Nebulon B Frigate coming soon to Amazon
Posted by Huw,
It's been known for a while that 77904 Nebulon-B Frigate is going to be available at Amazon.com at some point, although details have been, and still are, a bit sketchy.
However, an 'advert' has recently appeared on the LEGO shop landing page at Amazon which confirms that it's coming soon, so perhaps its release is imminent.
It's bound to be popular, so we'll try to let you know as soon as it becomes available to order. In the meantime, bookmark this link which should take you to the product page once it does.
Thanks to Joel for the news.

Thought I missed on this. Really hope I can get one this time around
I have seen posts that the set was found in some Discovery Center Stores (none near me) so I would think the release on Amazon should be coming very soon.
Why can’t we have it in the uk..... cmon Lego?!?!
Excellent!!!!!
After 77905 failed to materialize as being sold direct by Lego, I went and just bought this off eBay, so of course Amazon will suddenly have more stock of it. -___-
Thanks for the información.
Soon...anticipation...
I know the instructions are already out there; has anyone seen a Bricklink wanted list file for this?

I put a list together in Bricklink but it's rather expensive and one element is new and very hard to come by. 44861 only comes in 3 sets and stock is very low on BL, though I suppose you could sub it for 92280. Obviously what's available and affordable will vary by region.
Will this be available to Canada?

Could you please share this list with me somehow?!

Bricklink won't let me make the list sharable...says 'feature coming soon.'

If you go into the wanted list there's a DOWNLOAD button that will save out an XML file. Could you please email that to me ben @redstar3D.com - many thanks!
Not holding out much hope at being able to get this. I fear that bots and scalpers will be all over it as an Amazon exclusive.
Title is a bit misleading if it's just on Amazon.com instead of the rest also.
I realise that US readers are a huge traffic on this site, so it's a bit of a nitpick.
But there are still some big differences between each localized Amazon sites.
Lego is a Danish company but favors USA... very logical...
What did Australia do to you LEGO? We have the best version of LEGO Masters (according to IMDB)!

I have noticed that many US citizens (Not all) consider the US and the world as synonyms.

I think the USA has the highest sales from one country so they get the Lego Love!
Don't mark it as "Shopping (USA/Canada)" when it's not available in Canada. The support my country gets on this site is pitiful
Wish it would be a full scale instead of mini scale.
So does anyone know when items go live on Amazon? Is it at midnight in a particular time zone, or is it just random?

Last time I checked it is China, not the US.

The stat I found was 2019 and combining regions...the America's had about 1.5 Billion usd in sales, Europe/Middle East/Africa had about 1.9 Billion usd in sales, and Asia/Pacific had about 740 million usd in sales.
Still looking for country to country breakdown.

Chicken and Egg situation.
If TLG offered stuff that was more enticing/relevant to people in Europe / China / Australia, those regions' sales figures would crush those in the US. Actually that used to be the case until the introduction of Star Wars, when the big shift towards the US occurred. Nowadays most of the LEGO consumer catalog is geared towards American tastes, subject matters etc. Stuff people over here can't relate to as much as to what we are used to here. The only reason stuff like Friends, Super Heros and the like sells over here at all is that people know that source material from movies and TV shows of US origin, where the environment shown matches what LEGO puts out.
Imagine for a moment a LEGO catalog where City or Friends builds were modeled on Chinese architecture, like in sets from Xingbao, Qman etc. And characters would behave like those from Chinese TV shows and movies. And imagine that most of the catalog would be that way. Do you really think that the biggest sales region wouldn't be China/Asia then?

This is a silly argument, but the U.S. must have a better market or they would try to create more models based on other countries/regions.

Bricks and Pieces is usually a better option for new parts than Bricklink, in my experience

No market is "better" than another. What an arrogant assumption.
It might be larger by sales figures, but like I said that is only because what is offered is geared mainly towards US tastes. China and indeed Asia is a much larger market with far more potential. And you can already start to see TLG testing these waters by putting out more Asian themed sets like the Chinese New Year line or this year's Monkie Kid theme. Plus there's still Ninjago going strong.
I work as a business analyst and controller so I have a natural passion for numbers. I would love to see TLG's detailed sales figures by year, theme and region to see what sells best where and since when or for how long. I bet you that would be an eye-opener.

Started it off by saying it was a silly argument, I wasn’t trying to attack anyone. I used “better” market, but probably should have used the word “bigger” market. There are reports out there regarding the toy industry. All of Europe combined consumes approximately 15.8 billion euros in toys compared to 13.9 billion euros in the U.S. and a measly 4.8 Billion by China. The U.S. is a “bigger” toy market than china. Europe is “bigger” if you combined all 20+ countries. So I’ll stand by my original statement, but use the word “bigger” rather than “better” when speaking about the toy market.
Lego meet Kickstarter. Problem solved.
