The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter revealed!
Posted by Huw,
A second Book of Boba Fett set, 75325 The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter, has been revealed by Amazon.co.uk.
Other than pictures, there are scant details about it, but we can see that it comes with Din Djarin and Peli Motto minifigures along with Grogu and a BD Droid.
No release date is provided, and the quoted price of £66.76 is probably not correct.
You can view more pictures after the break.
Note what looks to be a new slope piece on the back of the fuselage.

One step closer to a Stinger Mantis with Cal Kestis, BD, and Greez Dritus...
But this is cool too.
In fact, wizard.
Yay! But: many users of studio were faster =)
Anyway, this one's on the list. Because, of course!
I think it's great. Day one purchase for me because i'm a fan of these new Star Wars series.
Jeez, it's massive.
The rumored price of €70 is way too steep. €40-€50 is more appropriate
I don't like how long and wide it is. Looks like it should be smaller by 1/3 at least.
I still haven't seen a single Star Wars movie or TV series (though this may change soon), but that BD droid has me irrationally pumped having played Jedi: Fallen Order. If they release a buildable BD droid... I'm going to have to buy it and convert it to BD-1.
Wot no stud shooters?
Looks like a good ship & minifigure selection.
If I don't get a Stinger Mantis off the back of this I'm gonna flip.
I don't love the ship though. It's a bit blocky. It might be that nose piece....Maybe I'll like it more in review photos.
Can anyone identify the part on top at the back, immediately before the rods for the tail? It's sloped on both sides but it seems to be both angled upwards and connecting flat on the bottom, which I've never seen before.

As noted above the picture, it's a new part.
Is that a new bracket holding the engines on to the wingtips or have I just missed it before?
£60 UK, 1st May release (for independents anyway, maybe Lego exclusive for a time before that)
I like it.. but with still another 17 other Star Wars set reveals left for the year this one might have to wait.
Dang. That is a cool set. Love that Amy Sedaris has been given a minifig (longtime fan of her comedy and her brother's writing). That new droid fig is adorable!
That new slope piece is very strange. Curious to see how it'll be used in the future.
Anyway, this thing looks terrible and it is of course ludicrously expensive as well
This set is a must have.
How does this set NOT pave the way for a new N-1 Starfighter. Please Lego make my wish come true. All those new curves giving the sleek profile that we have seen on screen. It would be amazing to have a accurate N-1. Or even modify this set perhaps????
Weeks ago I said to my gf: you can bet that Lego will make this ship. Here it is. Pretty expensive, though, and still with this garbage Darksaber "build".
Is it just me or the Mandalorian's neck looks like it's a different color than black?
Could it be...... We finally get his face.......

There is a rumored buildable BD-1, à la 75187 and 75278.
I'll definitely be getting this, but can't help but think this could have been a much better set.
- still no face print for Din Djarin
- Peli Motto's hairpiece is just not it
- the Darksaber is a disaster (just use a black katana piece!)
- and the ship itself will need quite a bit of modding: the color markings don't match the screen version, the wings need tiling to channel that Naboo elegance, and the less we say about that disaster of a tail, the better...
Like, I get that it must have been made in total secrecy based on prelim concepts, but man... I'd rather we got this set 6 months later if that meant a better design
Peli Motto's hair is so way off - it should have been the same hair piece as SW 0953 Val. Hair Bubble Style 87995.
I like this model, I don't love the front, but I like the back end and in particular the detail on the thrusters. I had hoped to get Din Djarin's face though.
I don't hate the dark sabre, and I don't want a plain black sword - but it definitely needs something more - perhaps translucent black. Honestly not sure. But the blade is going to play a pivotal role in season 3, so a bit of love by Lego would be much appreciated.
All in all, a nice little set.
At least they waited to reveal this after "The Choice".
Printed / sticker engine intakes? Isn't there an actual fan turbine part? Or a saw blade?
Seems LEGO is just being "nostalgic" about the Darksaber now. Considering the importance it's going to have moving forward, the switch to a more subject-accurate shape is overdue.
Nice. Except for that annoying woman minifig. Straight to the parts bin for her.
Is this finally the hot rod I’ve been searching for?
Seen certain youtube reviewers that are reliable like MandR suggest this is a $60 USD set, which seems steep for 411 pieces. 75312: Boba Fetts Starship was $50USD and had 593 pieces. So wonder if this'll be a £30 GBP set?
That said, I like this! Its pretty show accurate from what I can tell, and I love the BD droid. Seriously, BD has been my favourite droid character after getting introduced in Fallen Order. Nice to finally see a brick version.
Just wish they could make a more rounded spring shooter somehow to make the gun barrels a accurate play feature rather then just decoration.
Man, why didn't they use one of the Ninjago Elemental Blades for the Darksaber? (part 11439)
Other than that, this set looks incredible, cant wait for that Fallen Order droid!
It look oversized, especially compared to the Razor Crest and previous downscaled models (TIE Fighter, X-Wing, Slave 1). This set could have been more successful if made in a smaller scale at a 40-50$ price (upper price if silver elements were used).
I had hoped that if amazon-uk revealed we'd see the UK price, seemingly no such luck :(

Im pretty sure it was also used in 8015 .
Just finished BoBF. Wizard!
Oversized and probably oversized though. Especially compared to last year's Slave I- I mean Boba Fett's Starship.
Nice ship! Is the light bluish grey 6x7-ish canopy forming the nose a new part? It looks like the old standard speed champion canopy (18973), but has 45 degree slopes on the sides.

I think that's part 73109, a 1x2 technic brick with a 1x2 plate sticking out the back. It was only released last year.

8015 is the tail piece. The slope before the tail, attached to the body, is the new part they are referring to.
A must-have! It looks awesome and very faithful to the source, in LEGO form!
I’m very excited.
Strangely from the back of the box picture I think it looks better flying backwards!
This Baby Yoda looks like a cross between old Yoda and Dobby the elf (Harry Potter) with a little classic alien DNA. Green skin, big black eyes, small mouth... simply terrifying :D

I think it’s a new windscreen. It’s on one if the upcoming Speed Champions cars, and I hadn’t seen it before that product announcement.
Amy Sedaris fig! Amy Sedaris fig!

Awesome! I really hope it comes unprinted in the Speed Champions set, I need it in Trans Black. It would be perfect for the MOC I'm working on of The Ghost from SW Rebels.
Looks good! Definitely needs some love in the center hull and the wings, but I also consider very few LSW ships to be perfect or near-perfect. Could also do with swapping a lot of the dbg for lbg, and the large technic tube pieces in gunmetal.
Mando and Greg look good as usual, and the new Peli and BD droid are also really good. One of the better parts of TBoBF is that it made me like Peli more, so it's certainly a welcome addition now! It also *seems* like Mando doesn't have a plain black head, but that might be a trick of the editing.
Rumored price of 70 euro (and presumably $60, since that's been the general trend), is not particularly appealing. $50 would have felt a little overpriced, but given the size and figure selection, would have gone nicely with last year's X-Wing and Boba Fett's "Unnamed" Ship That Still Hasn't Gotten a New Name. Compared to the other $60 Mandalorian Starfighter, 75316, that is also currently on market, I think it loses that value battle pretty cleanly.
Still, though, very nice ship, and looking forward to getting it!
There is no way in hell 60 Euros is appropriate for this, more like 30 or 40 at max, jeez!

I do like this. The wings seem a little thin though

I literally was just thinking the same thing, but it doesn't seem to come with his hair.
£66 for STICKERS instead of working engine blades? No thanks, I pass.
I'm waffling between awesome and awful. Even the stripped-down version is pretty sleek, and Lego doesn't do "sleek" well. This is a bit blockier than I'd like.
Have you noticed that Mando's skin is shown at the neck level, just beneath his helmet ?
It seems that we're going to get a a real face for Din Djarin.
Oh, wow. I really love this!!!
Hmm i know its supposed to feel greeble-y and junky, but it just feels TOO sloppy in a way. Might purchase.
It looks a bit too big to be minifig scale.
This is very nice. Minifigs are great (love the brown colored belt), the ship is sleek w nice accents of yellow (I love the silver used), and its detailing is great. I dislike the Darksaber, tho. Oh well. Throne room set is blah but this is well done. I like the fact the set name still retains the "N-1 Starfighter" designation.

Those are points not stickers. But it doesn't change the fact the price is too damn high.

I heard about that. I'm not sure if it's actually BD-1, or the droid belonging to Peli Motto; if it's the latter, I'd have to mod it anyway. Either way, if it turns out to be true, I'll be glad!
Well.... yeah, we're going to buy it. But let's get a proper grip and blade for the Darksaber, huh?

I think that Ninjago blade is almost perfect, but it's not smooth enough to accurately represent the darksaber blade. I do agree though that a mould similar to that, perhaps dual-cast as black and transparent, would be way better than a solid black bar. This exact same design was used as the darksaber in set 9525 10 years ago. An update is definitely in order.
Really like it! I didn’t like the mold for the BD droid at first but it’s grown on me. I like that they included a spot for his jet pack so you don’t have to hold it off to the side(looking at you mando Starfighter blasters!) overall a pretty good set but a bit pricey, will be picking it up though

I was thinking the same!
I’m pretty impressed at the turnaround time for this set, especially considering it took nearly a year to get a Razor Crest set. But it looks fantastic!! So glad we’re getting a Peli Motto and BD droid. Just missing a few pit droids and the R5 unit…
YES! I expected this would come at some point and I’m buying it day one!
Do I see Mando's face???
Even with all the new and recent parts used here this kind of looks like a set from 15 years ago. I mean just look at that rear view, it's a random jumble of pieces with some angle or curve to them around back! I appreciate the efforts to not just reuse the same N-1 design as before with some slight changes but the old N-1 designs (except the 1999 one) all look better than this
It looks as if they’re going to have Mando’s face printed on a brown head like the scout trooper heads with the Balaclava from a few years back. I’m excited to see how that looks!

Agreed. Looks like they went more for detail than scale. I would have preferred something properly sized and making better use of silver parts. (TLG must be grinding their teeth at having to make all the Mando stuff, based on his color scheme!)
This is great, was excited to see this from Lego as soon as we saw it in the show! It doesn't look too big overall for a Lego set, but hard to tell because the perspective on the box art especially is so distorted.
I agree that Peli should have used Val's hairpiece in nougat. Honestly It was a bit of a mistake not to.
At the very least, Lego should have slapped a 1x4 tile on each of the N-1's wings with a sticker or print of the faded yellow streak that Mando left on each wing. Lego wasn't thinking there.
Finally, it is way, way past time for Lego to make a proper Darksaber, as probably 1/3 of the comments here mention. Lego needed to do this as soon as it was clear we would be seeing the saber in live action, which was years ago now. They made a custom hilt piece for Count Dooku's lightsaber that will never see the mileage of the Darksaber, and they don't even need to get that specific with it, since serviceable parts exist that could be recolored.
Seriously, what is the explanation there, Lego? Kids never arm their figures with the current Lego Darksaber whenever it's included in a set, simply because it looks stupid! Everyone and their grandma would be jumping to get Din's N-1 if it finally had the Darksaber, regardless of the price.
As far as price, I've seen people say $60 and others say $70. Looking at the price to part ratio of the new Horizon Zero Dawn set, I'd feel taken paying $60 for a 411 piece set.
When can I get it in yellow?
@TheOriginalSimonB said:
"Is that a new bracket holding the engines on to the wingtips or have I just missed it before?"
It is most likely twice the part 73109 (Technic, brick modified 1x2 with hole and 1x2 plate) side by side or they created a new 2x4 part.
As for the dark blade, I suggest part 37341 in trans brown inserted into a black light sabre hilt.
Wizard.
Thanks all for the part ID. I see now I even have one of the sets it appears in so need to look more closely in future!
Finally I can do a Strangers With Candy MOC...
The set overall looks neat. I haven't got caught up on the series yet, so I doubt I will buy this. But it looks good based on the N-1 from memory. (just not his version so to speak).
Really could use the UCS treatment on this one, but still a day one purchase! The moment I saw it on screen I knew I'd need a Lego one!

Include orange lightsaber blades for Cal’s split lightsaber, Cere, Merrin, Second Sister, bigfig Ninth Sister, and a couple of Purge Troopers, and that would be my first LEGO Star Wars set for sure.
I wanted to love it, and expected to be a buyer, but they've managed to make a sleek ship look like crumpled toilet paper.
About $14½ cents per piece is too steep for such a small set. Why isn't this priced at $49.99 instead? This is going to be on my wishlist, but I'll wait for a Target, Walmart, or another store's sale before I get it. Star Wars is way over-priced per piece.
A few small tweaks would make this excellent…firstly taking care of the gaps behind the canopy. Tricky to do while keeping its position right but I imagine it will be possible.
I have mixed feelings about this. It should definitely be smaller, smoother, and shinier. Right now it looks too similar to Grievous's Soulless One. A darksaber mold, pit droid crew, and face and hair for Mando wouldn't hurt.
Everything about this set feels incredibly rushed, right down to the box art. Pretty disappointed; I definitely think they could've done significantly better.
75092 was released almost 7 years ago, and in a lot of ways this new set feels like a massive step down. Despite the cobbled-together nature of the vehicle in the show, it's still appears rather sleek & shiny. This set doesn't capture either of those qualities. I really expected larger leaps in accuracy similar to some of the MOCs that have been made more recently. There's a plethora of newer parts that are able to capture the shapes of the N-1, but it seems basically none of them were used here.
Also, for the price, there should've been a ton of drum-lacquered silver elements. That alone would've improved the appearance.
I'm guessing the large size was determined by the need to fit Grogu inside the transparent bubble.
@Inkomi:
It looks the same dark-brown as the torso.
@fulcrumbop:
The turbofan print first appeared in 76036, and has appeared in a total of 32 sets so far. Yes, there are small molded fans/saws, but none of them are just the blade. They all have handles of some sort on one side.
@Mirakle:
I don’t recall a single minifig that has dark-brown skintone. While there are real people with much darker skin (including one region where people have such high melanin content that one woman has been noted to look almost blueish-black), minifigs are limited by the ability of black lines to read properly, since that’s how mouths are always depicted. Currently old-brown is the darkest skintone I am aware of, followed by reddish-brown (that color change may have been based around the shift to fleshie licensed minifigs).
@The_Chosen_1:
For S1, they probably had a “wait-and-see” mentality, given how the PT got shredded on the internet, and how backlash probably negatively impacted sales of sets based on those films. For S2 on, they know the show and character are both popular, and aren’t as likely to sit around waiting for viewer numbers before committing to sets. TBoBF could be expected to build on the popularity of The Mandalorian, combined with the immense popularity of Boba Fett, so that wouldn’t have looked like as risky of a prospect as S1 Mandalorian.
@ItsTwentyBelow:
Dooku’s hilt was designed for a feature film at a time when people were still camping out for tickets to go on sale. They also did Darth Tantrum’s hilt. Ventress’ curved hilts were a bit of a surprise, as was the Inquisitor’s, but both of those were tied to the Clone Wars series that was serving in lieu of a feature film as the driving force for the SW theme. These streaming shows have neither the viewership numbers nor the range of sets to sink a lot of money into new molds of that type when they also need to produce stuff like Punt Yoda, and have opportunities to make long-awaited pieces like a Quarren head.

Kylo had a new hilt? Which set?
@tfcrafter :
Right, that one was done with a T-shaped blade. I think I’ve successfully avoided buying a single set with that character, but I remembered they’d figured out a way to represent his grade school science fair project.
Hi,
In Hungary the price is 23990HUF, the set is pre-order status. Arriving date is 1st June and the buying limit is 2pcs.
Why do people criticise the darksabre now when it first debuted in 2012 (9525). Was there any criticism then?
I still really like this, but I’ll wait for the buildable BD-1 for that figure.
@PurpleDave :
@fulcrumbop :
6266155 MINI ACCESSORY NO. 10. It was in seven sets in 2019 and 2020. It's even silver metallic!
Set 76120: in the set image, there are four in front of Commissioner Gordon.
My question is, what is the 4x4 round piece at the front of the engines? Is it new? I don't recognize it.
Edit: It looks like an opaque version of part 79850, four of which are in Transparent in 76391-1 and one in Transparent Yellow in 76205-1 Gargantos Showdown.
@RaiderOfTheLostBrick:
Absolutely there was. A plain black bar has never appealed to AFOLs in this usage, but the problem is how to realistically do better. Trans-black would sorta work, but it’d look more like a lightsaber than badly needs a recharge. Many asked for a trans-clear or GitD bar with a solid black core, but making that look good would be unrealistically difficult. So, people pissed and moaned, and either bought the set or didn’t, but I don’t recall seeing any alternative designs.
@560heliport:
Yeah, I guess I forgot about that. I’ve barely had any experience with that part, most of which probably involved pulling a couple of those bags out of Batman sets, but never opening them. Two of the parts I was thinking of were in the companion pack from 76122, which were L/R circular saws with bars sticking out from the edge.
I’m not sure what the status is with those packs. The grenade pack with the turbofan only appeared in Superheroes sets, with three Batman sets in 2019, and four Marvel sets the following year (and for some reason the Bricklink inventory for 76153 skips the bagged pack, and omits half of the grenade tips and turbofans, not even listing them as extra parts). The sawblade pack only showed up in the 2019 Batcave, two Marvel sets in 2020, and one Ninjago set and one SW set last year.
The switch for the grenade pack makes me wonder if something happened to the mold, which should have produced four of each grenade tip, four turbofans, and a grapnel from a single shot on a combined mold (this is what bagged accessories like this usually signify). If that last Marvel set didn’t get 6/13 parts, were they even produced? They only got one grapnel from that mold, so it’s not like they could just split the contents in half and use each bag for two sets. The lack of 2021 or early 2022 sets may hint that those parts have been eliminated from production, but it’s too early to be certain.
Regarding the turbofan cowling, that’s what I would assume. And before people freak out about another irreversible connection, there’s only one stud in the pocket, but where there would normally be a 2x2 grid of studs, there are instead holes that will let you poke a bar through to pop loose any part you attach to these.
@PurpleDave :
The turbofans and grenade tips for set 76153 are actually in Bricklink's inventory... but they're in the inventory of two figures: the AIM agent with the Flame Yellowish Orange backpack/jetpack thingy, and MODOK. Bricklink separates parts of minifigs (and non-minifig figures) from the rest of the set inventory. So they're there, but sort of hidden.
I don't know, the printed tiles in the N-1 might look better than those turbofan parts anyway! Maybe I'll use one of each. I have one chrome turbine from 10026 Special Edition Naboo Starfighter, and it's going on Mando's N-1 because it's too awesome to not use!
@560heliport:
Ah, right, and splitting the parts up like that means they can’t list the full bag in the inventory like they can when those parts are used in assemblies like you find in 4Junior sets. I see now on closer inspection that all eight grenade rips are accounted for in the set photo, with the fifth on the AIM soldier’s gun, and the other three on spare projectiles. Still only see two turbofans, but the other two would need to be listed even if they’re not used.
@PurpleDave:
There's one on each side of the Helicarrier, between the lift fans, but lower.
@560heliport:
Okay, but this is stretching the limit of my ability to care about a Marvel set that doesn’t involve Deadpool, basically any members of the X-Men family, or Squirrel Girl.
Glad to see that Lego is taking Disney’s lead in removing Boba Fett from the Book of Boba Fett. I must say I’m amazed we are getting this so quickly, it seems like Lego is always a year behind on their Star Wars sets and you get last season’s sets this year.
@ItsTwentyBelow :

You seem to think you have a point here about why we still don't have a proper Darksaber, when you really don't, plus camping out for physical movie tickets is not an accurate way to gauge popularity of any media anymore simply because society has moved beyond that. Anyway, the Mandalorian was surely more well received than Attack of the Clones, hands down, and Lego already realized that after Season 1. The Darksaber has quickly become one of the more well known artifacts in Star Wars after Season 2, and should get a specialized mold before a no-name Quarren character (though I do like that mold).
And hey yeah, you're reminding me, Lego has even already made specific parts for Ventress' sabers, and the Inquisitor lightsaber (which is from the much less popular Rebels, definitely not from Clone Wars). Both of those parts will likely end up getting way, way less mileage than a new Darksaber part would. Don't forget, we saw the Darksaber quite a bit in the Clone Wars and Rebels, too. And guess what? The current shows are doing the same job as the older shows you bring up, carrying the franchise during non-film years. And doing the job while enjoying much sooner widespread popularity and acceptance by fans and general audiences than Ep II or Clone Wars did.
So why don't we have a proper Darksaber after 10 years and like 5 sets now that include it? I don't think there is a good explanation. Lego just kicking the can down the road.
Take a look at some clever designs of this on Rebrickable, some are jawdropping, after seeing them this set is average and has wrong geometry, it is pricey too in Europe.
For the new part: Is it possible it is a render error? I’m sure it’s not because it would be a pretty egregious error, but that part geometry doesn’t make a lot of sense (at least to me). It’s so thin where it steps up the 1 plate difference, and I also just didn’t think there was a big void in the 2x4 Ridge Roof Tile family that was screaming for a slightly angled version? I hope it is a new piece, I’m excited to find out.
@ItsTwentyBelow:
The PT was very well received at time of release, and it wasn’t until at least a year after Ep3 came out that the internet backlash started, and that was really only with the adult fans of the time. Ep2 even had a special IMAX cut weeks after the main release, which also did well.
Mandalorian is really the only viable egg in Disney’s basket right now, but because it’s paywalled, it may have a large fandom outside of actual viewers, much like what’s happened with certain HBO series.
As far as hilts go, one basic design covered everything for the first three years, and it wasn’t until Dooku showed up with his crazy bent hilt that they made a new element. I suspect both the Ventress and Inquisitor hilts were the result of a push from Lucasfilm. Marvel forced TLG to make one of the strictly color-locked Mixel joints in a second color, and Lucasfilm kicked off Clone Wars with a theatrical release of the first few episodes, with a merchandise launch event across all categories. Both Ventress and the Inquisitor were supposed to be pivotal villains for those shows.
With this set, the Darksaber has a straight hilt and a straight blade. This solution absolutely fits that description. It may offend you that an accessory that the vast majority of the casual theatrical audience has still never heard of didn’t get new molds, but the inclusion of the Quarren head shows that the design team is aware of one fundamental fact, which is that minifigs sell sets. Specifically, people have been asking them to introduce more variety of aliens into the theme for years, and they’ve been coming through on that, including a few sculpted heads here and there.
Sculpt a new Darksaber, and all they can really use it for is a handful of sets where the existing design would still work. Make a Quarren head, and they can seed a few different Quarren minifigs into the theme, each of which will help drive sales of new sets. Besides, using the same construction as a lightsaber will help kids understand that the Darksaber is functionally equivalent to one.
@Kerr:
Not likely. It’s depicted this way in every angle, the geometry of the base fits with existing standards, and the upper geometry does look like it has a bit of a slope compared to the standard version. As for your concern, we don’t know what the interior looks like, but the exterior shows that the “thin” part is nearly one brick tall (remember, it’s a 45° slope, not a plate or tile). The underside is probably reinforced at the step, with the appearance of a 2x3 plate adjacent to a 1x2 plate, so I’d expect to see a double-thick vertical wall right at the notch, which will add a lot of strength. If they add ribs to connect it to the adjacent tube and bar, that would further strengthen it, but given how short the part is, it wouldn’t need much in the way of ribs.
@PurpleDave - Thanks - really interesting and that all makes a lot of sense. Well, I am always excited about new molds!
