By in United States,

All of these are fantastic! I'll probably end up grabbing all three and I'm not even close to a holiday set kind of guy.

By in United States,

I hope the Santa's Sleigh comes back from last year. Didn't even get to pick one up and Lego.com was sold out in minutes

By in United States,

I don't celebrate the holidays, but I really like the polar bear vignette! Prices are really good for the US too, especially compared to the Advent Calendars.

By in United States,

I hope people make a bunch of fun micro/nanoscale ornaments for the Christmas Tree.

By in Canada,

I think Lego pricing will become a new science discipline: Legopriceology!

40572 penguins and snowflakes: 139 parts for $9.99 - but wait - just add another $3 (or 30% of the original value of the set) and we will upgrade you with 224% more parts with set 40571 with 312 parts for $12.99.

On other news, with set 40573 you can either build a Christmas tree or a... wait for it... a Christmas tree.

By in United Kingdom,

That’s a pretty cool Christmas Tree, might have to keep an eye out for that one

Gravatar
By in United States,

That tree looks great. It reminds me of some Lego Ideas submissions, and while those had a lot more decoration this could easily be modified.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The tree reminds of the 2019 GWP tree 40338 although it looks like there are double the parts and I assume this would be taller. Looks good but will stick with 40338 which I did pair with Santa’s Sleigh as part of our Christmas decorations - a good tree definitely works.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Give the polar bears solid black eyes and a can of Coke, and you've got yourself a licensed endorsement.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Anyone else notice the heart with stick piece in red on the tree? Those would work great for Zelda MOCs...

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I like the two small sets, but that tree looks just plain boring and uninspired. And even when the price-per-part looks pretty decent, it just doesn't look like €40 of Lego to me.

I'm with you on this one. The tree is ok, but the one from a few years ago feels better. Plus, I don't like this new one at $45, that's for sure! 300 of the elements must be 1x1 somethings.

By in United States,

Am I interpreting the "2in1" images correctly that the 13-level main model can be rebuilt into both a 10-level tree and a 6-level tree at the same time?

Gravatar
By in United States,

So the tree can be rebuilt into two smaller trees? I can kind of see the appeal of that, since the single tree looks a bit on the skinny side. I think I still prefer the GWP tree from a few years back.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

They're cute, but not cute enough to feed the greed.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I think the Christmas Tree is excellent. Very tastefully done. Will definitely get a couple to have all 3 versions.
The Polar Bears look great, even though more like white bulldogs!
The Snowflake will make a brilliant tree decoration, but the Penguin could be pretty much anything!

Gravatar
By in Slovenia,

I dislike the tree to be honest, it looks like a worse version of that 2019 GWP. I was hoping for something better looking, like the trees they put with Winter Villlage sets, but bigger. Those are pretty great - each year they manage to make a pretty one with different building techniques.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I really like the tree. I'm not sure about the baby polar bear, it's a bit too blocky. And if I could just get the snowflake ornament without the penguin one I'd be more tempted.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm amazed they haven't used that Lego Movie 2 star piece in a Mario set yet.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ho Ho Ho

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The tree looks an odd shape and a tedious build. So, probably will give that one a miss.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That tree needs a Grinch and some Whos

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Interesting that the B model trees include parts not seen on the main one.

I was just thinking the same thing. The one smaller tree almost looks like a copy of 40338, including the placement of some of the decorations. I guess we'll see, I am always a fan of larger X-mas trees to include in the seasonal display.

By in United States,

Ever want a Christmas tree under your Christmas tree?

Now you do.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Bahahaha you can get the Christmas Tree for the same price as the advent calendars, I’m not into “Santa Claus and presents” Christmas anymore so I won’t be getting any of these but they’re great deals regardless.

LEGO is SOOOOO going downhill with the festive christmas sets this year. A polar bear that resembles a pit bull dog, REALLY? The christmas tree is uninspiring and is a fit only in SIMPLETOWN, USA - a MOC Chinese lego has a lot more rings to it. I can't even look at the Penguin ornament twice, what an eyesore. Since you're officially ruining chrismas this year, you should've added Grinch in your line-up, LEGO.

This Christmas Tree Lego set needs the Polar Express running around it with a bunch of elves trying to put the star on top by ridiculous means. It seems unfinished without these crucial elements.

By in Singapore,

Is there a winter village set this year?

supposedly, yes. Not yet revealed.... the leaks have really dried up this year.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Lego are really on this Penguins are a Christmas animal band wagon. Do they know it’s summer in the Southern Hemisphere for Christmas?

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

All three of them bland, uninspired and not appealing as build experience. Easy pass. Hopefully the new Winter Village set doesn't wind up in fantasy realm again as it has done on some previous occasions.

@kkoster79:
I was just at my local LEGO Store about 1.5 weeks ago, and they had it in stock. I can’t even find a page documenting it in LEGO.com, though.

@SimonSpace70s:
Hey, there is one penguin species (Galápagos penguin) that lives north of the equator. I mean, it’s a few feet north of the equator, but it still counts!

It doesn't make a lot of sense but then a lot of Christmas traditions are a bit odd.

Penguins are cute and associated with snow, ergo, they are Christmassy I guess?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Love the Xmas tree. Very similar, only bigger, to the GWP Xmas tree from a couple of years ago, which I thought was the best one they ever made. Will get in multiples.

Also like the snowflake.

I've never seen the appeal of the animals pairs, usually adult and child. They never look quite right.

Another tree....

Yeah, I reckon I will just have to make up 6 white Boomers, or a rusted out ute full of presents this Christmas ??.
