By in Austria,

The space for pencils is totally inadequate.

By in Poland,

With circular eyes it looks more like a representation of a seal than of an owl.

By in United Kingdom,

Seems a bit late to attract more people to the DOTS theme through a license, unless they plan on selling this beyond the 11 months supposedly left for the theme (9 when it comes out). It’s a cute build though.

So just like all LEGO pencil holders so far ;-)

By in Sweden,

Cute! Definitely interested in this if the price is reasonable.

Based on LEGO's statement, I suspect that "DOTS" type sets like these will keep existing under other themes, just not as a separate line.

My understanding is that DOTS will continue to be integrated with other themes, but there will no longer be dedicated DOTS sets. 41711 Emma's Art School was an example last year.

So, that's what they meant with "The future is DURS"

By in Germany,

This looks more like a sloth and the space for pencils should've been doubled at least.

I thought it was a ghost.

Adorable :)

Apart from the Owl theme ,
there seems to be no Harry Potter connection with this set .... at all?

Is the image of Hogwarts a sticker or a printed tile?
Unless the images hide a printed tile somewhere?

Looks to me like the hogwarts image is just a piece of scrap paper showing 'look, it holds paper and you can draw stuff using pencils held in the pot'
I imagine it is just there for the photo shoot and not part of the set (same thing with the pencils and paint brush also in that photo"

By the time you bought any Lego pencil holder, your budget for pens has dwindled to basically nothing - so, one pen maybe two pencils and the budget is spent...

I don't know about any of you; but to me, while these items (DOTS) are nice, the novelty would fade off rather quickly and its shelf life would not extend over a week - two max.

By in United States,

Is this what they were meaning when they said Dots and Harry Potter were joining forces? Or will there still be other HP dots coming?

I don't need this, so I can pass, but neat idea anyway.

By in United States,

I love how they did the eyes in the first additional image. Nicely stylized!

By in United Kingdom,

Could double as a wand holder.

"Superb owl."

It's coming up. Would you like to come to a real American Superb Owl Party?! Great times! It's a hoot!!

Jackie Daytona from Arizon-ya will be there!

Sigh... glad at least that these don't seem like they'll have any particularly interesting parts that I'll feel bad about missing out on. Still an indignity for the Dots theme to go out on a wave based on that of all things. In a better world the Harry Potter theme would be ending and Dots would be continuing.

By in United Kingdom,

Can't wait to buy the set.

Lego have been doing wonders with the Harry Potter theme recently with a lot of excellent sets and ideas.
