give away with the new elf club house?
Either way, kind of a boring set...
