An image of what is presumably another forthcoming Gift With Purchase has been found at LEGO's instructions portal. 40483 Luke Skywalker's lightsaber will most likely be a GWP with a Star Wars set later this month.

It's the second 'life-sized' lightsaber hilt model, following 6346098 Yoda's Lightsaber that was a GWP with 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina last year.

quick guess... with UCS AT-TE purchase...

UCS AT-AT maybe? Seems like an obvious theory..

Luke’s, but also Anakin’s and Rey’s? Good value that.

Where is the 3 in 1 branding?

I think it goes without saying at this point that some Star Wars products are meant to “double as” other products. At least the designers envision them that way.

By in Australia,

Cool, but does nothing for me!
And I love Star Wars, and lightsabers!
If it had a long, glowing blade (a la 75255 Yoda), THAT would look nice…..

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

A must have for me. But I hope it won't release exclusively with a 600+ euro UCS set. That would be a huge let down.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Now if they did Ahsoka’s, that would be interesting… What? A man can dream, right?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I like it

This is gona be another need to get release day to get the GWP lol, will it be a midnight wait up or morning chaos!

Probably because of an NDA

Surely they need to respect TLG's wishes when it comes to official announcements.
Especially since they work well together, and receive sets to review for us. I see no need to upset them.

By in United Kingdom,

No doubt with the UCS AT-AT, thus unobtainable for those of us on a budget. Again.

I thought Lego didn't do weapon replicas?

I read this as in Luke Landspeeder revealed.

NDA's don't stipulate that you have to use terms like "presumably" and "most likely". No need to pretend that they don't know, just say that instructions have turned up and that details will be made clear in the coming days."

At this stage we have no further information about this GWP so all we can do is speculate. We do have information about a set that will probably be associated with this GWP but it is still under embargo so we can't acknowledge or reveal it. Hence the vague language!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I feel like these sets suffer without some kind of blade to accompany them, though I'm guessing they'd be rather unstable at the necessary scale. In any case, it makes promotional items like this one an easy miss for me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

i'd "like" this, but i'm afraid it will have a ridiculous threshold, so nah

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I can understand @Huw for not wanting to violate embargo rules, but we commenters are not bound by any such contract.

It's no secret anymore, 75313 UCS AT-AT is about to be officially revealed any minute.
799.99 Euro/USD pricetag, complete interior, 9 minifigs (I am not going to spell them all out, just google if you're impatient), 6.785 pieces. At about 69cm long and 62cm high it's quite a monster to behold.

And no, I am NOT going to link to the Promobricks article where I got this information from ;-)

They know that we know, and they know the first few posts will speculate which set they will be GWP for. If you’re like me and you’re only piecing this together through Brickset then the relationship works perfectly.

By in United Kingdom,

I mean this is great but why oh why can't I just buy this please? Why can I buy Venom's head but not this?

Gravatar
By in United States,

But how will be we know it's Luke's lightsaber if his lost hand isn't still gripping it?

...and wouldn't it have been Anakin's lightsaber first, not Luke's?!

They probably found the information on another site and neglected to mention that other site. (Wouldn't be the first time.)

By in Norway,

This is a concept I am surprised Lego haven’t done before.
In the beginning of Lego Star Wars sets, some had Lightsaber as a suggested rebuild.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

(cough cough)
Ah, another lightsaber for my collection
(cough cough)

Gravatar
By in United States,

This will be annoying if it is only available when buying the $800 AT-AT collectors edition. What should be a $15-30 item, will cost $100+ on the secondary market.

Yawn! Modern warfare is out of bounds, not historical or fantasy/sci-fi

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

As a big SW fan always thought these would be a great idea. Turns out they’re really dull to look at - I’m not saying they’re not good facsimiles just the material is dull for display.

It's a beautiful replica of a graflex flash!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@MisterBrickster:
It’s a flash handle, not the flash itself. And it’s got scraps of British windshield wipers stuck to it. Must have been quite the spectacular car accident.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Last year's big Black Friday release had a dedicated gwp (Colosseum with Chariot), so it does seem likely this lightsaber gwp will be tied exclusively to the AT-AT. We will find out on November 15 when this month's gwps are announced.
