©2021 LEGO Group

Marvel.com has revealed the contents of 76196 The Avengers Advent Calendar, which will be one of five calenders available this year, joining the usual Star Wars, Harry Potter, City and Friends ones.

Among the 24 models are minifigs of Tony Stark, Spider-Man, Nick Fury, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Thanos and Thor.

You can view a photo showing them all after the break.

Thanks to milflinn for the news.

We will be extra busy during December this year publishing five Advent Countdown articles a day!

I’m surprised the snowman’s arms aren’t stud shooters. It even appears to include an extra stud as if they were

Incoming Giant-man dioramas w/ Ant-man minifigs.

By in Denmark,

Very impressive. Love it.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Heck of alot better selection of figs and builds then the other choices revealed so far. Though not sure about the window distribution we'll get as 2 of them at least are just 'bits packs'. (The energy blasts and the infinity stones).

By in Australia,

Woah that Black Widow has arm printing. Great looking calendar, might opt for this one over Star Wars this year.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Very interesting for them to include the gauntlet and all 6 infinity stones. Great for people who missed out on the Infinity War sets, or couldn't collect them all.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Dang, that’s a very solid selection of things! Exclusive sweater Tony and Spidey are awesome, and I love the inclusion of the newer Black Widow and Captain Marvel. The full infinity gauntlet is a very unexpected surprise, a bit strange though seeing as no one in the set can wield it. I love the addition of a power blast pack, those pieces are always so useful in making dioramas. And that’s an unprinted Iron Man helmet as well, very nice! I think this’ll be the very first Advent Calendar I’m ever gonna get.

Edit: I also love some of these sidebuilds, especially Dum-E with the sock and the Proof that Tony Stark has a heart case. Also the frying pan on Avengers Tower looks so out of place and ridiculous that it’s actually hilarious, my headcanon will be that it’s just a special Avengers-merch cooking set for minifigs haha

@kongutahu: I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be a snowball.
@monty_bricks: Or those who didn't get all of them, such as myself. I still need a Power Stone.
@The_Byzantine_Knight: I'm reminded of how, in the DC universe, Santa makes it through Apokolips' defenses to give Darkseid a lump of coal every year.

Loving the Christmas DUM-E and the mini Hulkbuster.

I must be missing some part of Spider-Man lore. What is he holding in his left hand?

Well, he *did* try to kill half of all life in the universe. If that doesn’t merit getting a lump of coal, nothing does!

Now, now. Going to get this for the full Infinity Stones complete with the gauntlet.

I think it's a Churo; he mentioned a lady gave him one as a thank you in Homecoming.

Thanks for the explanation ;~) . So he’s holding a paper or card cup and the axle represents the churro? That makes sense.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The presents are a bit whatever, and I wasn't impressed with the tree until it was pointed out to me that you can put the spare infinity stones on it. So almost all winners in my book, I'm hard pressed to think of a calendar with a better hit rate.

Year 2 should be interesting, this initial effort has certainly set a high standard. Harry potter started out with some strong ideas (and many flags, grr), but it's waned a bit in my opinion and I'm skipping the third HP calendar. This replaces that, but even if this marvel one didn't exist, I'd still be skipping HP this go around.

Clever use of that Technic piece to represent Churros. :)

Seek and ye shall find.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not a big fan of micro-builds, and some of the builds seem kind of random/could be in regular city. Of course super heroes don't have a lot of unique side items to choose from so I can understand the difficulty in designing this. If it were comic based they could have an atomic steed or the Thing's sky bike thing, but I don't know what else (I have only been working on ideas for 2 minutes though).

A DC calendar could include items from the Batcave's and Fortress of Solitude's trophy rooms.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Love this. I can finally get the time stone.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Whoa! I'm very surprised. I didn't expect a calendar for Marvel. What a shock. Heck, I didn't know about a CMF series of Marvel (Disney +) coming too. Big surprises. I like this calendar--very creative!

It's a churro.

@ResIpsaLoquitur, The answer has already been mentioned three times in this not-very-long thread. I could, of course, just tell you but I really believe that posters should read threads before posting in them or provide a good excuse why they haven’t.

I was a bit worried they’d missed out on a fire extinguisher in a Marvel set, but I’m glad to see it’s there.

Y'know, I tried and I still missed it. I'm sorry. Written language blurs together when you're reading on a phone.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm a little on the fence about this one; the good parts are VERY good, but some others I fail to see the significance of? Then again, I'm still an MCU newbie who's only seen six of the movies (and played the Lego Avengers video game), so maybe as I get further context more of it will make sense!

I've never got a Lego advent calendar before now... but since I am new to Marvel, that means I don't have any of these things already, so it'll be 100% new to me. I might, *miiiiight* see about getting it, just for a treat, nearer the time. We'll see ^^

Genuine question, though: what's the blue and red model with the binoculars, the one just up from the snowman and next to Thanos? I can work out or guess at everything else in the calendar, but that one's eluding me; I can't think what it's supposed to be.

By in United States,

I'm not huge on advent calendars or the holidays in general but this has some cool stuff in it. I can only imagine that they're dedicating an entire day of the calendar to the power burst pieces, though, which is kind of strange albeit understandable since they always come in the same bag. The inclusion of the Infinity Gauntlet with all six stones is really cool of LEGO and I'm glad I stopped by this article because I had no idea what Peter was holding. I thought it was a weird mug with something in it the first time I saw it if I'm gonna be honest. An inclusion of something related to the "Spidey Bells" song from Into the Spiderverse would've been cool but this seems to be an MCU-only calendar so it's understandable why that wasn't included. On that note, why are they using the Square Enix Captain Marvel if the rest of the Minifigures are MCU-based? The game kind of died plus I think people would prefer the Endgame or Captain Marvel versions in this.

Gravatar

I'm pretty sure almost all of these are Gamerverse Avengers. Black Widow definitely is, Fury is the same as the Helicarrier model, and Thor is almost the same except for the hair. Tony could go either way (though he has a Gamerverse helmet) and Spidey is specifically movie.

Something's got to be done about that Thanos, though. We need a compromise figure between BigFig and Minifig. Comic book Thanos has always been bulky, but not a giant.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looks like we have a winner for my Advent Calendar this year.

Who am I kidding? I’ll probably get them all anyway…but this one is REALLY good.

None of them ( except Fury) are the MCU versions.

I was hoping that was a Miles Morales Spider-Man since he *obviously* (wink) has a churro. But other posters’ grasp of MCU ephemera wins out.
Still, every friendly neighborhood crime fighter deserves a churro!!

If i had to hazard a guess, i’d say that’s a drone from Spider-Man: Far From Home, repainted in Spidey’s color scheme, based entirely on how similar it looks to the drones in the tie-in sets."

Oh, right! That's one of the MCU movies I've seen, so I should possibly have recognised that... though in my defence, it was a while ago now! Thanks for answering :D

Gravatar
By in United States,

This looks pretty solid. I'll have to pick it up (on sale since they are way overpriced otherwise).

I'm really thankful I didn't overpay on bricklink for the extra stones I needed. And now since the TVA showed outside of Earth they are useless, LEGO will just throw them around as free gifts.

I like the plain white Iron Man helmet for some reason.

Same. I'm more impressed with marvel than Star Wars this year.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Assuming the Australian price isn't obscene, I can see myself snagging this. Getting the Infinity Gauntlet and the stones alone would make it worth it but there are other cool things as well (like the Iron Man ugly xmas sweater)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I am more impressed with this set now. The leak only showed a couple of builds, and not all of the minifigures. This looks awesome!

Gravatar

Thanos gets coal, nice easter egg

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well, looks like there will be 2 calendars in the house this year (along with Star Wars). If nothing else than to get a full Infinity Gauntlet. Minifigs look tremendous.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The only stuff in this that I’d be interested in is the blue effects pack. I got a huge bag of orange ones through LUGBulk, though, so that seems a far more efficient way to build up a collection of all the colors.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Its very nice although it is frustrating that the infinity gauntlet and all the stones come with this set. Kinda feel that something like that shouldnt be in a set this small or cheap?
