City Advent Calendar - Day 2

Posted by ,

It appears we're off to a microscale start to this City advent calendar. It is easy to place on the mat, though, as it clearly doesn't belong outside! Let's see if the second build will be inside or outside.

We have our first minifigure! According to the box, this is Billy, and through a little sleuthing I found that this is Billy McCloud, who is the nephew of Freya McCloud, who we saw in the 2020 advent calendar. He's wearing the Twirly Hat that caused a lot of trouble on his birthday. Perhaps the build yesterday is one of his toys?

Billy is also carrying a letter, which could be a letter to mail to Santa. With that logic, I think we may consider this a festive build.

By in Germany,

International air traffic has been updated on Billy being a possible hazard in Lego City's airspace.
Flight control has re-routing worked out. Everething's fine.

Yeah, Billy was sucked into a jet engine.

2022, the new sky police junior is training as a mail delivery boy, before enrolling at the rumoured 2023 City police academy set.

Gosh, gee-whillikers! I guess this 1950s lil' boy is right at home in the vintage Winter Village. Still... meh.

Where's Jack Stone when you need him?

That is one messed-up looking helicopter. It doesn’t even have a tail rotor, so expect a rough ride with 110% chance of ralphing, assuming it even has enough lift to get off the ground.

Always nice to get a minifig. But would it have killed them to give another accessory? He's already got short legs, so it's not even a full-sized minifig! XD

Also went with “a letter to Santa” to convince our two year old he better be good or we won’t carry on building each day.

Disappointed he didn't come with that neat backpack piece, however, I'm glad he has school off for the holidays!

We opened ours today (day 2) and there was a rocking horse in there....picture was of the minifig though.

It would have been good to have had a post box yesterday for the letter to be posted in, rather than the helicopter.

Also, I've never understood those caps with the propeller on them - am I missing something?
