Images of a number of 30xxx polybags due for release next year have been published by Promobricks. I was not sure about publishing them here because their legitimacy has not been established and requests for information about their provenance have not been answered, but as many other sites have published them now, we might as well do so too.

In addition, LEGO's legal certification database has provided names and small images of a number of 40xxx sets that will be available at LEGO.com and in brand stores.

There is some very interesting stuff on its way, so take a look in the database here and here, then let us know what catches your eye in the comments.

Thanks to whung for reminding me about the certification database: I remember now that it was useful this time last year, too.

No Architecture yet? I'm starting to get antsy...

By in Germany,

Some nice little sets!

man, still waiting on ninjago city gardens

Gravatar
By in United States,

Really excited to see the Tuk Tuk and Chinatown accessories sets - I definitely like seeing generally-accessible sets that explore places beyond the "western" world.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow, a technic polybag. It must be 20 years since the last one. It looks neat too.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I think there might be an error on 'Jei Ski' ??

I'm liking the Xtras

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Pretty sure 11948 is a flesh-eating plant and not a "snake head".

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I was just commenting to myself how terrible the taxis have been in the City sets. 40468 doesn't seem to fix everything, but at least it's 6 wide...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Here's wishing 40468 Yellow Taxi is a gift with purchase for a Creator Expert-style Taxi, but I don't see them doing larger-scale yellow cars in back-to-back years following 10271 Fiat 500.

I'm interested to see what other BrickHeadz Pets come to pass. Probably a bird, maybe a fish and a lizard.

40462 Valentine's Bear will disappoint people hoping for a vignette but perhaps it will please/appease the anti-BrickHeadz crowd. I assume it's a Mel Caddick design--she's a wizard at sets of these sizes.

40460 Roses and 40461 Tulips are good entry-level sets for people not wanting to splash the cash on the larger 10280 Flower Bouquet

I thought it had just been sick too! But I guess that round piece is meant to be a frisbee?

I guess so. In my opinion it would've looked more like a frisbee if it was tiled. It would only involve adding 5 more pieces to the set, which would've no doubt been possible.

By in United Kingdom,

Finally a look at the vintage car. GWP with Police Station?

I’m a fan of the Lego stand polybag, but knowing my luck will be difficult to get here and won’t be stocked at our Lego stores. Hoping that isn’t the case though.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm going to need an entire line of Lego dogs. Needs a little tweaking perhaps, but would be very cute!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Didn't someone design this 40448 'Vintage Car' as a twin seater, with minifigs seated next to each other?!?
I was so looking forward to such a car, similar to the pink car that is included with 10260 and all the new Speed Champions sets.
Anyway, regardless, though it doesn't look that way (two minifigs seated behind each other?!) it is fun to get an Ideas set that is probably small and not so expensive, and most important: looks nice.

Agreed, although "Chinatown" is a Western-centric way to name it. I wonder if it'll be sold in Asian markets and what it'll be called?

By in United States,

That blue milk-mustache Luke Skywalker is the only polybag that matters, hands down.

I hope PC gets a “physical” release (basically a download code in a box) so I can get that pure awesomeness.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Oh my god that German Shepard is such a GOOD BOY!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Luke Skywalker with the carton of blue milk is hysterical! I’d get it if it weren’t fleshy.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Love the vintage car.
I was wondering when the contest winner would show up.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Vintage car looks niiiice.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Does it look like the Creator 'Tuk tuk' will hold minifigure driver and passenger(s)? Thinking of adding it to my Ninjago city, but I don't want the scale to look weird.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

More awesome SW sets!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

There's a tuk-tuk! THAT is awesome.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

You just get your Wanted list down to a reasonable number in November, and then next year's sets pop up, and the Wanted list explodes out again. Mine went from 15 to 50 in two days.

Some really great polybags coming, next year. I love the Technic one, but most of the City ones are typically brilliant.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love those flower sets!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I like the flowers and the Tuk Tuk, with the GWP car.

You’re 100% correct! Good question...!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The flowers are great, but I'm going to need to get my hands on the shuttle no question.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

Oh, man! That 40448 Vintage Car is AWESOME! But how come it is branded `'Ideas'? Did it go through ¨& pass the vetting process?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I just marked 30388 as “I own”, because I just bought a copy at Meijer. I wasn’t sure if it was new or a repeat, but the copyright was 2021, and I noticed the curved under slopes below the cockpit.

@Padmewan:
In China? Just “Town”. In the rest of SE Asia? Probably something that takes a snide crack at their “nine-dash line”.

@jsosse:
It’s not a normal Ideas set. The ran a contest to submit a model that would be produced as a GWP, and this car won. In a previous contest, the winning entry was 40335.

They also could use the base that came with the Frozone Disney minifigure.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@brick_mason:
It's less fancy, but they could also use a 4x4 radar dish.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Yup, that dog has clearly Wallaced* on the carpet.
If it was meant to be a frisbee, you'd use a radar dish, wouldn't you?

*'Wallace & Gromit' = 'v....'

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

If I get 40448 Vintage Car as a GWP I might actually buy a modular from Lego themselves...

Gravatar
By in United States,

There is a tuk tuk. I want want.. The neat creator flower sets are nice too. Cannot tell if those are specifically designed stems in the photos or if they are just technic pieces.

On China is Lego City called "Danishcity?"

By in United States,

30564 - Build-your-own-monster looks like a Mixel. I love it! My favorite series of all time.

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

I can't believe 30569 is a thing. It needs to be a thing in real life. OK, maybe not now, but yeah. Definitely needs to be a real thing.

There's something else I need to get off my chest but I have nowhere else on this site to: y'all need to keep an eye out for LEGO Classic 11016 Creative Building Bricks, a 1200-piece set which seems to consist mostly of basic bricks, plates and slopes, and have less color variety and therefore more bricks in each color, compared to previous Classic sets.

(cc @PurpleDave)

Well there's also a Chinatown in Singapore, a country that predominantly comprises people of Chinese immigrant descent, myself included... but Singapore's Chinese name for it is, literally, "ox-cart water", pertaining to its history of freshwater being delivered by ox-drawn cart.

I can tell you that this new xtra pack will be extremely popular for the tea set, the red lantern and to a lesser extent the firecracker builds.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Top of my list is 40448 Vintage Car, I've been keeping an eye out for that to show up ever since the winner was announced.

Close behind are the Xtra polys, and pleasantly surprised to see the creator taxi

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I just hope that they all become available in Australia without having to spend $200 to get a polybag! Love all the animal ones, will be in for two of each as I've got my sister into building polybags and brickheadz or any seasonal sets that are animals, she's a Veterinary Nurse and has a nice little growing animal zoo on her desk at home now, she will have to make a lot more room for it this next year though!!

Thanks Huw for posting these, it's nice to know what's out there so we can keep an eye out for them as sets like these can show up in all different non Lego places in Australia, like the Chinese New Year animal has been a GWP from a major retail chain here for the last few years. Looking forward to all these sets!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I just built 30388. The body is much better than the last version, but the cockpit looks goofy with the curved chin. Also, the wings have no stops to restrict their flight angle, so they can actually close to an acute angle below the hull, while standing nearly vertical when retracted. This feels like a model that was designed to be parked, but the wings look too large compared to a previous version when it is.

Chinatowns exist throughout all of Asia with an exception for China. But given that China didn’t have Lego in the 80’s, perhaps this is a way to introduce the Town theme to China. So the real news here is not a whole bunch of new sets, but if the 80’s are returning to China that could only mean a return of Classic Space, and airfare to China is definitely cheaper than Bricklink prices (although Chinese Lego prices aren’t).

Gravatar
By in Finland,

The technic helicopter polybag is neat, and the vintage car and tuk-tuk both look great. The McLaren Elva is also great, but I seem to remember hearing rumours the theme would be discontinued next year. Is this a clue that it will keep going? I'd love for it to stay!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

The vintage car and the tuk-tuk are superb and are must haves, All the polybags are a must get for me as well as the year of the ox.

If the two flower sets are released before Valentine’s Day I’ll get them for my wife, she doesn’t like cut flowers as they die soon after they are given, so she will like that I’ve thought outside the box.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Lime green pins on that small technic helicopter, there you go Lamborghini Fans ;)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The dog in the main image seriously looks like it's thrown up.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hoping that the Imperial Shuttle Polybag is a hint that the May UCS set is an Imperial Shuttle remake... Unlikely given they're releasing a playset version though...

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I'm surprised to see no one mentioning the Speed Champions polybag (unless I missed something), because that's the only set for that theme we know will be released in 2021. I personally really like that it's 5 studs wide, and I think they did a pretty good job capturing all the curves of the irl car. It also looks like it'd fit in really nicely with tiny turbos. And so does that Creatur muscle car! I've wondered in the past what tiny turbos could look like with all the new curved pieces available, and this is the answer! It has a lot of similarities with official TT muscle car sets, but it also incorporates a lot of newer elements to make for a really awesome shape. I really hope they'll continue making small TT-scale cars that look just as good as this one!

Gravatar
By in United States,

That German Shepherd is one of the ugliest lego sets I've ever seen.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I've seen leaks of a few of these before, but regardless:

Another Minecraft polybag, but this time with a Wither Skeleton! YAAASS!

That's a cute little jungle jeep for Lloyd

Build your Own Snail is adorable, and Build your Own Monster reminds me of Mixels. Can we get a Mixels style Creator polly ever year? That'd be grand!

The LEGO store cart is adorable

That mini Titan mech and its alt are grand

Pet based Brickheadz? Dawwww

Surfboard as car details is clever

Always in the mood for more Xtra. Both of those would go great with the recent Chinese New Year line

That's a nice Tuk Tuk. I'm usually not into those larger than minifig scale vehicles but it's variety of colors and decor are really nice.

Those are 87082, which already comes in Lime in the Lambo set.

Perhaps it has morning sickness, since it also looks pregnant.

Eh, I figured out how to make Pennywise with 100% stock parts. I sent a picture of it to a friend from college and I got a response back that was an 18-letter f-bomb. It was apparently the first thing he saw after waking up the next morning...

Now, there is a guy in my LUG whose daughter is straight up terrified of clowns. I expect she'll end up being shown this at some point.
