More BrickHeadz pets revealed

Posted by ,

LEGO has just lifted the lid (and opened the cage) on two new additions to the Brickheadz pets range.

40442 Goldfish and 40443 Budgie will be released on March 1st. The images we've been provided with, particularly those of the birds, do not really do the models justice. As you will see in my review tomorrow, they are really rather cute.

40442 Goldfish

Kids who love animals will adore this BrickHeadz Goldfish (40442) build-and-display set. The goldfish and fry both sit on iconic BrickHeadz stands and look as if they’re ready to blow bubbles underwater. The stands fit into a sturdy, blue base that includes coral and plants and comes with 2 stickers – 1 with bubbles, 1 with corals – for decorating the base. This buildable pet set is a perfect gift for all kids, BrickHeadz collectors and pet lovers.

  • Collectible construction set featuring fun LEGO BrickHeadz models of a goldfish and fry together in a water environment.
  • Makes a great gift for LEGO fans, BrickHeadz collectors and pet lovers aged 8 and up.
  • Standing over 3.5 in. (10 cm) high, this 186-piece model features coral and plants, plus 2 stickers – 1 with bubbles, 1 with corals – for decorating the base.

40443 Budgie

Bird fans will flock to this BrickHeadz Budgie (40443) build-and-display set. The budgie (also known as a parakeet) and chick both sit on iconic BrickHeadz stands designed to look like wooden bird perches. The stands fit into a sturdy brown base that resembles the bottom of a birdcage and comes with 2 stickers – 1 with feathers, 1 with footprints – for decorating the base. This buildable pet set is a perfect gift for all kids, BrickHeadz collectors and anyone who loves birds.

Hmm, the cold, dead eyes of Brickheadz almost suit these animals.

Just need to add some white stripes to the fish for a famous father & son combo!

By in United States,

The goldfish look like they’re whistling

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Those fish are really cute but I'm assuming it'll be the same price as the others even though they have no bodies..

By in Netherlands,

These look nice, and I will have to add them to the other pets here. I like it how they tweak the Brickheadz formula every time to come up with something interesting again.

SO CUTE :D

By in Ethiopia,

Will the budgies be going cheep?!?

By in United States,

These are really neat!

By in United Kingdom,

I don't normally collect BrickHeadz but I might make an exception for those fish.

By in Sweden,

Definitely gonna purchase them all sooner or later. Sad to see the massive decrease of Brickheadz releases since its introduction year but I do think they released too much back then as well. Somewhere in between this year/2020 and back then would’ve been sensible. Glad to see they’re at least keeping it alive.

The goldfish are really cute, and definitely need some sort of cranked or motorised stand to make them wiggle.

The budgies have a bit of a 'Feathers McGraw' dead-eyed stare to them (when looked at head-on) but are cute nonetheless. I think both are still better than the dog or cat.

By in Singapore,

The addition of these goldfish have only reinforced my decision to build an octopus BrickHeadz figure! I'll have to avoid building more aquatic animals lest I make an entire BrickHeadz aquarium, but the set looks like a great source of trans-clear 2x2 bricks, trans-orange 1x1 round tiles, dark azure plates and tiles, and orange elements.

I really like these. Especially the birds. At this rate by the end of the year I might have a whole zoo.

By in Belgium,

My goodness, will this nonsense never end?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The products are fine, but what I'm really sold on are the 'iconic' BrickHeadz stands!

Gravatar
By in Spain,

These sets should have just one pet and be cheaper.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I’m really not a fan of brickheadz, even if they are animals, which I love. But I do like the goldfish.

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

Man, everything is creepy to you guys these days huh

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

PINK CORAL!!!!!! Sorry but I am working on an underwater diorama.

Gravatar
By in United States,

For the goldfish you could replace the orange bricks with red, white, yellow, and pink ones to make a brickheadz Cheep Cheep from Mario

If you wait long enough for them to be on clearance, sure :)

By in United States,

So I wonder if the Budgies will be localized for different nations, at least in the US the name Parakeet is the default name although plenty of bird owners recognize that Budgie is another name for them at least. But Parakeet is still the name they are known for in the majority of the population.

This might be the only sort of budgie my wife will let me have.

About the price of a real one in the Netherlands.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Those Parakeets are adorable! I wish they came in blue though.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

The BrickHeadz treatment kind of suits the fish.
As for the others, Meh imho.

And hey, I learned a new word today that had never heard of before in my entire life: Parakeet.
Thanks for the enlightening.

By in Russian Federation,

Goldfish is a PIGfish.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't really care for BrickHeadz... but those goldfish are actually cute.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Still no pet BrickHeadz for us reptile fans. I'm sad now.

I only learned the word “budgie” a few years ago, from a Kiwi.

By in United States,

I still need to get the german shepherds

Gravatar
By in United States,

Finally, a goldfish that won't die!

Gravatar
By in United States,

They’re cute, I dig em and I’ll buy em, but I gotta say that I really really really miss the licensed Brickheadz. I SO thought that we’d be seeing additions to some of my favorite themes as we went along.

I...was mistaken.

By in Australia,

I'm confused by the birds, in Australia a Budgerigar or Parakeet are different colours and I've never seen one that looks like these, especially baby ones which my sister breeds. These look a bit more like Fig Parrots but perhaps it's a breeding variant someone had or has a pet in Europe? We call them by both names in our house at least, usually using Budgie for the domesticated version and Parakeet for the wild, of which we have a large flock in our area (south east Australia and mum feeds the wild birds - soooo many birds!). I'll get them because I'm a collector and have given into the completest model on Brickheadz at least (I dare not get into CMFs!) but they do look very weird colour wise. Though they could be the infamous Budgie Smugglers lol

Hopefully they will show up on our shop at home site soon, this slow roll out I understand for production volume issues they must be having in regarding Covid but they could at least get their website up to date, so much coming soon stuff here isn't even listed in New section, you have to look in each theme or section or it shows up the day or two before release, sigh......

By in United States,

The fish are okay

Gravatar
By in Australia,

These look better than the others. I might pick up the budgie.

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

Now, bring us the WHALE!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Found it ironic that the cat's stickers are showing fish lol

Gravatar
By in United States,

Honestly really like the Goldfish, probably be the only one of the series I'll try and pick up.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

2 more to add to my basket in march then and next they could do rabbits and hamsters

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’d be more interested in the goldfish if they were a pair of Black Moors, or as we referred to them in my college dorm, “eyeball fish”.

@Trotsky18:
Depends how hard you kick them...

@Metalizer7734:
Relax, they don’t appear capable of holding baseball bats.

@CarolinaOnMyMind:
I learned it nearly 30 years ago from a seriously disturbed individual. I have zero interest in owning that set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Darla, from Finding Nemo would be overjoyed. A fish she can't harm. Interested.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They should make BrickHeadz ice age animals one day.

Everything's iconic nowadays in the eyes of marketeers ;-)

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are definitely an improvement over the so-called German Shepherds, which look much more like Pugs to me....

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I love those fish.
