Star Wars Advent Calendar - Day 13

Posted by ,

Our second exclusive minifigure arrived on day twelve, which was a welcome surprise! Perhaps some accessories for Lord Vader will emerge on day thirteen, including his lightsaber.

Let's find out...

I suppose Darth Vader has little need of his lightsaber on the beach, so a bucket and spade are provided instead! The sandcastle version of Darth Vader's castle looks reasonable, capturing its essential pointed shape, but lacking details of the model from 75279 Star Wars Advent Calendar. Nevertheless, I think the simplified design works well.

Overall - Darth Vader's sandcastle is quirky and an enjoyable addition to this Advent Calendar.

Interesting. I remember this model from the LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation special on Disney plus. Finn built it on the beach at Scarif.

My only change would be some kind of trans-blue plates or even tiles for the water. But here we are.

That’s the worst Batman sculpture I’ve ever seen.

I hope he doesn't "choke" on the sand or his aspirations while on his holidays! Mind you it cost him an arm and leg to holiday on Scarif!

More like Pele Kalikimaka when it comes to Vader...

Oooh, I can't wait to run over and kick the bleeping thing over!

Edit: ok, this is funny. But, there better be something good tomorrow!

"I never really hated sand, up until now."

Why not? It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.

Momin's 10th option.

I'd like to think it was built by some poor Stormtrooper that then had to see it face the full rage of Darth Vader against sand!

This would be one of the best ways to trigger Darth Vader beside making a sand padme.

Or simply Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere.
