Bad Batch Shuttle: first official images
Posted by Huw,
StarWars.com has just revealed 75314 Bad Batch Shuttle and it's also been added to LEGO.com where it can be pre-ordered for $99.99/£89.99/€99.99.
The 969-piece set, which is released on 1st August, contains minifigures of Bad Batch clones Tech, Echo, Hunter, Wrecker and Crosshair, and a Gonk Droid.
Have you watched the first episode on Disney+? I thought it was quite entertaining, but Wrecker's voice is going to get very annoying very quickly...
There are couple of pictures after the break and more on the set details page.
Thanks to Quinnton for the news.

I'm a little ho hum on the shuttle itself, but kudos to LEGO for including all the figures in a single set.
This looks pretty great, but I would have loved to get Crosshair in his Clone Wars outfit.
Can you fit all five minifigs in simultaneously? If not, that's a pretty serious oversight.
Is the cockpit a sticker?
I love this so much! And I see why they waited a couple of days to reveal it. Crosshair should have had the rifle with the black candle piece on it like the one in the 501st battle pack. All of the figs look great, and the shuttle even though a tad small looks fantastic. I also love that they nailed the skin tones for all of the BB. Does anyone know if Crosshair has a unique head print? I haven’t seen any pics of him without the helmet.
I'm aware one figure is a spoiler for the premiere, but I'm still upset that they skipped the Tuesday reveals. If they'd released this even 10 hours earlier for pre-order, you could've gotten double VIP points and the Tatooine Homestead promo.
Kind of devious, whether intentional or not.

You can fit 4 at a time.
For the size of the set, the Shuttle looks fantastic, and to be able to put all four *hero* members of the Batch inside is good. I wish the rest of the parts budget had gone to the shuttle instead of the two speeders, but this is still really good. The face prints on the clones are great, and to get arm print on Echo is appreciated
The left side of that stabilizer is pretty awful looking. The undersides of the wings are what they are but there's no excuse for the ugliness of the stabilizer.
Hmm that speeder looks familiar...

Based on the images on Lego.com it appears as if the shuttle fits four figures. I’d argue that’s acceptable. (Spoilers!!!: As one of the Bad Batch characters sides with the Empire it’s unlikely you’d want all five minifigures in the shuttle at once)

All but one and knowing LEGO we might never have her on a set, this is just a welcomed $100 figure pack with giant speeders that either should have been made smaller or scrapped and used to complement the shuttle.
Why do we need an Imperial Crosshair? He may not be identical but you could get the point across with parts of a death trooper Minifigure. Would much prefer him in his original uniform.
I like that 5 of the main characters are in one set but I feel like the shuttle itself could have been better.
Edit: Honestly the stabilizer and cockpit just sort of detract from the rest for me. There's no reason for studs on one side of the stabilizer but not the other. The fact the cockpit relies on large sculpted plates with stickers is equally disappointing.
Goodbye 90 quid...
The figs make this a must have

Ah, that makes a lot more sense.
Now those are some great looking minifigs! The shuttle itself is ok. Glad that it has ample room for minifigures, at least.
Hopefully we get a few more Bad Batch sets, since we definitely need an Omega minifig.
Cool set but I don’t know if I’ll buy it. It looks good in blue but I don’t know if I like it enough to sacrifice shelf space for it. Love the mini figures though. Wonder when they will make and Omega figure
I appreciate the internal space. :)
Tech's helmet looks a bit too big imo and the shuttle's top fin could have been brick built rather than one sided plates but other than that I'm quite pleased with the content here.
Yet again no preorders for Australian customers. What does LEGO have against us??
Aw man, they used the same bad solution from 8096 (this ship needs a remake!) for the vertical stabilizer, instead of something like 75156 and 75094. Still might get it to join my SW shuttle colletcion.
Already pre-ordered. Glad to see LEGO is willing to make stuff based around the animated series' again. Still wish we had more Clone Wars sets, but I'll take what I can get.
The studs-on-one-side middle “fin” is a very odd choice.

DBL VIP Points yes. Homestead probably no as by August 1st they be loooooong gone.
Does anyone know when the other Star Wars summer sets will be revealed? I was hoping May 4th but now I have no clue.
Looking at that stabilizer and all of the comments, I think what LEGO needs to make is a plate with studs on BOTH sides. It would allow for a nice thin stabilizer with ability to add details to both sides. This would also really help with "looks good only from one side" sets such as the T-6 Jedi Shuttle and arguably Pre Visla's Mandalorian Fighter.
Also, since everything needs an acronym, we can call these special plates SOBS.

Most likely (and hopefully) Crosshair will remain imperial for the better part of the season. Then this not only makes sense to match that in this set, but once they release other versions of him in the future guess what happens to the rarity of this minifigure variant? :)

Yes, but that'll probably be focused on the version seen in Episode II. I'd just like more sets based around Clone Wars and other animated series.

Yes, and the body can house 2 more, though very snugly.
I’m a bit disappointed that Echo’s face isn’t white or whiter and that he doesn’t have a terminal interface arm. Echo is the real let down on the figures for me. I think I would have preferred the shuttle in grey too, rather than sand blue.
I have never found it so difficult to identify whether the cockpit uses stickers or not in official images, but here I seriously can't tell.
Have you seen the render on the box art? On the sloping down top fin, it appears that the edge is rounded as opposed to a sharp 'plate' edge. Obviously, when looking at the original model, this is not the case and the picture gives a false rendition of the real thing. Also, they could have at least used two reverse tiles 1x3 (instead of 2 1x3 plates) on the wrong side of the top fin - that would alleviated a bit the ugliness of that side. But the real solution would have been to do it like 75094 and it would not have used significantly more parts (the colour scheme might have been difficult though without 'much hated' stickers). I have not seen the recent show but I saw them in the CW series - now I will have to figure out who that Omega is.

it looks printed
stickers with Aurebesh translate to "HISTORY" and "SPACE BATTLES"
I love that you get the complete Bad Batch with the set. . . and like others have said, the Shuttle itself is growing on me . . .
My main complaint is that Echo has two hands, when clearly he only has one hand in the show. I think it would have made more sense that his right had be the mechanical claw piece like Benny had for the Lego Movie 2.
This is WAY overpriced, if you ask me!
these Minifigures are great. I love Tech's helmet and I love the printing on all the other ones.
I am glad they did not pull another Knights of Ren thing. the cockpit/passenger area opens like the 76130 stark jet.
and I just wish they did something like they did for "The Island" Ninjago Minifigures for Hunter with the hairpiece.

I think we'll watch Echo getting a prosthetic arm in the show
When are they going to bite the bullet and add pinholes to the Phase II helmet?! Crosshair just looks like a standard Elite Squad trooper with A BARC-style helmet....
I also get they didn’t want Echo’s Kama to be crushed when he sat, but at least add it as a option... also, I feel like maybe the Imperial pilot helmet from Vader’s castle would have been a better mold.
Wow this set looks good considering the stuff that went down with the sand green colour. It’s definitely more accurate to the show I love the box art but I don’t think that they got echo’s bad Bach armour right
Overall this makes for a great addition to the Clone Wars era of sets. The August 1st release date in NA provides Lego with plenty of time to produce these in high quality and avoid any...uh...Bad Batch.
the minifigures have some gross errors, echo does not have a hand, crosshair does not have the rangefinder on the helmet, the helmets are approximate, shame about the inaccuracy
So they didn't reveal this earlier due to some "spoiler".
Which was what exactly?
I often wonder what all the fuss is about. I mean, seriously, who cares?
Even among other first world problems, this is totally ridiculous.

Bad Batch is a 16 episode animated series in a similar vane as the Clone Wars. CW, and Rebels were also better than the movies. There is a Beskar Forge set scheduled for Fall, that is supposed to have Mando, the Armorer, and Paz Vizsla, so that should satisfy your desire for Mando sets. And, oh yeah. Multiple Characters from The Mandalorian are from the animated series that Bad Batch is a continuation of.

Maybe the images the set designers were working from showed him with two hands? Dsney tend to be rather stingy with details about upcoming films or shows to prevent spoilers
SPOILER WARNING:
Other toy leaks indicate Echo may be replacing his “Astomech” socket arm with a more traditional cybernetic arm in a future episode; if so, LEGO is trying to “future proof” his figure and avoid the entire “non-Beskar Mando” situation from the past year. Wrecker looks superb, Hunter is okay... but honestly with the exception of Wrecker, some Chinese knock off figs I have look better... especially if Tech’s visor can’t go down.

There are several Mandalorian sets due out in a couple months, so you don't need to worry about that.
Thoughts on the shuttle: I think it looks pretty great! I'm not entirely sold on the piece they used for the cockpit and the anti-studs on the main fin, but the rest of the shuttle and the minifigures are fantastic.
@Mister_Jonny said:

from the pictures on lego.com, it looks like you can fit four
Well you got be happy that they included all 5 characters introduced in the final season of the Clone Wars, however, the omission of Omega is a shame. Of course they can release her in another set, but she will never have a place to sit inside this ship. I realize that this probably isn’t Legos fault, I doubt that they would have known about her at the time they were designing the set, but it’s still a shame.
At the same time, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the only Bad Batch set we get, unless of course the show goes on for multiple seasons. I’m just glad that it is of their ship as it took Lego way too long to release the Razor Crest. A little strange however that they didn’t release it for May the 4th to tie in with the debut, instead we’ll be getting this set long after the season has ended. Oh well, at least now I’ll have something to order for the next May the 4th so I can get the GWP.
So...no Lula?
What's Wrecker going to do without his tooka?
I've wanted Clone Force 99 since their episodes from Clone Wars S07.
The set turned out pretty good and it's a must have for me. Maybe I would have spent the parts needed for the speeders to make the ship bigger and more detailed, but this way the set has more play value.
I guess LEGO did not get the full background info from Disney (as usual) because sets always leak too soon, or else they would have included O instead of a GONK droid. It's bad enough Crosshair's bio was spoiled by Hasbro's Black Series, but the early images from the LEGO set revealed the same. So no wonder Disney was so pissed about the mistake.
The armor printing is positively delightful. Shuttle seems a bit small though and I'm not completely sold on the color.
Great that all the team comes in 1 set,and that minifigs have both helmets and hair pieces.
@Mister_Jonny said:
"Can you fit all five minifigs in simultaneously? If not, that's a pretty serious oversight."
Nope, just the four members of the Bad Batch... Crosshair is no longer a member of the Bad Batch.
Would be awesome... if it was priced fairly. Say,£50-60. Otherwise, nah!
To point out the obvious... Mandalorian hasn't been stopped by Lego. The rumors point to us getting a Beskar Forge set later this year. However, we need to consider how jam packed Disney+'s lineup is with Star Wars shows, currently we have just had Mandalorian, Clone Wars Season 7 and Bad Batch; all of which have had at least one Lego set each. But we will soon have Lando, Rangers of the New Republic, Droid Story, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, Acolyte, Visions, etc. etc. etc... That of course is not to mention new movies like Rogue Squadron in the pipeline.
Basically I fully expect that Star Wars is about to get really busy with regular sets to try and capture all of these shows. While I would love to see more Mandalorian, I expect we will be seeing more Mando sets only when new seasons come out now, to make sure the time in-between is busy with all the other tv shows and movies also in production. So there is no reason to get angry at Lego or Disney or demand a boycott just because "this stupid company" hasn't given us a new Mandalorian set every ten seconds. Its clear that Lego is about to end up with a lot on their plate to try and keep up with this new era of Star Wars.
Personally, I don't tend to get sets based off Star Wars shows(I mainly focus on the movie sets), but this set piqued my curiosity. I am a fan of teams where each member has their own specialities and strengths. Although a question comes to mind: Knights of Ren or Bad Batch? Which is better, which would win(I know that the timelines don't line up), which team is more well-rounded as a whole, etc?
Bad Batch is more well rounded. I can’t say for the current crew because I don’t know what Omega is capable of, but the CW Bad Batch would probably win. Crosshair would drop at least two or three knights of ren before they even knew he was there. That was a good thought provoking question!

Well I can tell you the team with more character development, and spoiler alert it ain't the Knights... :P
Awesome! Looks awesome and it's incredible that all five minifigures are in the same set. I'm hoping there's adequate space inside... I would be surprised if there is but also disappointed if there isn't. Either way, nice set!
At last, Gonk droid gets a Lego set all to himself. (Don't hurt me, I'm joking)
Why, on the box, does it show Crosshair's visor blue while in the other pictures it is definitely green?
Also, that speeder is a recolored version of the one in 75280.

Yes me too
I’m hoping we see another bad batch set where cross hair comes in his clone outfit
Personally hoping for a new AT TE
Hmm...not really 'for me', but I do like the green speeder bike (or is that a swoop?)...thing that 'kills' that shuttle for me is: the printed windscreen. Seriously TLG; you could have used a price in trans-red, and printed over it leaving the 'view-ports'.
Side note: I hope this 'printed windscreen' thing doesn't become 'the norm' going forward, but after see it used in the Mickey Mouse Spaceship (which, and I kid you not; looks an awful lot like Superman's original lander...). I just don't know what TLG are thinking there...
A great set of minifigs, that I'm sure my kid will want. Pre-order, it is!
I personally think it’s a little small; only one speeder would be enough. But I like it overall. Figures are good as well, but I wish Wrecker had a similar body to Axl, and the absence of Omega interests me.
By the way, really enjoying the series at the moment. Can’t wait to see where it leads.
It’s not letting me pre-order for some reason?
@ronaldkamp said:

No, but the BARQ speeder and speeder bike have them. I think the speeder bike only has the one on the 2x2x2/3 bow, and the BARQ has them on the top and sides of the 1x6 brick w/ bow and the longer one on the nose.
My 13 yo daughter is a huge Clone Wars fan. We watched the Bad Batch together Tuesday and she was still talking about it last night. She loved it! I think I'll get it so she can have the minifigs (she loves collecting LEGO minifigs but could not care less for the sets...).
@ALEGOMan said:
"I honestly think that Lego have stopped Mandalorian because of the controversy with a certain actress from the film, which if true is dumb because they're just toys :("
I can almost guarantee that’s not the case. Star Wars and Mandalorian are too big and successful right now to stop it altogether. Plus, it’s easy to just not make sets with that particular character anymore, and frankly there probably isn’t much reason to anymore anyways.
@brick_r:
I'm pretty sure the printed cockpit is because stickers would be extremely hard to apply there, what with the curves and all. As for Mickey's rocket,it's a 4+ set, and those have never had stickers.
Please, please, please let it have a bunch of sand blue 1x1 plates (Part No. 3024)! The last (and only time) it was on a set to my knowledge was the original HP series. The cheapest that stupid piece now goes for on BL is about $4/each...insanity!
Not bad, but it misses Omega and proper cockpit windows. Finally a 2021 SW set I can look forward to.
Now we need a set with Omega, Phase 2 Rex, and ... how about Cut Lawquane for the next episode? Haha I guess that's just wishful thinking
So cool! Totally pre-ordering it!

Exactly, I noticed that too while watching the episode knowing from the leaks people were claiming this set should be gray. Its a subtle blue tint, but its a similar blue to the color we saw some of the TIE Fighter's in the original trilogy in that seems gray in many shots but when lit up just right shows the blue tint to it.
Tech's goggles/visor are green instead of yellow...

Lego did put in his terminal interface hand by making one hand light gray, but still if they can make the pirate hook hand piece than why not make something like that for echo but just with echo's arm?
@TheOtherMike
I didn't bring up anything about 'stickers'; because I know given the size and complication of the part, 'printing' was the best option. What I 'meant' was: TLG should have used the part in Trans-Red; and then printed over that, leaving the 'view ports' blank/unprinted. This would allow the Trans-Red is not only visible, but also useable/functional.
Or, think/imagine it this way: picture that 'printed red' gone, and replaced with with Trans-Red in its place . The part still has the 'Bley' coloring printed over it (as the piece/element is Trans-Red now), and black-lining for 'plating'. And, it can be done; TGL has done it w/other Star Wars sets: the Micro-Fighter First Order TIE Fighter has a Trans-Red front-screen with printing , as does Kylo's...
@Mister_Jonny said:

You can fit in 4
I will just say it looks bad.
Its a cool ship but Lego model dont do the justice, especialy with that fin.
Clearly set to sell (medicore) figs
One of the minifigs is armed with only a knife. I suppose this is the cook.
Star Wars sets with foldable wings are the worst.
Hang on - is that a 2L bar holding the control arms to the main body on the grey speeder, or is it a 3L? I can't see the ends of it protruding from those arms
Although Star Wars is one of my greatest passions in life (with Lego, obviously, which makes LSW the perfect combination), I must admit I have close to no interest for animated shows, but maybe that's also because most of those revolve around the Clone Wars, which don't interest me much. (That's probably linked to the fact that I was fairly disappointed with Attack of the Clones back then…) I'm glad that this set makes CW fans happy, though ;)

You decipher the spoiler by looking at Crosshair’s Imperial armour.
Point taken. You do need to be a big Star Wars nerd to spot the spoiler but the LEGO fandom is full of big Star Wars nerds and I’m sure plenty of people would have had the plot spoiled for them if LEGO had released the images any earlier than they did.
Also, I’m not sure it’s fair to say “no one who didn't want to be spoiled would have needed to take a look at the set”. When I look at set photos, I personally don’t expect to have plot lines spoiled. I wouldn’t have hesitated to look at the set photos if LEGO had released these images before the Bad Batch premiere.
When there is a new set about an upcoming show I would definitely take into account that there may be some kind of spoiler.
Funny to read your explanation of the actual spoiler, because I have no idea who or what "Crosshair" is even supposed to be, let alone what his armour might tell me about his background or backstory.

Actually it can sit 5. There's the pilot, two front seats and two rear 'seats'. They're more 2x2 indentations in the build but figures fit there just fine.
So far, this set seems perfect to me!

This. And now I understand the droid too and the lack of beds (I mean when they slept) and free space inside the ship.

That’s brilliant! I would have never thought of that.
Aside from Crosshair not being in his CF99 armor, the only real omissions are a computer interface to swap for Echo’s right hand and Echo’s ARC Trooper kama.
Otherwise, this is a cool set.

Was this available for preorder in Europe? I have only seen 'coming soon' since it went up on LEGO.com.

I really like Hunter. In CW he’s a bit of a jerk at times, because he’s the leader of what is basically the Seal team six of the grand army of the republic. And in Bad Batch he’s been a little less abrasive. I also love Echo, because he was one of my favorite characters before he joined the BB.

Yeah. That's what I wanted to wrote as well. This could be done better and LEGO have it done better in former times. For me this shuttle is very ugly in comparison to the TV series pictures of it.
Hi everyone, I'm in the UK and there doesn't seem to be the option to preorder this, has anyone in the UK been able to?
So it's a hundred bucks for five minifigs essentially. I can't believe how bad the shuttle is.
I know the Shuttle itself is not as detailed As it could be and at 969 "NICE" Pieces Some people argue that it's a bit much at $99.
I do not think that and I'm very pleased I won't have to get 2-3 Sets to collect The Bad Batch figures.
I mean look at The Knights Of Ren,
3 Sets To collect them all I personally think that was a bit much especially considering they were pretty premium sets as well.
None of them were cheap.
Anyway I apologise to anyone who wasted their time reading my worthless opinion I am just trying to express that I am pretty happy about this set,
And I'll likely get 2 Day one if I can these are gonna look great in a WickedBricks Display.
I really like this set and I think it is an excellent set so I want to purchase it but I think it may be a little overpriced at 100$. The speeder that isn't light green looks a lot like the speeder in 75280 501st Clone Troopers battle pack. Also, I don't think the green speeder really fits the set. I really like the minifigure selection and how Lego decided to include all of the Bad Batch troopers when they could have just put in a few of them. But hey, I'm not complaining.
@ALEGOMan:
Clone Wars consists of five seasons broadcast on cable, a sixth season that was released on home video, and a seventh season that is restricted to D-. Over the course of these seven seasons, several groups of clones were the focus of various episodes. Primarily, Anakin's 501st, and Ahsoka's 332nd probably got the most screen time just because they were tied to those characters. There was Domino Squad, which was first shown as rookies, then jumped back in time to when they were cadets, and ultimately shown in their last mission as a squad before the two surviving members joined the 501st. In the seventh season, a new group was introduced, called Clone Force 99 (aka the Bad Batch). These are all enhanced in some manner, and are a special elite group outside of the regular chain of command.
So, I'd heard of them randomly, but because it's been a while since I spun up the DVDs of S1-6, I didn't realize I'd never actually seen them before. Well, except one. Echo was one of the two members of Domino Squad who joined the 501st, and the only surviving member left at this point.
@Iguanaboy:
I'm pretty sure the fans would dogpile the Knights, giving the Bad Batch plenty of opportunity to dispatch them at their leisure.
@Farmer_John:
Wow! I thought I had it bad when I bought a batch of dark-purple 1x1 plates for $1 each. Two people have paid $27.71 for one sand-blue 1x1 plate, and one person bought four of them for $22.35 each ($89.40 total).
@CAC101:
For years after the minifig was introduced, there were no alternate hands. Pirates resulted in the hook hand, which for years was the only alternate hand. Since then there still haven't been a ton of new options. Davey Jones got a crab claw, Azog got a metal claw, a CMF baseball player got a baseball mitt, a CMF boxer got boxing gloves, and a CMF Aquaman got a harpoon hand. I was thinking there was a minifig with a circular saw blade for a hand, but I can't seem to find any evidence of that.
Anyways, new hands are a big deal. Of the seven alternate hands that have been produced, four came from the CMF line, and two were part of massive movie tie-ins. This is just a single set based on a limited-access streaming series, and doesn't quite carry the same weight. As it is, Echo might be the only one with a new helmet (Wrecker looks like he got the one-piece Ironman helmet).
The other option I've seen mentioned is to just exclude the hand, which is something they have never done in the history of the company.

Looks 3L. If you really zoom in (click on the photo, click on the "enlarge" icon, and then zoom in your browser window) you can clearly see the tips sticking out just a tiny bit.

The issue isn't that every fan will immediately notice. The issue is that _one_ fan will notice, and spread the information everywhere, resulting in articles being posted with the spoiler in the title, and before you know it you simply can't touch an internet-ready device without having the plot point spoiled for you.

That's the difference between those people and myself. I actually love to be spoiled, the reason being that I don't have subscribed to any streaming service. I do have Prime, but mainly for the free shipping option. All the other perks are just a nice add on for me.
Hence by the time I get to see new content (if at all) every bit of the storylines is old news. If there weren't any spoilers I would have to wait forever to find out what interesting stuff might happen.
Therefor I can't relate to people who get annoyed by spoilers. I simply don't get what might be annoying about that.
Take Star Trek Picard for example. I was really looking forward to that show, soaking up every bit of info and spoiler I could find beforehand. I went in to watching the episodes, knowing quite a few of the plot points already, but that actually enhanced my enjoyment of the episodes because I could concentrate more on the details and Easter eggs.
Plus, I don't like surprises in general. I even usually read the Wikipedia article about a movie before watching it in the cinema (or on Prime). And if the plot description does not entice me to watch the movie after all, I simply skip it and watch a different one that sounds more interesting. Too much on the menu anyway nowadays, so to speak, especially when it comes to Star Wars. Most of it sounds like quantity over quality to me. I have given up trying to keep up with all the different spin-offs long ago.
Different people different preferences I guess.
@AustinPowers:
The point is, Disney didn't want that happening. It inhibits subscriptions to their streaming service.
I love how this set looks, but it doesn't look worth $100. $40-$50? Sure. But $100 is way too much for a 960 piece set, even if it's Star Wars and really cool
I don't know how people are complaining about the price. Only $100 for 969 pieces is just over 10 cents a piece, which is way better than a lot of Star Wars sets. It also includes 5 minifigs with leg printing and a new helmet mold!

Are you... sure?
That shuttle...yikes. The face only a mother could love. What a mess!
I liked it a lot on first viewing - before I started watching the show on D+. 3 episodes in and I've seen no sight of any speeders. It's great that the 5 minifigures have been included, but I think it's a big miss to exclude the other key character from the Batch. Trying not to give up a spoiler here lol. I agree with the many comments about the dorsal fin - looks good from one side only, which is kind of OK if this is just to be a fixed display piece. I'd much prefer to have seen the effort go in to this feature at the expense of the speeders. I'll see if it grows on me before its August release.
I know they use the shuttle to get around but do they actually "live" in that shuttle? I mean they are away from Kamino most of the time. Always wished there was more "living space" in these lego builds. The only one that does it super well is Millenium Falcon.
@Yobuster :
You're not familiar with Navy quarters, are you? On most ships, officers get individual quarters, sized according to rank. Enlisted crew often "hot-bunk", which basically means the same bunk will be occupied by different sailors according to which shift they're on. When you go to bed, someone else will be just leaving, and when you wake up someone else will be ready to take your place.
Space is at a premium even on a large vessel. Making the ship larger just to give crew more space means it costs more money and resources to travel from Point A to Point B, and it also makes you a bigger target. You either need more powerful engines, or just more engines. In space, this is actually amplified, because you have to maintain life support for more volume with every additional room, and it takes more energy to break atmosphere than it does to plow through water.
Even on the ISS, NASA astronauts don't have individual quarters, and just strap themselves to a wall somewhere when it's time to sleep. If you want privacy, it's basically limited to toilets, showers, and being able to find a corner of the station that's not occupied. The Bad Batch is military, so they'd be more accustomed to making do than living in luxury. Even the Falcon would mostly consist of ship's functions, with tiny crew quarters, a larger communal area, and any remaining space devoted to cargo capacity.
