Marvel Advent Calendar - Day 23

Thor will presumably be our final minifigure in this Advent Calendar, completing an enjoyable selection! Two days therefore remain and I am curious to see what appears next.
Let's open the door and see...
Christmas trees appear in many Advent Calendars, although designers continue to develop new construction methods for them. This model certainly resembles others, but the colour scheme of dark green and green, while golden highlights, is distinctive. However, the tree seems somehow incomplete without accessories to connect to those pearl gold elements. Doubtless some further decorations will emerge tomorrow.
Overall - 4.0 - I am pleased with this Christmas tree, but the absence of decoration is noticeable, especially on the top.

Yeah, Day 24 will be disappointing - the box art spoils the surprise, but the ‘decorations’ should really have been in the same door as the tree.
We got a spare Iron-man (micro) the other day. Since he seems to be the theme of this calendar, he can be the star on the top of the tree for now.
Christmas trees are non-negotiable in Lego Advent calendars. I found this very fiddly to build, the pearl gold studs seemed to pop off very easily. I am glad there was a spare because one shot off the tree and I couldn't find it!
Yeah. The Marvel calendar has been pretty good about spoilers ... until today, because the front of the box gives us a very good picture of what's the final present on day 24. Like, we know we're going to get them all, since the fully-decorated Christmas tree features very prominently on the box art.
Still, it'll be good to have them.

A very Loki Christmas tree.
It's pretty good, but it needs another element up top. Maybe a green 1x1 cone or something. Looks too stumpy this way.
Tomorrow is the big snap!
I was expecting this tomorrow, as the last day is always something festive, and the only thing that's left (if you looked ahead) isn't very festive.

I added a layer of 1x1 green plates to the bottom layer to get the tree into a more comical shape. Really helps.
I fear decoration will be in the last day. It would be so disappointing!
I took some of the extra pieces from the set, used a 6227897 and a trans-light blue round flat 1x1 tile to create an arc reactor tree topping for this one.

Nah, that would've made Day 24 very unsatisfying—only one piece. I think day 23 and day 24 should've had what they have, but been switched. The current Day 24 "build" isn't much of a build, but it feels somewhat satisfying on its own, while the tree is incomplete. But if the tree were complete when you build it (which it would be if it came *after* the current Day 24 build), it'd be the most satisfying ending.

So you'd want these "decorations" first? You can't do anything with the decorations until you've built the tree. That would be like putting the power blast accessories from Day 2 on Day 1.
At least this didn't get THREE weapons racks like Star Wars. So far Day 2 has been the only disappointing day. If Day 24 is really only the [SPOILER AS SEEN ON THE COVER ART] then they're ending on a disappointment.

I'm convinced every 24th for all the calendars should always be some Santa-fied version of a popular character or Santa himself for the City version.

Do you know what's in day 24? You are getting something beyond the cover art, and it works well on its own, better than the tree.

This tree is pretty disappointing. Not a fan of it and the top is the worst part. I like the City calendar tree better than this one. (I kind of like the idea of adding the extra Iron Man trophy figurine on the top.)
I bet you're all going to love day 24!
