cheap tank treads!

By in United Kingdom,

The Bugatti is a bit meh.
But B models for all the three small sets. Nice.

By in United Kingdom,

The controversial frosty windscreen is back on 42148...!

Still waiting for Star Wars….

By in United States,

It's nice that they're turning to maybe more cheap sets than the super very extremely expensive sets that usually abound in Technic.
Or maybe they already have and I didn't notice.
It's still nice either way, since I am very lacking in Technic pieces.

By in Sweden,

That dump truck looks so much better than 42084 , not even a fair comparison.

By in United States,

Oh man, now I'm going to have to get Technic sets too...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Nice that there's more cheap and little options!

Well, it's out in the cold with frost and ice, so.. realism?

By in Poland,

A pullback motor set! I might get... a few.

By in Ireland,

The small sets are nicely done but I won't be buying Technic in 23H1...

By in Netherlands,

Dare I say the best of this bunch is the B-model of 42147?
(and glad these small Technic sets do still have B-models....)

Snow groomer in itself is an okay set, except for obviously that windscreen and the poor B-model.

Monster Jam sets aren't bad either, but neither comes close to last years' Megalodon.

And still a bit on the fence for the Bolide, don't like the real thing and this looks like a mess, but it does have the W16. And way too many stickers. I'm mostly surprised though at that side view picture on the back, which shows a terribly applied sticker on that front fender, and pretty bad stickers in general. Considering all other pictures seem to show a printed fender piece and way less stickers overall, I guess it's from a pre-production prototype? But how on earth did that end up on the box?

There's a Monster Jam Scooby Doo truck that would be a wild hit in Lego form.

By in Portugal,

The Snow Groomer seems like the perfect opportunity to get a decent quantity of otherwise (relatively) expensive tread link elements!

42147 and 42148 for me. Well, two 42127 as an excavator is a must-have for a dump truck.

Same here (only one each, though). And one giant Liebherr crane later during the year!

By in Norway,

That dump truck looks great!

Aside from the two smallest sets, all of these are licensed. I hope this trend does not continue.

Love those mini vehicles, especially the dump truck looks almost like something that can be used with a minifig, maybe snow groomer could fit a sitting fig as well.

By in United Kingdom,

I know it's based on a real stunt performer, but themeing a viscous-looking monster truck on such a good-natured dog breed seems a bit of a fail to me.

Best model of the lot seems to be the Dragon truck's B-model; a shame then that LEGO are too cheap to provide you with the instruction book!

By in United Kingdom,

All strong releases. Especially like the Monster Jam sets... growing into a very nice series.

By in United States,

That little dump truck looks fantastic.

By in United States,

Well, the snow groomer certainly has an appropriate B model, even if its proportions are a bit off.

My main hope is the Bugatti fits on the cart transporter. I have space for one more car on it, hopefully this will be the one to fill it out.
Also the dump truck and snow groomer are absolutely *adorable*

I'm definitely getting the two £8.99 Technic sets, I think they've been a strong point for LEGO for a couple of years now. They feel quite 'classic' and aren't usually dominated by gimmicks or pointless features. I might even have to get two of the truck to make that awesome-looking B Model.

The Bolide looks pretty good, too, and I would possibly get that on discount but I don't really have room for it.

By in United Kingdom,

Was hoping the Bugatti would be better, but the size/piece count are limiting I guess.

Still waiting for the 2023 modular ??

Gravatar
By in United States,

Review copies must have been sent out already as someone already owns all of them.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Any of these "Technic" sets have any gear-turns-another-gear action?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The dump truck has some useful panel and beam parts for the bed, and the B-model excavator looks cool for claw functionality with minimum pieces to get kids interested. The 42151 Bugatti Bolide looks most detailed with the new panel pieces, but will wait for the reviews.
