51 projects qualify for the second 2022 Ideas review
Posted by Huw,
LEGO has just listed the projects that achieved 10,000 votes during the second 2022 LEGO Ideas review period.
51 made the grade, which includes the usual mix of licensed and unlicensed proposals. The results of the review won't be announced until February next year but nevertheless let us know which ones you think are in with a chance after the break.

Lots of beautiful builds!
Love Garfield, the phone box, the escher room, the greek temple and the nightmare before Christmas, but probably the only one I would buy is The A-team van. Iconic!
Not a single NASA set? What has happened to lego IDEAS. (Kidding).
Real-life object in lego [tick]
TV show set [tick]
Modernised medieval build [tick]
Disney set [tick]
Modular building that's never going to get made [tick]
Obscure IP only know by fans [tick]
My guess would be something like the telephone box. But I'm always way off.
Wait, why is the Viking Village there? Surely that's an oversight, seeing as it's already being made into a set? Gotta say though, I do prefer the vibrant colours of this version, as opposed to the more dour original. Hopefully that's something that is kept in the final design!
Love the Nightmare, Mata Nui, and Ratatouille sets. Many of the others are also good, but don't seem to stand out enough to be chosen.
Japanese Village looks good and Bluey is adorable! It's a toss-up between those two for me.
Lego. Don't make the same mistake twice. Approve the Mata Nui rises and no one gets hurt
Lots of great builds here. The escape game is unique. I really hope for Mata Nui.
Also, 2 solar system models in the same review. How many times has an orrery made it into a review before? Hopefully one of them gets chosen this time.
Thomas the Tank Engine would also be something I’d like to see… the Duplo sets don’t cut it for me, there could be a very detailed line of trains with that IP.
Large MOCs and not many true 'ideas' here.
I like the Lisbon Tram, Sikorsky helicopter, Lego Cats and the Log Flume (although that one needs reworking).
But really nothing to be excited about.
My favs:
3. MOTORIZED STEAMPUNK SKYSHIP by Castor-Troy & Max Brich
6. FISHING IN MUDDY WATERS by Ralf Ranghaal
13. THE ART CENTER by Lepralego
15. UNIVERSITY OF BRICKESTER by Lepralego
19. VIKING VILLAGE by BrickHammer
27. THE OLD TRAIN ENGINE SHED by Mind the Brick
41. WORKING LOG FLUME – FAIRGROUND WATER COASTER by Baron von Barron
47. LEGO CATS by legotruman
Some lovely builds. The creativity of the Lego community is just phenomenal. And while I realise that there's practically zero chance of it being selected, I really love the Old Engine Shed.
My favourite is the 1930s Garage, but I can't really see that as an Ideas set.
Others I like (that probably have a bit more chance) are the Clockwork Solar System and the Polaroid Camera, although I prefer the other Ideas submission of the Polaroid Land Camera.
Outsiders that I'd probably buy, the Phone Box and the Walkman.
Hoping for Gravity Falls and the Krusty Krab, but I guess neither will make it into an official set.
Weirdly the one I like best from this batch is Thomas the Tank Engine. Didn't see that coming.
Bluey is my favourite here - but think it would work better as a Duplo set.

"There are some nice large MOCs in there, but nothing really new and exciting. Nothing I'd spend £150+ on.
I think I'd like to see a change in direction for IDEAS. Maybe have a range of categories, such as 600 parts and under, 600-1500 parts, and 1500+. Have separate panels for each, once per year (or however panel they want for however many sets they want to produce). The cats are quite nice but you build the same thing twice in different colours, so twice the price it could be. Having a part count band might help promote some smaller builds.
"
I think you’re absolutely right. Lots of nice MOC builds I’d expect to see at a Lego show, but nothing I’d buy in that selection of 51(!).
I wish Lego would do more to give the £30 size ideas a chance.
I would probably buy multiple thomas the tank engine if they did it, but they won't
i like the mushroom house, it has 1100 pieces so the price could be not very high.
Other project are based on unknown (for me) series like, Heartstopper Charlie's Room.
The A-team van is made also by Playmobil, so i don't know if there will be copyright issues.
Indiana Jones seems plausible (series returning in 2023 so IP is sorted out, would be an adult-aimed equivalent of Star Wars vignettes).
Polaroid seems to be capture the spirit of the old IDEAS sets.
I'd love to see the Japanese village or the Great Wave, but won't hold my breath.
Hoping for Mata Nui or the Great Wave, they both look amazing
Lots of good options! Personally really hoping for the mushroom house.

The telephone box would also be my guess. But when I look at the current Ideas sets it will be something like Thomas the Tank Engine as a "beautiful collectors item" for $349,99.
Indiana Jones won't happen since LEGO wont do Ideas sets that are in themes they are already doing.
Thomas the Tank Engine can't happen since Mattel owns it these days.
From the list the ones I might buy would be the phone box, Garfield, the Clockwork Solar System and the Greek Temple.
Lot of impressive builds this round, but my favorites are: The Sony Walkman, the Tuscan Villa, and Fishing in Muddy Waters.
The Walkman is instantly recognizable and very accurate, and would look nice displayed alongside the recent guitar set.
The Villa's roof is really well done and captures the style incredibly well. It's a great build technique.
And Fishing in Muddy Waters, well, that thing is just so insanely detailed absolutely everywhere. Every time I look at it I spot something new that I love about it.
An honorable mention, the Mushroom House is really cute, with great usage of a lot of curved parts.
Overall though, the entire lineup of 51 is a fantastic batch of builds. It's sad knowing that only one or two will be selected out of these 51. So many more of them deserve to be sets.
Nothing Disney. Again. How many RATATOUILLE and THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS submissions now with nothing?
SpongeBob again and again. Ideas needs to remove that submission option
No Indy as official sets are on the way
No Terraria as too close/less popular than Minecraft (LEGO's reasoning not mine)
Lotta these IPs carry little weight to LEGO with perhaps except Garfield
Nothing modular as usual
No Bionicle because last denied submission didn't even make it in Bricklink Designer Program
No Tuscany as Venice was denied and eaten up by Bricklink Designer Program
Steampunk too niche?
No Witch House because Hocus Pocus incoming
No Greece because mythology/ancient history is too cool for LEGO (Playmobil cares)
No Japanese or Chinese builds. Approach on Ninjago and Monkie Kid, respectively
Nothing castle/fantasy oriented (there is a demand but LEGO is blind). Approach on Lion Knights' Castle, Medieval Blacksmith, and Harry Potter. No Pirates either
Nothing trains as only a few sets every few years and you'll like it; cannibalizes LEGO's official sets
No Viking village with the Target exclusive coming (same thing?)
Can't see large animal builds make it; BrickHeadz has pet lovers covered. LEGO would choose Garfield over big cats cause IP
No Log Flume; cannibalizes Roller Coaster (except I'd buy this one due to price, size, and theming)
Great Wave if van Gogh Starry Night is selling well.
Probably the Polaroid Camera or Walkman with recent track record. Gross. Yawn.
Same old same old.
Would love to see The Great Wave adapted into a hanging picture as it woukd look great next to my Starry Night.
Loads to good stuff there but most will be in vain given Legos recent track record.
Personally I miss the cheaper end IDEAS set in the £30-£50 range but you just don't see those submissions anymore or at least they don't get the votes anymore.
Given Lego's current focus on real-life nostalgic objects, I suspect the Polaroid camera or the Walkman are most likely to proceed. Maybe even the telephone box, but the appeal of that might be more limited.

10276? 21058?
90% of that steampunk ship is just a repurposed Sea Cow with the sails removed!
Is anyone else frustrated with all the license requiring builds being submitted and getting through. Ideas is at it's best when we've had original ideas we've never seen in Lego for a long time, such as the massive Apollo rocket (still my Fav), the Jazz Quartet and the Grand Piano. I am slightly hypocritical as I have Wall-E (another Fav) and am hoping to get Starry Night which is a licensed product as well I guess.
For me the most interesting, novel thing there is the Orrery and Clockwork Solar System and the cats!
22) The taskmaster house
Awesome set, honestly one of the best I have seen all year.
Second choice:
37) Garfield
Great set, really imaginative
Fully aware that I'm probably in a tiny minority here, but the Taskmaster set would be a day 1, minute 1 purchase for me. Literally my dream set.
I’ll always take sets aimed at medieval/castle or train/tram/trolley but the Mushroom House just does it for me. Ride the snail!
Lots and LOTS of great submissions here, and many of them are awesome architectural designs, but those which stand out the most for me are "LEGO Mushroom House", "Red London Telephone Box", "Medieval Watchtower", "Garfield 2-in-1", and a extra special mention for both "Ski Chalet" and "Working Log Flume - Fairground Water Coaster", both of which I've been rooting a bit extra for along the way.
But my ticket would undoubtedly, 100% go to "The A-Team: I Love it When a Plan Comes Together", which receives a very much deserved second outing in the Ideas Review, and would be an absolute "no question about it" must-buy on my part.
Good luch, Hannibal and crew! I would LOVE IT it if the VAN comes together!
Also log flume is neat in idea. And the armada port would be great just to have the flag from the guarded inn in blue as well. All in all very fun!
I’m voting for the A-Team van and Thomas the Tank engine.
Unfortunately most of the approved ideas lately have been mega-builds. There seems to be some idea in the TLG executives’ minds that adults actually want to drop $300+ at a time. When what we would enjoy more is a handful of great $50 or $100 sets. Not sure how this prevailing mentality will affect the selection of small, great vehicles that could be made for sub-$50.
What will it be this time, something appealing to nostalgia or brand™/franchise™ cashgrab
I would have been really impressed by the Log Flume if it had managed to include actual running water! As it is, it's just a mediocre rollercoaster.
The Taskmaster set would be an easy purchase.
That Mushroom House is probably one of the most unique, refreshing ideas I've seen make it to the review stage in recent rounds. Definitely stands out from the increasingly predictable standard selection that you typically see.
WOW just wow, there are some very talented people out there. I'd easily go for more than half of those (although my bank may not agree) I'm amazed how much variety there is..
Lego... Double your Ideas Team and lets make more of these models.
Wow, best round in a while. Tons of great builds here. Mushroom House, Great Wave, and Greek Temple are my favorites.
Congrats and good luck to all the designers - I hope several of these get a green light.
as a civil engineer i love the: "THE WORLD OF CIVIL ENGINEERING: TYPES OF BRIDGES", but damn give me that steampunk skyship now!! or maybe the night at museum too
Armada Port would be something real nice, even if Barracuda Bay retired quite early somehow, the 3-in-1 Pirate ship is likely still popular enough or LEGO wouldn't price-increase it twice (€100 to €120 to €130).
And with the current Pirate VIP GWP, maybe the hope for Pirates sets isn't entirely sunk to the bottom of the sea.
A Port like this would be real nice, even if IDEAS can obviously change the design a lot, closer to 6276: Eldorado Fortress / 6277: Imperial Trading Post
Quite a few of these caught my eye! Looking over some of them again, I’d say many have a high level of building sophistication. The roof design technique in Fishing in Muddy Waters is quite unique, I wonder if it was able to be done with legal connections?
Auto repair garage, red London telephone box (love bricked1980’s designs), and the old train engine shed all look well-polished and visually interesting but I have reservations regarding the viability of the subject materials.
Ski chalet: loved it back when Jason revealed it, but all the supporting structure seems too parts intensive and doesn’t appear to be able to be scaled down without compromising function and aesthetics.
Terraria: a pretty cool build looking at it closely but seems very parts intensive and would likely need to be shrinked.
Witch house and Chinese garden both look amazing! Would love a scaled down version of either set, otherwise at these scales the models would be $300 and perhaps $500+ respectively!
With two orrery ideas I’m hoping at least one of them gets through, be a nice spin-off from the more recent globe
I think my favourites here are the university (the design is just cool; the side with the classical architecture and stained glass window look really impressive, while the more modern annex reminds me of where I went to uni), the Mystery Shack, and the working log flume. I feel like the first one, though, would be too close to a modular to pass; previous Mystery Shack projects haven't made it through review so I don't have high hopes for this one; and while the log flume definitely has a higher chance of the three, it's possibly still too close to Lego's own fairground range for them to consider.
Obligatory note that the Mata Nui one is incredibly impressive, but I have to say that it's not what I'd chose to commemorate Bionicle. I'd love to see a set celebrating the theme's history, of course; but I don't have a personal connection to the giant robot, the way I would to something from the earlier years. I think I'd rather have a tribute set that was smaller and more affordable than this would turn out to be, too.
I'm not sure how I feel about the Lilo & Stitch one. I love the movie, but we've had a lot of Disney ideas sets recently (and I think have at least one more in production? I don't remember anymore) and as much as I like them, they shouldn't take over the line. I guess - and no criticism is intended, just a different point of view - I might have picked a different subject than the house for a set of that movie, too; perhaps something involving the beach or the spaceships.
Actually, I really like the design of the Muddy Waters, too; though I've no idea if that's based on an IP or not.
Many of the others are cool or impressive too, but none of them speak to me personally otherwise. Nice work all around though, even so!
This line up is amazing. I can't believe the people complaining that there's nothing creative or exciting here... this is one of the most creative, wide-ranging line ups we've had from Ideas, period. A good mix of licensed vs non-licensed and play vs display sets. It WOULD be nice to see some smaller sets as well, but honestly the creativity here is pretty great all around. Even the licensed sets are, for the most part, a nice step up from the boring box interiors we've been seeing again and again and again with all the sitcom sets lately. Honestly, I think this review session is going to be the most brutal one yet, because I think there's probably a good 10 or so of these that could really be made viable, and we're only likely to see 1 or 2.
The talent is truly remarkable.
Oddly I want Thomas the tank engine and A Team because they remind me of my childhood.
Of all those, I'd consider buying the Cats, Labyrinth or possibly Lisbon Tram. Oh and A Team van.
Not that I think any have a chance of getting picked.
Can see A team being problematic due to use of firearms regularly (even though they always miss).
Others are too niche nor obscure.
Lots of great mocs. Few if any great SET designs.
I’m surprised at seeing some love for Taskmaster. It’s my favourite tv show so even though I’ve basically stopped buying Lego these days, I’d definitely make an exception for this set. Although my son loves Gravity Falls, so we’d get that one too if produced.
I'd give anything for that Garfield set to be approved
I'd love to see the Lisbon tram but it's been rejected before, and that was better project.
The train shed is also nice but trains are niche so don't see that making it through.
Shouldn't the mushroom house come with Smurfs?
A-team is almost identical to the project that was rejected last year, so not a hope.
I'd put my money on the walkman or the phone box, but I'm not a betting man and I've been wrong before...
I feel like none of these sets really fit into the Ideas mold. Maybe the Walkman or Polaroid, but we’ve gotten so many real life objects lately and I don’t think either of these are iconic as both came in a wide variety of designs in real life.
From a building perspective I think the Labyrinth set is great, but the movie, despite having David Bowie, is rather forgettable. Besides, I’m not sure Lego would keep any of the interesting building techniques.
At the end of the day I wouldn’t buy any of these, and that’s just fine. Nothing against the creativity or sets, they simply aren’t for me.
I'd like the Walkman and/or the Polaroid to put on my retro tech display shelf next to 21327, 71374, and 6392343. I also like the Clockwork Solar System although as I commented on that one on Lego Ideas, I'm not sure Lego would do that one due to how big the orbits would be. (almost 30"!)
@lost_scotsman: 21309 is licensed, too, by NASA.
The Gravity Falls Mystery Shack is the only one I would absolutely buy.
There's quite a few others that I think are neat and would consider though.
Mushroom house, great wave, and (maybe) Lisbon tram are interesting for me, but I'm starting to lose interest in Ideas now there are so many, at increasing cost. I uses to feel I could collect them all for a relatively affordable and very varied collection, but now that's becoming impossible.
I also wish they'd split licensed vs non licensed, as I'm interested in very few licensed sets...
I know for certain Indiana Jones and Viking Village won't make it. My highest hopes are the Japanese Village, Bluey and Ancient Greek Temple. I was also a massive Thomas the Tank Engine fan as a kid, but I highly doubt it will make it.
And of course, I'm a sucker for Medieval Builds.
Imagine being able to own a little (Lego) Alex Horne!
Too many large sets and/or licensed sets. Of those that aren't I really like Mushroom House. It's adorable.
There are too many projects here I'd like to see turned into sets.
Most of which LEGO is unlikely to pick.
And most of which would probably come with absurdly high and unjustified price tags, like the recent Lighthouse. So...I'm going to cross my fingers none of the ones I would like gets picked :P
I'm so impressed by the Garfield set! I think the university one looks fun to build (I voted for that one). Like the look of the Greek Temple (although, the scale is off). Someone mentioned the Armada Port, and it's fine, but I would substitute the Imperial Guards for the Armada. I think the Indy vignette looks great and is a possibility (not through Ideas) because of the new movie. Thomas the Tank Engine is so adorable.
There are too many nice ideas in this batch for only one inevitable selection. The Mushroom House is one of the ones I want the most and I think LEGO could select it. Otherwise, I think the Telephone Box, Great Wave, or Medieval Alchemist have a good shot. Can't see either orrery getting through after the one of them was previously rejected. And I'd kind of like the Nightmare Before Christmas set, if only for it being the only opportunity we'd get for a Jack Skellington minifigure that incorporates the extra-long limbs that are returning with the Avatar sets.
Really hoping that the Gravity Falls Mystery Shack finally gets approved (this one is the best so far IMO), but with the sheer number of submissions here I have my doubts…
Lots of good sets this round. I love the Mushroom House, University of Brickster, and Night at the Museum. I'd be happy for any of those to win. Would also be happy with anything medieval.
As is now always the case it is little more than a showcase for MOCs that look impressive but have little or no chance of becoming a commercial set.
However, I do like the Polaroid Camera, the telephone box, the A-Team van* and, especially, the Sony Walkman. Which probably reflects my age if nothing else.
The Thomas the Tank Engine is also quite cool and perhaps Lego will troll the train enthusiasts by making it 7 studs wide.
And the Lilo & Stich set has a sort of 80s design charm about it.
*possibly already a future Speed Champions set which will probably get the usual tin foil hat suspects claiming Lego stole the idea.
Brick hammer"s Viking Village made me do a double take. Must be car of the the left hand not knowing what the right I'd doing or something.
OMG they are all beautiful! We should get them all! Will be a tough decision for the Lego team.
A plethora of great ideas, but perhaps it’s time for the 10,000 vote threshold to succumb to inflation as well.
There's alot here that I like and I know many of them won' t make it. Again, its too many for the selection process, I agree that Ideas really needs an overhaul in selection and reviewing, lessening the quantity of ideas in reviews sessions, have more review sessions, or doing it by build complexity, quantity of bricks and cost, maybe allow fans to vote during the final process.
My top fav is the telephone box, I would love to use that.
I think the Indiana Jones set is great and something they should do for all the films, like they're doing with Star Wars.
I love the garage and train shed but I don't think either will make it, though I really want them to.
I like 'fishing in muddy waters', the Lisbon tram, Medieval Alchemist an Guarded Inn, the Witch house, the great wave off, the Treasury, Petra, Chinese garden, golden trumpet with park bench, watchtower, the Greek temple, the turtle, armada port.
I can see the walkman and camera getting through but I won't buy either, even though they're vert good.
The nightmare before christmas is good but I probably won't buy that, either.
I like the modulars but niether of them will make it either.
I would like the Spongebob and Thomas ones. Both were big parts of my childhood.
I’d pass the mushroom house and one oh f the orreries.
I mean I like the motorized Steampunk Airship. I’ve seen it in person and it’s amazing. But I know it would be a jillion dollars.
I would love to see Lego's take on The Great Wave of Kanagawa, every MOC seems to nail it and I can't imagine how good an official set with that special Lego touch would be. Sony Walkman seems like a no brainer here.
Quite a few Castle themed sets (again), but I'm surprised there's no Zelda sets. Usually at least one Zelda set makes it to the review phase.
I'm happy to see how many great projects have reached 10k supports but sometimes I don't understand how some projects reach 10k supports so quickly I also made a LEGO ideas project myself but I don't understand why my project doesn't support so much while I I've worked hard on it, maybe someone knows what I'm doing wrong.

Walkman or the red telephone box will win. One is in line with the 80s theme Lego loves (eg. Atari) and the latter already has a similar item (eg. The London bus) out already. Pricing for the Walkman will probably be USD 249.99 and telephone box USD 399.99 based on Lego’s recent ridiculous pricing. World of Civil Engineering is the runner up based on Lego’s history of putting out similar sets (eg. The dinosaurs, birds ones)
All the other sets have little to no chance of getting approved based on past experience.
Lots of absolutely amazing MOCs that would be next to impossible to turn into reasonable or satisfying sets. Cut the piece count and lose the spirit of the submission, kept the piece count and the price becomes ridiculous.
Even the smaller MOCs like the Walkman or Polaroid would be hard to recreate at price point that the majority would still be interested in them. Again, the submissions look amazing but people aren't going to spend a big bucks for a display item unless they have a substantial personal connection.
Hoping for the Mushroom House, an original idea that is a reasonable size. Maybe Garfield as well. I really don't think anything else has a chance.
Also hoping for a revamp of the Ideas process sooner rather than later. They either need to increase the number of sets they can produce, or reign in the submissions somehow. I don't think the Bricklink program has functioned well enough to alleviate the pressure.
Whatever it ends up being, I just hope that it isn't yet another licensed property.
Red London telephone Box would be iconic. Also Mushroom House could be redisgned as Smurfs Mushroom House.
1. LILO & STITCH - LEGO will either skip it entirely, or go all out like with the Home Alone house. Since it's probably the most popular licensed submission in this review, it'll probably be the one and only thing approved.
2. INDIANA JONES, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK - This would be such an amazing set. Unfortunately I can't see LEGO touching Indiana Jones until that 5th movie is coming out (if that actually happens).
3. MOTORIZED STEAMPUNK SKYSHIP - As cool as this looks, LEGO still has an apparent grudge against steampunk. Not a chance.
4. AUTO REPAIR GARAGE 1930S - This subject matter is probably too niche for a set that big and costly. Stranger things have passed review, though, so this might have a slim chance.
5. ESCAPE GAME: CARTER'S SECRET - Apparently this isn't based on a licensed property; the designer created his own escape room game that people were able to play online. This would be a really cool and unique concept for a Lego set. That's how I know LEGO will stupidly ignore it.
6. FISHING IN MUDDY WATERS - Textbook example of a great MOC that isn't suited for an offical set. It would have to be redesigned to get rid of all those complex maybe-illegal techniques, and lose the look of the original. Not a chance.
7. LISBON TRAM (ELÉTRICO DE LISBOA) - This might have a chance if it's a widely known icon across South America. If anyone from that region knows more about it, please share what you know.
8. MEDIEVAL ALCHEMIST - Almost definitely no chance. LEGO wants their Castle sets to be cheery and colorful like their version of the Ideas Blacksmith Shop. This submission explicitly defines itself as having a dark, moody atmosphere. On the off chance this does get made, LEGO would completely redesign it and lose the original creator's vision.
9. WORKING ORRERY - AFOLS (including me) have wanted this for a long time. The style of this submission is similar to Ideas sets like Ship in a Bottle, plus it could be seen as educational, so I think this actually has a chance. I wouldn't bet on it, though.
10. JIM HENSON’S LABYRINTH: ESCHER ROOM - This movie is essentially a cult classic. Way, way too niche to sell a Lego set. Not a chance.
11. WORKING POLAROID SUN 600 LMS - Would fit LEGO's 18+ style sets, but I don't know if it's recognizable or quirky enough to sell. Maybe I'm too young to know enough about it. I'll say it's unlikely, but possible.
12. LEGO MUSHROOM HOUSE - The colorful style seems to be what LEGO is looking for, but they also seem to want all Ideas sets to appeal to adults, and I don't know if this would be that popular with that demographic. Another "unlikely, but possible."
13. THE ART CENTER - No chance. They've never approved a modular-compatible submission. It might have a second life on the Bricklink desginer program, though.
14. THE WORLD OF CIVIL ENGINEERING: TYPES OF BRIDGES - This would be a great, educational set, and I could actually see LEGO approving it, but it'll likely get rejected in favor of Lilo and Stitch.
15. UNIVERSITY OF BRICKESTER - Not a chance.
16. TUSCAN VILLA - Probably won't get approved, but has a decent chance on the Bricklink designer program.
17. TRADITIONAL JAPANESE VILLAGE - Would make a nice companion set to Ninjago City, but considering LEGO's track record with Modular-compatible submissions, this doesn't have a chance.
18. THE KRUSTY KRAB - SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS - Sorry, but the heyday of Spongebob is long past. I can't see adults' nostalgia being enough to get this approved.
19. VIKING VILLAGE - This would be a really awesome set, and based on the success of Pirates at Barracuda Bay, I think it has a pretty good chance. Most likely thing so far to be approved behind Lilo and Stitch.
20. SIKORSKY S-70I FIREHAWK CAL FIRE EDITION - Not a chance. If LEGO wants to make a fire helicopter, it'll be in City or Technic as something non-licensed.
21. MEDIEVAL GUARDED INN - Very similar to Blacksmith Shop. Honestly it's a toss-up whether that makes it more or less likely to be approved.
22. TASKMASTER - This looks like a British show I've never heard of. Mi
There are some great architecture builds, but I don't think any of the modulars or castle sets will make it. I can actually see quite a few of these having a high chance though. It's probably going to be boring nostalgia(polaroid or walkman), or a less interesting IP build(Charlie's Room?), but I could see cats(just one), Garfield, an Orrery, the turtle, the great wave, mushroom house, or the port winning. My favorites are the mushroom house, port, and tree. I have to agree that they really should do under $100 builds again. This is getting ridiculously expensive.
Steampunk Airship for me. Reminds me of Final Fantasy 6 (big smile).... but I imagine it'll be ludricrously expensive.
I don't really think it has much chance of happening, but a Taskmaster set would be a dream come true for me.
Mata Nui should have all the articulation and changing eye lights
Omg some of these are $1000+ with new pricing. Super cool, but the prices have just gotten too nuts for me. $100 for the new train station and $300 for the light house. Can't do it. I don't blame Lego...inflation was not caused by them -- I absolutely know who is to blame there. Regardless, the end result is my collecting days may be over.
I knew there would be a Great Wave set submitted following the success of Starry Night. Except I really am not a fan of the parts choice used to simulate the breaking wave. It just looks.....off. Also, Mt. Fuji is not blue and I think it should appear much more symmetrical and not make the same mistake they made in the Tokyo architecture set.
When I saw the mushroom house, the first thing I thought of was the Smurf Village.
Not sure about this round. Most of this would be very expensive as a set and a lot of this seems like a reattempt at sets that already have been denied at least once.
I like the phone box as it is an iconic structure and would appeal to non-Lego customers; my partner would love to see the cats made too - similar reason as it appeals outside the Lego fanbase.
But all are superb in their own way!
@CCC said:
The cats are quite nice but you build the same thing twice in different colours, so twice the price it could be.
Maybe the set could be one cat with additional parts to choose the colors/type/breed?

7. LISBON TRAM (ELÉTRICO DE LISBOA) - This might have a chance if it's a widely known icon across South America. If anyone from that region knows more about it, please share what you know.

Last I checked, Lisbon was in Portugal... which I think is still part of Europe.
I want them all, especially the Clockwork Solar System.

Is this a second Viking Village submission, revised after the first one didn't make the cut?
I'm seeing a lot of fantastic builds, but I'm not sure I'm seeing any potential sets for release. Several of these seem like good future Bricklink Designer Program candidates.
A great batch! Finally a significant number of good non-IP builds. They still tend to be too big, wish there were more smaller ones, but there are a few here I’d consider buying.
Good luck to all the contenders!

Yeah, I almost get the impression that some of these are designed not with Ideas in mind, but the Designer Program. The latter has much better odds, after all.
There are some complex and beautiful builds in this group, but many look just too complicated and piece-heavy to work out as saleable.
The ones I would happily buy are 24 (London Phone Box) and 7 (Lisbon Train). I'd love to have 32 (Chinese garden) too, but it would probably be too expensive for my budget.
If I had to limit myself to one purchase the working log fume ticks all the boxes for an interesting different build, cool animated display and plenty of play appeal.

First one is already confirmed to be a Target / LEGO shop set.
https://brickset.com/article/80321/ideas-fan-vote-result-revealed
This is a different submission.
I'd get an A-Team van easily--it even looks to be 8-wide so would fit in speed champions scale. I love those orery builds, but I feel like we already saw one last round--was it given a temporary pass to the next round? As for the others, I could see the Polaroid or Walkman getting made. Lego seems to be on a vintage true-life objects kick lately. While I wouldn't vote for Terraria, it reminds me a lot of Lemmings, and that actually might make a fun set.
Lots of great models this time, it's really hard to pick a favourite but I'd have to go with the Taskmaster House, although I understand it's a very niche choice (surprised that a couple, or 3 actually, US posters have mentioned it above, I thought it was a strictly UK phenomenon). One for the English speaking over 30s men out there I think ...
Maybe Thomas the Tank Engine, but apart from that a pretty boring selection overall in my opinion.
A-team Van would be immediate buy for me. Just like Labyrinth and the Goonies.
Furthermore fantastic builds all over. Really loving the retro Sony Walk-Man and the art center. Who am i kidding i love most builds. The mushroom house is also such a fun build.
Curious to see what they’ll pick.
A team van is a instant purchase and nightmare before Xmas would definitely be in first month ??
So many good options!
I'd absolutely love a Mystery Shack, with some upgrades from the Lego team.
Lots of great stuff here, but that Garfield set is easily my favorite. Here's hoping it gets picked!
My most wanted are the Krusty Krab and the Walkman, but I feel like the Mushroom House has a really good shot at actually winning, which I'd be okay with. Realistically, that Garfield set seems like too good an opportunity for Lego to pass up, especially at that scale, and the Great Wave is just the right kind of out-of-the-box pick they've been going for lately.
Clockwork solar system for sure. But in the unlikely event the A-Team van made the cut, I would be forced to buy it.
Lots of great MOCs, but only a few I feel can be turned into a good set.
My favorites that I do give a chance:
14. The World Of Civil Engineering: Types Of Bridges
37. Garfield – 2-In-1
9. Working Orrery
42. Sea Turtle
The ones I really like but don't stand a chance (or would be heavily revised):
4. Auto Repair Garage 1930s
7. Lisbon Tram (Elétrico De Lisboa)
10. Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Escher Room
13. The Art Center
23. Ski Chalet
27. The Old Train Engine Shed
32. Chinese Garden
41. Working Log Flume – Fairground Water Coaster
44. Clockwork Solar System
Some other observations:
3. Motorized Steampunk Skyship: nice MOC but reminds me too much of the Sea Cow
2. Indiana Jones, Raiders Of The Lost Ark - 40th Anniversary: I do like the idea but somehow it doesn't really capture it.
11. Working Polaroid Sun 600 Lms: I have the feeling I have seen this dozens of times already....
17. Traditional Japanese Village: As much as I love Japan, this feels more like a toned down Ninjago set than something actually japanese.
18. The Krusty Krab - Spongebob Squarepants: How often have we seen these?
21. Medieval Guarded Inn: Surf's Up!
26. Terraria: Interesting idea but needs some work.
28. The Great Wave Off Kanagawa: You can already get it on AliExpress...
31. The Treasury - Petra: I have a feeling I've seen better versions of it before...
33. Sony Walkman: Cool, but I just don't see them them do any other model than the original TPS-L2.
34. Golden Trumpet Tree With Park Bench: Hey look, a bonsai tree with a bench underneath! How original...
35. Heartstopper Charlie's Room: These TV-show sets just keep getting less and less inspired...
51. The Nightmare Before Christmas: As much as I love this, I have a feeling it wouldn't work as well without that background....
LOL…who knows what is gonna get picked or not? My guess record is kinda crap.
Cool stuff here though. The talent showcased here is…whoosh…really extraordinary…
Some wonderful designs, it is nostalgic to see Garfield as well many other great Ideas. May the best one wins the selection.
As they are now, I'd buy the Log Flume, Muddy waters and the Civil Engineering Bridges, Thomas, Solar System, Train Shed, Garage, edit: and Greek Temple, etc.
Most likely, the Walkman or Polaroid will make it, because commerce.
I'll just have me surprised at what will make it.
Generally, I do find the designs very nicely executed this round! I'd have a hard time choosing.
Almost all of these look super expensive, I wish there were more small but nice sets. I guess it makes sense since you don’t see the price when voting for an idea, and large sets look nicer
CLOCKWORK SOLAR SYSTEM FTW!
I agree that almost all of these look like they'd be extremely expensive if they were done at anything like the scale of the submission (and if they were shrunk or streamlined they'd lose their appeal). All the same, I'd buy--or at least seriously consider buying--almost any one of these if it were released. My top picks are Mushroom House (seriously cute--even though I loathe smurfs!) and The Great Wave. And I do hope the Designers' Program gets another round; there are a lot of pretty builds here!

To be honest it’s just an uninteresting house. Despite whatever historical significance it has, it’s ultimately a house that would have extremely limited appeal and isn’t all that unique even.
I can't say that of the (non-modular and therefore actually possible) submissions that I would be excited to buy any of these.
I think the Taskmaster house is very funny but it's much too niche (also Greg needs the new extra long legs).
The escape room looks interesting as a concept but I think it's unlikely.
I'm struggling to see what would actually get made into an official set without a lot of modification that would annoy fans.
I really hope the Ateam van is chosen, would be a day one purchase for me.
Always annoys me that they let so many get to review that'll never get built because of the need to aquire licenses.
Do like the Taskmaster set. Probably do better in Europe then worldwide though given alot of countries are doing their own versions of it there now.

I'd love to see Thomas, but as its own theme rather than an Ideas set. Can't just have Thomas on his own. And it needs a Johnny Morris sound brick!
Bluey and Lilo and Stitch please!
If you havent seen Bluey watch it imidiately, even if you have no kids, its basicly best cartoon I saw in 20 years. (and I see A LOT)
Lots of awesome designs so congrats to all the 10K designers - you are all very talented and I am envious of your abilities! My two favorites are the Armada Port and Night at the Museum - which just means I have doomed them both to not get selected :)
All right, cast your vote for which One (1) set you think will become the next Ideas set!
Seriously though, all of these are awesome. I would love to have that Sikorsky but I'll bet they won't do it to avoid offending that one German group again (yes, I'm still salty about the Osprey).
OH GOODNESS BLUEY PLEASE
here we go again; blah blah better-moc-than-set, blah blah licensed property, nice builds but none should pass, anything that does will be overpriced.

Thomas. Because Optimus Prime showed that anything is possible now.... nothing is off the table as far collaborations go. (Thomas is owned by Mattel)
I think either one of the solar ones will win, it's a classic "neo-adult" set vibe they're looking for.
Another option is the "Armada" as a "destroyed fortress" to complement the pirates idea set.
Rest - not a chance, or will be done by TLG as a non-idea set.
I really need that Mata Nui, Bionicle was most of my childhood into adulthood, and I feel like it deserves way more respect than it's been shown for more-or-less saving TLG
Polaroid & Walkman seem to be the best bets for on-trend sales to non-AFOL buyers. They're also the only ones that I can see passing internal review, and also the only ones I'm interested in as a regular Lego buyer.
My predictions (and kept brief because there's so frickin' many). Rated 1-5 on a scale of 1 = unlikely & 5 = quite probable, but also A-F on a grade of how nice it is to me on a personal level. (...because I don't want someone thinking that just because I think their set has NO chance means I don't like it.)
1 - Lilo & Stitch = 3C - Lilo & Stitch isn't my thing, but I know this movie has many fans who adore it.
2 - Indiana Jones = 2C - They have had the Indy license, but I'm not sure they'll use it for this. I'm not a fan of sets that are vignettes.
3 - Steampunk Airship = 1D - Steampunk fandom is waning. (Steampunk fans don't @ me. It's a fact.) This ship is just to big and has too much random junk thrown on to be appealing to the masses...or me.
4 - 1930s Garage - 2D - On the off chance they'd pick a 1930s auto garage from Ideas, they'd totally remake it as minifigure scale. Absolutely no chance this is ever released as non-minifig scale...which is my main issue with an otherwise great looking set.
5 - Great Escape - 1D - Neat looking house, but this seems to be a license which I'm not familiar with...which likely means the mass market has not heard of it.
6 - Fishing - 1A - This set is beautiful, but they just had the blacksmith shop, the Creator castle, and the 90th anniversary castle. I'm not sure they'll turn to Ideas for another castle set...even though it is so cool looking.
7 - Lisbon Tram - 1A - I would LOVE to have a trolley for my Lego rails, but I see no chance of this ever being produced. I may try to re-create this on my own as an old Boston MBTA trolley in a different color.
8 - Medieval Alchemist - 1B - See number 6.
9 - Orrery - 1D - Similar sets have never been produced. They'll pass this too. Submission 44 (see below) has a better chance, but not much.
10 - Labrynth - 1D - A set this size will not get produced for one of Jim Henson's lesser known works. The model lacks anything compelling for non-Labrynth fans.
11 - Polaroid - 1C - Didn't a team have to build on on Lego Masters? They won't pull this from Ideas. Also, "working" is debatable and I deducted a letter score based on that misleading name alone.
12 - Mushroom House - 2C - Looks like a Smurf house.
13 - The Art Center - 1A - I look forward to buying this on Bricklink...because there's zero chance Lego will put this out under Ideas.
14 - Bridges - 1D - They forgot Jeff Bridges and Lloyd Bridges. ...but seriously, unless you're a civil engineer, this doesn't have much mass appeal.
15 - University of Brickester - 1B - This looks really cool. Lego will NEVER make this under Ideas, but it's still cool.
16 - Tuscan Villa - 4C - There's a chance they might go for this, but I'd say it's more likely to be something on Bricklink.
17 - Japanese Village - 2B - Looks really cool, but seems unlikely to get approved.
18 - Krusty Krab - 1B - I don't think they'll go and re-license this.
19 - Viking Village - 1B - Aren't we already getting a Viking set?
20 - Sikorsky - 1C - This doesn't look like anything they'd approve for Ideas.
21 - Guarded Inn - 1D - The surfboards on the roof REALLY bother me. Also, refer to number 6...and re-read it again.
22 - Taskmaster - 1F - I honestly have no idea what this is supposed to be and the set isn't compelling enough for me to try and find out.
23 - Ski Shalet - 2C - They did a ski resort just a couple years ago. This is kinda neat, but I don't see it happening.
24 - Red London Phone Box - 4B - This looks nice and maybe they'd actually release this in non-minifig scale. I personally would not buy it though. (Make it a Police Box and then I would.)
25 - Witch House - 1C - Refer to number 6 and stop submitting medieval sets inspired by the blacksmith shop.
26 - Terraria - 1F - What? No. Sorry, will never happen.
27 - Train Shed - 1A - This set is beautiful and I've actually supported it, but I know it will NEVER get produced.
28 - Great Wave - 2D - I never would have predicted that Van Gogh's panting would get picked, so maybe they'll go for this too if the Starry Night sales have been good. I'd expect to see it totally remastered by Lego though.
29 - The A-Team - 4B - I wouldn't think they'd license A-Team, but they did for Lego Dimensions...so maybe?
30 - Gravity Falls - 2C - This set is a mess with just too much going on. I don't recall the Mystery Shack from the show having so much greebling on it.
31 - The Treasury - 1D - Neat. Won't ever be a set though.
32 - Chinese Garden - 1A - Looks amazing, but we just had a Chinese garden as part of their Chinese New Year sets last year. Nothing this elaborate, but still...it's been done recently.
33 - Sony Walkman - 4A - This set looks amazing. I think the chain as the carrying strap is a mistake and it should be left off, but if the thing opens and can hold a Lego cassette tape, this would be a cool set.
34 - Trumpet Tree - 1B - Nice tree, but this doesn't cut it for an Ideas set they're release.
35 - Heartstopper Charlie - 1D - Nope.
36 - Medieval Watchtower - 1B - I get that you guys like castles, but come on. Give it a rest. Also see number 6.
37 - Garfield - 2D - No lasagna?! At least he's not Dilbert.
38 - Armada Port - 3C - I suppose if they want a follow-up to Pirates of Barracuda Bay...
39 - Scrap Junkyard - 1F - I'd rather buy 75334 if I wanted a set that was a bunch of junk.
40 - Bionicle Tribute - 2D - I thought Bionicle were supposed to be colorful? WTF is this? Looks more like Iron Giant.
41 - Log Flume - 3C - How has Lego not done a log flume for the fairground yet?
42 - Sea Turtle - 2C - Nice looking MOC. Doesn't really belong as an UCS-type Lego Ideas set.
43 - Tatatouille - 1D - Looks bigger than a modular corner. This is way too big for the subject matter. Won't get picked.
44 - Solar System - 1D - Slightly better than Orrery (above), but will not get made.
45 - Bluey! - 4B - This show is amazing for kids. I've watched some with my son, but have no idea who the other characters are and think they should limit this to just the four family members.
46 - Goonies - 3D - Maybe someday they'd make a Goonies set. This is not it.
47 - Cats - 3B - These are great looking cats. Unlikely they'll produce this.
48 - Thomas the Tank Engine - 2B - This is a nice looking Thomas. Two problems: 1) They aren't likely to make Train sets for Ideas. 2) The TV show has been rebooted and is now animated in a different style than this set...and the show is so bad now that my train-obsessed kid couldn't even watch the reboot. (Occasionally he watches old episodes again, but NEVER the reboot of "All Engines Go".) FYI: They had previously licensed Thomas & Friends for some Duplo sets. My son loves those! (I had to get them off eBay.)
49 - Greek Temple - 2C - Not seeing either play or display desirability here. It's a cool MOC, but I don't see people rushing out to get this if it was released.
50 - Night at the Museum - 1C - Wasn't there supposed to be a 3rd film? ...or was that National Treasure. In any case, this will never get approved.
51 - Nightmare Before Christmas - 4C - I'm not a fan of this movie at all, but I know lots of people love it to no end (unlike Night at the Museum), so that alone makes me think they may approach Disney for a license for this. Would sell well if it was out by this time next year.
My son would like to know why there are no Paw Patrol sets being proposed. Get on that, people!

LEGO already got the license and used it to make the CMFs and BrickHeadz alike of Jack Skellington and Sally, so they would probably have an easy time producing the set if they picked it.
anyone else rooting for ed and edna's scrap junkyard?
The mushroom house and cats are sooo cute.
Can we get some ideas sets that won't be $250+?
Most of these have so many pieces.
Mata-nui Rises, The Old Train Engine Shed, Thomas the Tank Engine, the Log Flume and The Great Wave Off Kanagawa are all my favourites. Sadly I'm fully expecting none of them to make the cut.
I don’t get the Heartstopper hate… maybe it’s just a generational gap, but I know it is HUGE with GenZ. It has an amazing fanbase and it has been on Netflix n*1 trending for over a month when it released. The series is renewed for at least a second season and there’s a fifth graphic novel coming out (pun not intended) next year as well. During pride month the graphic novels were flying off the shelves. It’s a very wholesome series with great acting and it could bring a lot of new fans into LEGO. So I wouldn’t write it off that quickly. I’m afraid of the homophobic reactions (again) if the set does make the final cut though.
That being said, there are so many amazing ideas during this round. I would love a lot of the IP’s being made and there are some great MOC’s, so I really hope multiple sets from this round make it through. Maybe some of the bigger MOC’s will end up in the Bricklink Designer program.
Hopefully the A-Team van gets the tick this time, a quick couple of replies to points raised by others with this set, Yes it has been reviewed and declined before, however The Office got over the line after that person submitted it how many times?, the use of guns in The A-Team shouldn't factor since firearms are used in Back to the Future, Jurassic World etc and we still get sets from them.
I would like to see Thomas the Tank Engine and Bluey get over the line as my kids would love them.
As much as I am a Bionicle fan, sadly I don't think we will ever see a Bionicle ideas set ever
But at least I hope to see the "escape room" set been made
I'm surprised Escape game made it as it is already a set made in china called the time room ( a very slight difference) but I suppose Lego copying the Chinese would make a change.
Pretty sure I can't afford whichever wins.

This is the giant robot inside which much of the Bionicle storyline took place. It was a really big deal at the time because, though hints had been dropped over the years, it had not been explicitly stated that almost everything we had seen for the past eight years was taking place in / on / around this insanely huge robot. Seeing it rise out of the depths of the ocean in the web animations made a really big impact, which I think is why it's such a popular subject.
Still, it's not really the first thing I'd think of for a Bionicle tribute set, either.

What do you consider is essential in a set which is lacking in a MOC? To me a good model is a good model. When you say "set" do you mean a play-set? Ideas is mainly aimed at AFOLs, although that may only be in more recent times.

This was re-submitted, in an amended version, long before the Target vote. It may have even achieved the 10,000 votes before then as well. It won the vote convincingly largely due to the fact that it was the best chance of having a Viking Village made, even though I prefer this version. One hopes that Lego will eventually understand what buyers actually want if the same ideas are re-submitted and achieve 10,000 votes time after time.
A very good batch of submissions. The four I see with the greatest chance of being selected are the Mushroom House, the Telephone Box, the Cats and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
There are seven I would buy but will never be selected: Medieval Alchemist, The Art Centre, University of Brickester, Tuscan Villa, Medieval Guarded Inn, Medieval Watchtower and Armada Port.
And a further eight which I very much like but not enough to buy.
Lots of great submissions. I'd be particularly interested to see the Great Wave redesigned to be more similar in depth to 21333 Starry Night. The texture really captures the feel of the woodcut well.

I have no interest in these but agree that they tick all the target segment boxes and are therefore in with a good chance. Of the two, the Walkman demonstrates particularly well to non-FOLs what can be made out of LEGO. In contrast, the Polaroid’s shape lends itself more intuitively to being reproduced in LEGO and is therefore slightly less impressive.
Of all the shortlisted contenders, my favourite is the Mushroom House. But I don’t see it appealing to many non-FOLs and therefore rate its chances of making into production as remote.
Clockwork Solar system for me - something that shows off what technic Lego can do. It's very unlikely to get chosen - probably not enough potential sales for Lego. Some very good MOCs, but too many licenced models for me - anything licenced is just "meh" - no matter how good the designer (and there are some good designs).
I like the log flume - I can see that being something added to the unofficial funfair theme.
the mushroom house is the only one that draws my eye...

I explained my ratings at the top of my first post. (Had to split in 2 due to size.)
1-5 is how likely Lego would be to approve it. (1 is no chance, 5 is almost certain)
A-F is a letter grade on the built itself.
I rated each set twice because although something might be an amazing looking set, there's no chance Lego would make it. ...or the reverse: something might be likely to get made, but wasn't something that interested me.

So I wouldn’t write it off that quickly. I’m afraid of the homophobic reactions (again) if the set does make the final cut though."
I cannot see it getting made now. It has had one season so far, been out for less than six months, and would have got votes from people watching the TV show at the time so their interest might wane until the next series, then wane again. LEGO don't want instant popularity, they want popularity for the entire shelf-life of the set. It is also essentially just another sitcom set, a bit of room with the appropriate characters, so would be compared with the past ones such as The Big Bang Theory, FRIENDS and The Office. Is it as big as those series worldwide? I doubt it. It might also get compared to the Queer Eye set, as a LGBT TV show and that does not seem to have sold so well.
If it runs for another 9 seasons and gains continued worldwide popularity, maybe. But now, unlikely.
"
I think the series has more impact than you give it credit for. For example, today there was a conversation on a big Belgian radio station about books and when asked about impactful books, the Heartstopper graphic novels came up first. It really has a very strong fanbase, which is totally different from Queer Eye, so I’m still holding my hopes up that it’d get made!
Good luck to all the amazing creators!
I really like the set of bridges. I'd love to see more microscale stuff in general. I think it has a lot of potential whether doing stuff like this or the Disney Castle/Haunted mansion, or bigger sets like the Great Pyramids.

Where do you see "hate"? Because I don't see any...
I have never heard of it, but that doesn't say much since I watch very little TV and am one of the few people in the world without Netflix. So maybe I could even like the series, who knows?
But just looking at this submission, I basically see a minifig pack with some not particularly interesting looking side build. Is that really the best that can be done with this series? And that's my main issue with all of these TV series sets: There is just no creativity in it whatsoever, it's just rehashing the sets that have been before with another IP. At this point, can you even call that an "idea"?
I don't mind Lego making many more of such sets, but I think they can perfectly fine find themselves out which shows are popular enough for some zero effort cash grab. Keep Ideas for the creative stuff.

That being said, there are so many amazing ideas during this round. I would love a lot of the IP’s being made and there are some great MOC’s, so I really hope multiple sets from this round make it through. Maybe some of the bigger MOC’s will end up in the Bricklink Designer program."
The admins actually do an amazing job of removing hateful posts so if anyone says something nasty I’m sure it wouldn’t be on here for long. I’m sure it’s a great show but the set itself is ultimately just another TV show building and while LEGO seems to love doing those I feel like between the Queer Eye set’s poor sales and the consistent backlash against the Minifigure quality in The Office set they might step back on those a little. While they’re gonna do Indy sets next year that one tickles my fancy the most out of these, I never buy Ideas sets but generally I find the ones that rely more on an amazing build than just the brand name more interesting (although this can 100% include licensed sets).

The hard work shows and it's a nice build.
The idea is that people vote for sets that they actually want to buy.
Now you already have a nice number of supporters, so the question is: how many people have seen it?
Because 10 votes out 20 viewers is a whole different situation compared to 10 votes out of 2000 viewers. It could mean you need to promote your set more or you've done enough and there just isn't much demand for it.
The last two sets I've voted for, I found outside of the Ideas website. One was promoted on a website and the other I found while searching on YouTube for Lego roller coaster builds.

It seems like they’re doing this quite effectively by allowing fan input on what properties they should pursue up front. And it’s not like the TV sets are displacing other more imaginative builds. Look at the Blacksmith, Lighthouse, Globe, etc. We get more Ideas sets than we used to, fans who want these TV sets can be proactive and find each other instead of reactively waiting to see if what they want gets thought up inside LEGO, and there’s community building and collaboration happening regardless of sets being produced that can lead to more Ideas.
Seems like win win win to me. I also dare say they would spend more resources running a dedicated TV nostalgia line than they do picking some of those along with other good Ideas sets.

Like I said, I don't mind Lego making such sets. The thing that doesn't sit right with me is that getting your submission made into an actual set is about the ultimate reward for any Lego fan, and I just don't like to see these low efforts submissions win. Especially since so many actually creative ideas often don't even come close to 10k.
Also, just look at the The Office set. That same review round had two submissions for that exact same Idea, just slightly different executed. And if I remember correctly, the other one was actually first. Though probably still not the very first with that specific idea. Which makes it borderline plagiarism. I think Lego should either ban rehashes of existing ideas, or give shared credits to all similar but earlier submissions, regardless if they made it to 10k.
As for Heartstopper, I did see there's another submission posted on the very same day, that didn't make it to 10k but looks more interesting. For starters, it doesn't rely on minifigs, someone actually put in some effort. I've only watched the trailer of the series, but that other submission much stronger evokes the feeling I got from that.

To be honest it’s just an uninteresting house. Despite whatever historical significance it has, it’s ultimately a house that would have extremely limited appeal and isn’t all that unique even. "
I'm sorry that you don't find my project really interesting and that's okay.
But do you really think it's an uninteresting project in general
And if I may ask, what could I improve on that might make it more interesting."
It’s just an uninteresting house. There isn’t anything really unique or exciting about it. The only interesting thing about it is that it has historical significance. But that doesn’t mean it makes a good set to produce. Frankly you can’t make it more interesting, it’s just an uninteresting subject. A good build, yes, but not good for a set to be made for purchase.
If they don’t make the Bluey set, I’m packing my Lego in a garbage bag and checking them out the window. (Not really, but I would be pretty mad. :-P )
I would be a day 1 buyer of the A Team set. I love it when a van comes together.
The walkman set is splendid, the rest is what you would expect

Will the TV show still be discussed on Belgian radio stations in another 18 months or so, which is when the set would likely be hitting shelves. My point was that instant impact is not important. What they need is proven long term impact as they need it to be popular (worldwide) when the sets are for sale.
"
Since they are working on the second season and fifth book and they have a very strong fan base, I think the interest will still be there.
But of course only time will tell.
I’d be interested in any of the medieval/fantasy sets, as well as labyrinth, night at the museum, Petra, and the Greek temple.
Labyrinth is like my favorite childhood movie but I don’t think that will be picked, too elaborate for too niche a market I think
Night at the museum is really cool, but I’d probably only ask it as a gift, not but it myself
Petra may be considered religious, so probably also out of the running. The Greek temple would probably get out of that distinction given the length of time since any significant population practiced the religion, but also doubtful it would get picked either.
So yeah, my hope is probably for the guarded inn or the witch’s house. Frankly though I wish they would just give us another actual line of castle sets. That fantasy era line with the trolls and the dwarves, in the Lego magazine they teased elves as coming but never went through with it? I want that back. Favorite line ever
Lots of great ideas and builds !
Love the sky ship, Petra, Lisbon tram.
Can easily see the London phone box being selected
Several nice sets this round. Would like too see a few pass muster. Lisbon Tram, Lego Cats, Garfield, Steampunk Skyship and Bluey.
The Great Wave or the Solar System would be day one purchases for me.
Bluey! Of course!

"Hopefully the A-Team van gets the tick this time, a quick couple of replies to points raised by others with this set, Yes it has been reviewed and declined before, however The Office got over the line after that person submitted it how many times?, the use of guns in The A-Team shouldn't factor since firearms are used in Back to the Future, Jurassic World etc and we still get sets from them.
I would like to see Thomas the Tank Engine and Bluey get over the line as my kids would love them."
This van is a good design, but I'd like to see it alongside Face's Corvette in a Speed Champions set.
And make it Classic A-Team, not the crappy big-screen knockoff.
While there are many good designs, in terms of what might actually get selected... I'd guess "Mushroom House", "Garfield", "Sea Turtle." The Mushroom house looks designed in a way that makes it already look like the style and price point of a real lego set. I wouldn't be surprised if that one actually made it.

I would be happy with that sized set and Face's Corvette too, but a Creator Expert/Icons sized set would be good too with functions similar in concept to what the Creator Expert DB5 had.
Also the original TV Series only of course, while I enjoyed the movie enough to watch it with my brain disengaged for a couple of hours it in no way beats or equals the original series.
Garfield, A-Team, and Mata Nui are the only interesting things.
The only ones that I would probably buy are the greek temple and the clockwork solar system, and I don't have a ton of hope for either making the cut, but there's definitely some cool stuff here!
A lot of these near 3000 piece sets would look great at a Lego show or on display in a toy shop, but unlike UCS sets they don't scream spend $300 dollars on me or you will regret it in 10 years time.
Thomas was done in Duplo (so never say never), but looked to much like a poor quality knock off of the official Mattel Thomas.
If recent years are anything to go off of, Lego will most likely do something where they can charge $100 to $400. So it will be highly unlikely they will do one of the smaller sets like Thomas the Tank engine or the A-team. And they have never done a licensed Ideas set as a GWP, so we will just have to wait and see if they stick with the trend or change it up
12. LEGO MUSHROOM HOUSE by JonasKramm Is super cute
21. MEDIEVAL GUARDED INN by xXgGhostXx Would go well with the Blacksmith
26. TERRARIA by JaoGosma Wouldn't buy it myself but, wow cool! I'm actually surprised Terraria is even allowed. Those eldritch bosses get gorey fast.
30. GRAVITY FALLS - THE MYSTERY SHACK by Minibrick Productions & TopLego8 Would be a day one purchase for me. If anyone here hasn't seen Gravity Falls yet you're missing out, its the best thing Disney's done all decade. Actually... scratch that, it's over a decade old at this point. Make it best of the last TWO decades!
37. GARFIELD – 2-IN-1 by Yang Yang I rewatched the "What the Internet Did to Garfield" video earlier this week. The "Garfield Phenomena" mentioned in it may have been a joke... but he was right.
39. ED AND EDNA'S SCRAP JUNKYARD by GenericStud This, but instead of doing the whole junkyard in microscale just to the Jalopy in full minifig scale.
40. MATA NUI RISES [BIONICLE TRIBUTE SET] by Axelford I still stand that this is the greatest plot twist in media ever, and it why the franchise has stuck with me so long. Given how many people suggested it I'm honestly surprised this wasn't the 90th set, it was the only thing BIONICLE fans agreed they'd be willing to pay system-prices for.
48. THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE by KaijuBuildz I was obsessed with Thomas as a kid and this set looks pretty cheep. Again, would be a day one purchase.
