I didn't know that America Chavez was going to be in the new Doctor Strange film. That's quite the spoiler!

Hm, her casting choice has been known and publicly acknowledged for a really long time now. Perhaps even so long that most would’ve forgotten (like me) but the trailers and merchandise such as this would likely remind us of that memory pretty quickly.

So many new sets for 2022... and more are on the horizon, really looking forward the new Ninjago wave *hyped*

By in Netherlands,

I am not too familiar with the comics, but isn’t that T-shaped logo on Strange’s outfit something very similar to one in the comics? That would be pretty neat. As for the set, I hope it will be €20. The minifigures are a great bunch, looks like the full main cast plus Scarlet Witch you can easily get from the CMF (and which I already have). The build is… eh. Reminds me a little bit too much of that Portal monster in the inaccurate first Doctor Strange movie set, the Abelisk from Guardians vol. 2 and the Rancors from Force Awakens… I feel like the big freaky tentacles with mouth and/or eyes monster thing is a little overdone at this point. Plus, olive green is a color I won’t use frequently and all those tentacles aren’t very versatile either.

Edit: oh, I forgot Tren Krom from Bionicle and that monster in What If…?. Yeah, I really feel there’s way too many creatures like that.

By in Brazil,

I prefer acquiring Strange and his cape from NWH set, which is nicer, imo. Let's wait for a Wanda set.

Am I the only person who saw that monster build and thought ‘beholder’?

So many tentacles !
I have no interest in Marvel, but this set looks like a good starting point for creating a MOC of the Watcher in the water from Lord of the rings, the monster in front of the secret Moria entrance.

That monster looks mental! I'm already doing the sound effects... :D

As with the tentacle beastie from the last Doctor strange set, I suspect it's based on Shuma-Gorath, a long-standing Lovecraftian horror from Marvel comics

Wong's minifig continues to look nothing like the character...

"Well there is a Ms Marvel TV show, and people probably thought the casting was for that."
Marvel nerds correct me if I'm wrong, but Ms. Marvel and America Chavez are two different heroes, aren't they?

I think those are just supposed to be the "lapels" of his robes.

Short answer yes. (Long answer(s) in all the Wikis, Subreddits etc that people write about these things)

Gargantos is a marvel character in its own right. So while similar in look to Shuma-gorath it the same. Given the multiverse nature of the film Shuma-gorath has been a long term suspect but not according to this set. Perhaps this is a way to introduce Atlantis.

Fun looking set! Always nice to see something other than vehicles.

By in United Kingdom,

The film got pushed back to May next year so I wonder if this is a January 1st or a March 1st release?

Nice, I will be getting this.

By in United Kingdom,

They need to include some sort of bar attachment at the end of the tentacles to hold the mini-figs for display purposes.

The perfect accompaniment for the Panlos Sanctum Sanctorum (which is not licensed or authorized, sadly, but doing so invites retribution from The Mouse)

I used two copies of 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown (purchased at a decent discount) to make https://flic.kr/p/2iKpRYV. I tried to match the top image from https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Sanctum_Sanctorum."

Yo! Your MOC is awesome bro!"

Thanks for saying so!
