I plan to order 10302, but I've read everyone's horror stories about the LEGO site crashing, etc., on first-day releases and am hoping to Primus this won't happen tomorrow.

Scythe, Jedi Starfighter, BD-1 and the Andor set haven’t got release dates yet? I find it a bit odd that we have some of their prices but no release dates.

They can be pre-ordered already so didn't appear on my list. 1st August.

Well obviously 60333 .... the most exciting new release of the year!

By in United Kingdom,

Nothing on the summer Technic wave? I'm having a hard time believing that that theme is high on TLG's priority list.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Dang. Majorly disappointed in the delay on the MK sets. Was really looking forward to getting those in June to get the rumored forestmen GWP

By in United Kingdom,

I have a birthday gift Argos voucher patiently waiting for the sets I want to be in stock. I don't want much...the Friends recycling truck mainly. They better get it. Argos isn't as good as it used to be for Lego.
I also have a birthday M+S voucher but they don't sell Lego so that sucks. What on earth is a 47 year old woman meant to buy from M+S......ha ha !!

They are still under wraps but most likely will be released on August 1st.

If the GWP is nice, cool and worth that extra cost, I do. Plus, you get VIP points.

Some sets, including €30 city sets can't be found anywhere else, depending on country.

60305: Car Transporter and 60327: Horse Transporter for example.

By in United States,

A little nervous about the timing for the Forestmen GWP and the release dates not quite lining up.

No extremely nervous.

By in Puerto Rico,

Aiming for some of the SW sets as well many of the Friends and the Farm CITY sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I totally missed that a lot of the stuff coming out in Europe on 6/1 hasn't hitting the US until 8/1. Had my wishlist all ready to go for 6/15, solely for for the Forestmen GWP... and now I realize that literally everything I want won't be for sale yet.

Welp... guess I'll be overpaying for the Forestmen Hideout on Bricklink. Hey, Lego: Can't I just buy it straight from you?

Don't be ridiculous.

The best model for selling your products to customers is to only make a few of them, and make it as difficult as possible for your customers to actually obtain the item.

And profit! Although most of that profit goes to the scalpers, but, like, whatever.

'Most' is the crucial word. There are plenty that are D2C exclusives. Also it's rare to get decent discounts on day 1, so I consider the RRP to include a 'Get it Quick' surcharge. Many sets, I'm happy to wait up to a year for and maybe get them for half price... others I'm just too impatient!

The site will crash. And don't wait tomorrow. Buy it at midnight, because it'll be gone in 5 minutes. It'll be back eventually, but it will take months [I missed out on 75342 the day it released and I'm still waiting for it to be back in stock].

I for one. I live in an isolated community where there is one toy shop with very limited selection. LEGO.com is by far the best option for me, in large part because I refuse to buy from Amazon and Walmart.

Gravatar
By in United States,

i got notice that my mando's n-1 shipped yesterday!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wait… the remainder of the CITY sets are releasing tomorrow and in August? Has Lego broken the space/time barrier?

EDIT: I see.. one is Europe and the other is North America. My bad.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

Why it is going to be earlier in Europe? August 1st in NA means between September and October for Brazil. Sad.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Winter you mean.

Gravatar
By in United States,

There's not a ton coming out next month in North America that I'm urgently interested in. I do plan on maybe getting the Optimus Prime set.

I am really looking forward to both reviews and instructions for the Monkie Kid sets coming out after their European release, though! We were lucky to get early reviews for Ninjago but I've been eagerly awaiting a better look at the awesome new Monkie Kid sets, especially 80039 The Heavenly Realms.

By in United States,

Prime, Prime, Prime…you will be mine. And for once I’m not talking about Amazon.

Since I have a spending embargo on all non LEGO (since LEGO is too expensive to allow for multiple collecting hobbies, and I’m cool with that)…haven’t bought a Transformer in years.

THIS. ENDS. NOW.

Hee hee…

By in Canada,

On top of new sets available on the 1st of June is the availability of the 'standard' service of Pick-a-Brick. (The service was slated to be available in May so they made that happen on the very last day).

If you are an animal lover, this is not great at all. Before the services were merged (pick-a-brick & bricks and pieces) there were 341 elements in the category 'Animal and plants'. As of today, there are 190 currently available - if you toggle the switch to also show the 'currently not available' you then go to 257. This is 84 elements (roughly 25%) of what was available before that has disappeared - how about that for an improvement of the service??? I had a non-exhaustive list built from BrickHunter which had 88 items on it. Running this list today returns only 36 items and the prices are just grand-scale thievery. Signs of the time I guess: less service, less quality, higher prices - get used to it...

I did not yet have the time to see if this disgusting turn of affair affected other parts of the service but since I will now try to order the pieces needed for my long-term ongoing moc, I will find out pretty soon.

By in United States,

I was looking at the picture of set 60345 on this article, and just noticed: are they actually filling their watering can from the fire hydrant? Isn't that illegal?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

The Sense of Perfection book (not LEGO) to be release in conjunction with the Ferrari Daytona SP3 Technic Supercar on June 1st is not showing a product page on the Canadian website. With the limit of 5000 copies printed...this is not boding well. Even a call to LEGO CSR yielded a big "we don't know" :(

Was hoping at least to get this to tide me over until the "LEGO budget" allows for the actual car.

Ha, ha. No doubt. Infuriating!

By in United States,

^No way the farm truck was a $45 set, I was seeing $30 or $35, since the van I figured $20 (since it's the same size as the 2020 ice cream van and the 2017 pizza van), and the spare parts about $10-$15.

Yeah those RRPs are bonkers. I guess LEGO knows that we're suckers for new animal molds.

Nope! The lever on the left and the water coming out the right indicate that it's a good old-fashioned hand-powered well pump, nothing illegal about it!

@jul9000 exactly, when (exact time) will they release these new sets? I had an alarm for midnight, to get Ferrari book...
