Two summer Creator sets revealed
Posted by Huw,
Dutch store ottosimon.nl has published images of more June releases including two Creator sets: 31117 Space Shuttle Adventure and 31119 Ferris Wheel, which are priced at €50 and €90 respectively.
There are also Minecraft, Dots and more Mickey and Friends sets there which I have now added to the database.

Set 31119 seems like a really fun set. I'm not sure about the face of the sun though. A great alternative to those who missed Set 10247 nonetheless. The space shuttle (31117) is also quite nice but it's definitely the less interesting set of the two for me.
Very respectable space shuttle. And I like the ferris wheel too. Do we know if these are 3-in-1 sets?
Where’s this years architecture sets?!
Those little brick built animal balloons look fantastic :)
Oh my God, the new DOTS sets. 41932 Extra DOTS - Series 5, 41935 Lots of DOTS (1000+!), 41938 Creative Designer Box... and a new large Classic set, 11015 Around the World. Hopefully it'll be widely available unlike 11016 Creative Building Bricks. 41682 Heartlake City School looks good, too. Nice, muted, grounded color scheme without looking drab.
I think the Ferris wheel looks great! I'm partial to the sun design, only because I like DOTS, and that design looks like something straight out of the theme. I'm glad they themed the ride.
The Ferris Wheel looks really cool, and although I might be spoiled by the Creator Expert Space shuttle I think this one is not very good and the older creator shuttle was better
Hopefully that space probe comes /in/ 31117...

These are both 3-in-1 sets. The alt builds of the Space Shuttle are a Saturn V and Lunar Lander. So the only one of the Creator Expert/18+ space set you cannot build is the ISS.
Oomph! The graphic design on the box will cover a lot of it up.
Must remember to be very precise when my wife asks what I want for Christmas and I answer with LEGO space shuttle! Nice to see the accent colours following on from the rover.
There is more to the shuttle. ;) I think it will be really popular.
Those both look awesome. And if the alternative builds are good, seems like multiple copies would be in order. Lego are finding far too many ways for me to part with my money.
Ferris Wheel looks refreshing and great to see again. The space shuttle doesn’t interest me, but looks a great substitute for those who can’t purchase the larger one that released this year.
Man, both of these are great. I might have to get the Ferris Wheel.
Definitely will buy this Ferris wheel. It would be a cool addition to my city
Nice... But where is the castle? (Lego store exclusive?)
Love the new pocket friendly (and more realistically sized) Ferris wheel. Need to get the ufo ride now to start my budget fairground
the ferris wheel is LITERALLY a scaled down version of the big creator one
See? yellow spokes, same color cars, ect
Nice sets. Too bad my summer budget can only make way for Creator castle.

Considering I am planning to make a small park island with caged dinos and some attractions I prefer the Feris wheel, I am also not a Castle fan so that's why I am not "very" interested in that rumor, but if I end up buying Blacksmith shop I am buying that castle.
Surprising to me that Lego keeps releasing space shuttles. Do today's kids even know what it is or was? Maybe Lego should just take over the real shuttle program from NASA!
I wonder how the face of the sun on 31119 would look if they positioned the eyes one more stud apart, the way they did on the heart in Creative Designer Box 41938?

Don’t forget speed champions...
Oooh, these look fantastic. Love the female astronaut on the space shuttle.
That Shuttle is amazing, it has a Saturn V and Lunar Lander Alternate build that still look great as well.
While obviously they won't be at the level scale/detail of the 10283 10266 92176 , it's very nice to see all 3 builds in a smaller cheaper set, which still works well with minifigs imo, certainly much cheaper alternative, even if you can only build 1 at a time.
Also the Blue/Red stripe that has been occuring on Space 3-in-1 vehicles (like 31107 + 31115) seems to be both a nod to 31052 and older 1995 Launch Command sets like 6339.

It's only been 10 years! My little nephews will happily recreate a Moon landing with LEGO, and that hasn't happened for nearly 50 years.
Additionally, LEGO Space Shuttles are awesome and there cannot be too many of them.
I admit that 31117 is not as good as previous Creator 31066 Space Shuttle Explorer, but I'm curious about the 2 other builds!
EDIT: I've just seen the box. Splendid!
Great shuttle at a good price point. A must buy for sure.
The Space Shuttle is always named Adventure...
31117 looks like a soviet Buran - especially with the built-in stripes corresponding to the tricolour of current Russian flag...
Both are nice sets though including their alternative builds. Hope the castle set is also revealed soon.
I’m just here for the new elephant, monkey and lion!!!!! Wow!
We now have the 1x5 plate but it seems a 1x5 tile would have been useful on the Ferris wheel. In the end, they just did what all of us do, they use a 1x4 tile and a 1x1 tile (increasing the piece count but also allowing for more choices of different builds). I like the set but the colour scheme is very bad imho - i might order the parts for it but with a significant change in colours.
That astronaut is the default playable character in the Lego Unity microgame! I wonder if any of the other characters came from planned sets as well.
31119 looks like the perfect scale for my city. I had the Creator Expert version, which was excellent of course, but was too big for me to keep and didn't fit the city very well.

Well, I wasn't born yet when we landed on the moon, and I've bought the Lunas Lander and the Saturn V asap... I guess if you love space, you love the history of space exploration too!
Wish they make a small version of the carousel.
There was a sequence of new Lego sets I just didn't like. Sets I thought were bad and/or overpriced. I thought I was just getting cynical.
Nope. I just didn't like the sets. Because I saw the Ferris Wheel and loved it and even the Shuttle is nice (love they are continuing with a white and red/blue accents for their Space Creator theme). Combine that with the City sets with animals and I realize I'm not burnt out on Lego, I just needs sets that spark my interest.

Yes, they are! Another site showed the boxes and the shuttle set can be rebuilt as a Saturn V-like rocket or a lunar lander. The ferris wheel has instructions for bumper cars or another ride I can't identify.
Well I only own two Creator Expert sets and it looks like Lego just dropped the Expert on both of them.
I wonder if this will be a new trend to turn large builds intended for adults into smaller sets for kids.
3 in 1 Ferris wheel
2nd model is Bumper cars
3rd Model is swingboats?
Interesting, nice to see they kept all 3 of the models linked to fair ground rides.
I absolutely love the ferris wheel, it does remind me of 4957, the first Lego set I owned!
Maybe I can convert this new set to Power Functions, like the one released in 2007...
