Tony Stark's Sakaarian Iron Man revealed!
Posted by TheBrickPal,
A new set based on the upcoming Disney+ animated series from Marvel Studios, What If...?, has been revealed via Amazon France!
The 369-piece 76194 Tony Stark's Sakaarian Iron Man features a scenario in which Tony Stark has ended up on Sakaar, rather than Thor or Hulk, and has constructed an Iron Man suit out of junk! The mech can also be converted into a race car. Other minifigures included are Uatu (The Watcher), the narrator of the series, and Sakaarian warrior Valkyrie.
We don't have a release date yet, but I'm guessing it will be available around August.
What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!

I like that this can change into a car, it's different.
Will be nice to see what other sets lego produce for the What If series
I like the transformer feature, but it seems to be done by taking the limbs off, which is kinda cheating to me (although I totally understand it's hard to make a transformer that meets Lego standards at this scale, let alone adding extra limitations)
I quite like The Watcher minifig, other than that I'm not interested.
It looks like they changed the socket mold?
This looks pretty silly. I want it!
I wonder what's up with the new mold for the large balljoint socket brick. I felt like the current one really got it right, I've never had one break (unlike the first iteration which broke all the damn time), and this new one's kinda just... really ugly? Much like the balljoint with the bowling pin holes in it that came around a few years ago.
This is very silly and I like that a lot
Love it! First day purchase.
Love that Marvel is putting out What If...? movies.
Loved those comics.

Someone should tell The Watcher that wearing a face mask across your chest doesn’t do anything to stop the spread of covid :~P
Love the Black Sabbath style shirt on Tony Stark.

No, I don't think so, you can add a technic pin into the socket.
Well its an Iron Man Mech, so that makes it an autobuy for me. The Sabbath shirt and Uata figures are just icing on that cake.
Looks like a Monkie Kid set.
I like the Watcher fig, and will probably keep an eye out for him on Bricklink.
But, honestly guys. Isn't this just yet another Hulkbuster? The first 400 were enough for me.
Cant see the 'Black Sabbath' link personally, can however see an awesome Exploriens/ Rock Raiders Easter Egg!
August release date makes sense as that’s when the series is rumored to be available on Disney+.
I now see a whole storyline in this. What if Tonay Stark ended up on Saakara. Could be a cool story. I like the Watcher, but it was cooler if he had a bigfig head :-)

It's a clever in universe reference to our world, where Black Sabbath made a song NOT about Tony Stark
"...has constructed an Iron Man suit out of junk!"
Well, he does have experience in that area. Wonder if he does it in a cave this time...
Monkey Kid gets a Marvel Mech 80028 and now Tony Stark gets Monkey Kid colours.
Not sure about this one, TBH.
Nice.
Those socket joints do look new though. Now there is a bar running through the middle of the sides. Wonder why they felt they need a re-design. Would these add more friction to the joint?
Really hope we don't get a 2008 ball socket redesign situation where they become MORE brittle than the previous version.
Lol, love that Valkyrie has her bottle. First the bottles in the Friends appartments and now this, look’s like LEGO’s finally loosening up on a couple of their brand rules.

It's a bottle of bracingly strong... water. So Valkyrie can stay totally... hydrated
I honestly thought I was bored of big Iron Man suits but this one is wacky and interesting enough to pull me back in. Great colours, great figs and the build looks snazzy too

Even as a SW buyer I agree that figure is fantastic.
I wonder if Tony's shirt can be read by the Vidiyo app
another mech with some rehashed mini figs... yawn

Only one of these figures has existed in any similar form before, and that was in one set four years ago.
super colors, might have to get this one!

Its neat though how its Lego-ified by making it a Rock Raiders helmet too.
I appreciate the Never Say Die shirt on Tony.

"i love that they made an Uatu fig, but his coloring doesnt seem correct to me"
It depends upon who is drawing and inking Uatu, who should really be a brick built figure à la Giant-Man from 76051 Super Hero Airport Battle, and not a minifig. I’m guessing this minifig represents the Uatu from the cartoon, and that’s cool - I’m getting The Watcher!!!
This is a full-on hit for me. Uatu is awesome, and I don't have a Valkyrie or Tony Stark (outside of armor) minifig yet. Love the colors and stickers/prints on the hulkbuster, which also looks like a great build!
Looks like a Monkie Kid set to me
When did Iron Man have blue?
This set is awesome! Much better than the World War II-era Iron Monger that was rumored. Minifigures look great and even though this is yet another Hulkbuster, it's a different enough build to keep me interested.

No you can't with the new ones, that was only possible with the old ones. And the ones in the pic seem to contain an extra line through the middle that doesn't resemble a pin at all
At first glance I thought it was a Monkie Kid set.

If I were to take a stab, that extra line might be a brace to further support the socket. Which is weird to me since everything post-CCBS doesn't seem to suffer socket breaks frequently like the 2008-2010 design did. I wonder why Lego decided it was a design change that was needed?
Here’s my speculation for the plot of this episode. When Mr Stark/Iron Man takes the nuke through the portal during the Battle of New York (The Avengers in 2012), he ends up on Sakaar, where he builds this suit and becomes a gladiator champion. I’m not sure what happens next, but it should be interesting. Ultron would never be created for one so Dr Banner/Hulk wouldn’t end up there. Perhaps he’s there for years until Thor ends up there?

It's pretty close to the Never Say Die album art.
Out of all the cool sets that could be made from a series like What If?, LEGO decided to make another mech.
