Huh. The Eve and Wall-e ones are the first BrickHeadz that I have actually been tempted by.
So cute! Love the vertical design in Cruella and the texture in Moana and Merida’s hair. Also, those big wall-E eyes are adorable!
WALL•E is a must-have for me!
These look really good! Much better way of celebrating than the lacklustre four pack. Moana has got to be one of the best BrickHeadz ever, but Wall-E and Eve is the one I might actually buy.
All of these look pretty great, actually. Cruella and Malificent 2-pack will likely prove quite popular.
Moana and Merida in the same pack is interesting. Guess they figured neither would sell well enough on their own?
Wall-E's giant eyes kinda make him the most adorable one yet.
Time to pick up some Brickheadz. Because goodness gracious are those Wall-E ones perfect.
The use of wheel arches for Cruella's shawl is amazing.
Wall-E is absolutely perfect and Eve looks great, though I wish her eyes were printed too. I get what they're going for but I think they needed the printing.
Definitely going in on that Wall-E and Eve, not only for myself but a few extra to move later (and a few for some family members).
OMG Wall-E and Eve! Need them so bad!
Eve's face looks a little off, but I guess it's to fit with the Brickhead style. Should be an easy fix. I feel they should be move inward just a bit.
I didn't like the first batch and I don't like the Walle and Eva, but the other two sets are quite appealing, even though I've only seen Cruella via films and with Merida through Once. Brick Headz are hit and miss for me, some work very well, others not so much.
As usual All great for me, excellent again Lego, Just bought all of the LoTR ones. I know she is a robot but wonder why they didnt use the traditional BH eyes in Blue for Eve?
I actually kind of love the WALL-E ones (especially WALL-E himself).
The others are fine.
Some of the better Brickheadz out there. The combinations are a bit weird though. Seems like you'd do a Disney princess paired with their villain or something.
Very good showing! Despite being among my favorite of the movies represented, Wall-E and EVE feel less good to me—they're decently accurate but don't seem to adapt that well to the BrickHeadz standard. Cruella and Maleficent have fantastic shaping and parts usage, though, and Moana and Merida are simply flexing on us with that amazing textured hair—as somebody who dabbles in custom BrickHeadz, full-bodied textured hair can be one of the biggest challenges to represent well, and these two knock it out of the park.
Wall-E!
That is all.
Wall-E and Eve first day purchase.
These brickheadz look great! Eve looks a bit off, but otherwise they have captured the characters effectively. I still won't buy any as I have never found brickheadz too appealing. If I ever get any brickheadz, it will be Ahsoka or Aragorn.

Yep. Day 1 purchase. And, I said I'd never do that again!

No way, the 676-piece Ideas set is larger and more detailed than the >100 piece Brickheadz? It's almost like they're products with completely different intentions
These look good. The only minor thing that I would change is to put Merida's hand on the other side of the arrow on the bow in order to accurately hold a nocked arrow like a fellow archer would.
For sure, all of them are a Day 1 purchase !
All of these are great!
If I wanted to collect Brickheadz these are surprisingly well done. Must resist. I really like the Merida & Moana set.
I wish they just rereleased Wall e set...
That eve looks so bad
I passed on the IDEAS Wall-E when it was $40, but $15 isn't bad for this pair; I may actually get them.

What an obtuse perspective. Almost intentionally goofy. Next you’re going to hit us with the truth bomb that the Architecture version of the Statue of Liberty is more realistic than the version from the NYC Skyline set.

I’ll probably switch the 1x4 plate with reduced studs for 2 jumper plates to get the eyes closer to where they should be. Still won’t be ideal, but it might look more natural
First time ever I see a Brickheadz and thinking... maybe (Wall-E and Eve) Maybe it is because those two characters have that shape in reality (although Eve should be a cylinder - Lego does have 3x3 cylinder)
Strangely, I also like the other two sets but this is definitely not a theme I buy at all.
WALL•E & EVE are top notch. The others are good as well, but I just don't quite get the pairings. Not sure why they don't just release them along. Plus, Maui would have made a wicked BH.
Wall-E & EVE look good as a pair, and I can understand the villains pairing, but Moana & Merida make no sense as a pair to me. A shame as my daughter is a big Moana fan, but didn't enjoy the movie Brave.
Moana and Merida are definitely spot on. But I think EVE would have been benefited from having more rounded features, specially on his body. The bottom looks way too blocky with those hard edges.
When I first heard about these I thought the villains set might be quite nice, even though I'm not really a BrickHeadz fan. The Wall-E set had potential but Moana/Merida didn't appeal at all. Now I see them Cruella and Maleficent look excellent for this style, and Moana/Merida are surprisingly good, mainly due to the hair as mentioned by several others. However, Wall-E and EVE are very disappointing. I see am in a small minority with that view but even with the limitations imposed by the theme's style these could have been much better. Of the four BrickHeadz sets so far announced for Disney 100 I would say the Villains set is by far the best.

And yet this little one seems to have no trouble holding their head up...
Sign me up for that Wall-E set too! Don't care much for the other ones, none of the figures seem bad but while I can understand the villains-combo, the other one doesn't make much sense to me.
Wouldn't a Dumbo brickheadz be awesome?
These might be some of the best Brickheadz released. Might pick up Wall-E and Eve, and the Moana and Merida looks excellent too. Just wish the Villains Pack was more interesting.

"I always have to smile when I read "Moana" since it sounds like a character from a Disney porn movie. So strange that they used to that name in English speaking countries, yet changed her to Vaiana over here. :-) "
If you pronounced it correctly you wouldn’t have that issue.
"
I have no clue how it's supposed to be pronounced but I see how it's spelled. And just like other huge fails, like in the car industry (planning to call a Rolls Royce Silver "Mist" in Germany or a Mitsubishi "Pajero" in Spain) this just begs to be ridiculed.
I must say to my ears Vaiana sounds much better anyway. Such a nice flow to it. Moana, if it's pronounced so not to sound like "moan", sounds like the noise someone makes who is just about to throw up ;-)
In any case, one of the weirdest Disney movie names I have ever heard. "
Moana (Moh-AH-na) is native Hawaiian. It's not like the name is AI-generated.
@monkyby87:
If you know what he’s alluding to, it doesn’t really matter how you pronounce it. Especially not if the name has already been trademarked in Germany.
@bananaworld:
Hey, Big Wall-E can hold his head up! He just has to set the flower pot down first, so he can use both hands.

Not necessarily. Depending on which version you have (or if you used the free upgrade kit LEGO provided), the Ideas Wall-E has no problems holding his head up.
This is going to make it much easier to piece together the Wall-E Ideas set from parts...
The villains are superb, and I like the little robots. I wish Moana wasn't in a two-pack with Merida, but all these sets appeal to me more than the original Disney four-pack.
I’m not keen on matching random characters together. My daughter would love the moana but she has no idea who Merida is. Feels like a way to get people to buy 2 instead of just the one they want. Why couldn’t they have done moana and Maui, and Merida and a bear?
Well well well... Finally a Brickheadz set that I actually want! Wall-E is super cute!
Usually not a fan of Brickheadz, but I really like the look of Wall-E and Eve.
Moana and Merida is such a bizarre choice. Moana alone makes sense since the character is still quite popular, but as far as I know Merida is among the least popular Disney protagonists of the last three decades and doesn't seem overly relevant these days. Moana being Disney and Merida being Pixar is also a bit odd, though most people probably won't know the difference. It feels kind of out of place compared to the other two sets.
@Meadius:
What? Brave won Best Animated Feature at the Oscars, Golden Globes, and BAFTA. It grossed over half a billion dollars, which is impressive for an original story that’s not a sequel. Merida is, I believe, the first Disney Princess whose story doesn’t revolve around catching a boyfriend/husband (technically, Lilo was first…but she’s also not a princess). Tons of young girls tried archery as a result of that film. Where it took a big hit is that it was followed seventeen months later by Frozen, which is still so popular that neither Anna nor Elsa have been inducted into the official Disney Princess lineup.
Disney Princess fandom does get very weird. Now that they’re expanding the lineup to include the entire world, one driving force behind an individual’s popularity will, of course, involve who someone most easily identifies with. For many, that’s going to be tied to who they look like, and for a lot of people that leaves a pretty slim field to pick from. Sampling from a wide array of world cultures means they can only touch on each one once before moving on, as compared to the early days when Western Europe was the sole focus (and the culture presented tended to be fairly generic, vs the clear Scandinavian influences seen in Frozen). I’ve even read that Belle has a shockingly strong following because she’s the only Disney Princess with brown hair. Yup, three redheads, if you count Anna (four, if you count Giselle, who wasn’t added because they’d have to pay royalties for Adams’ likeness), but only one with brown hair.
Of the official Disney Princesses, Brave is by far my favorite film, followed by Tangled. Both have unconventional but compelling stories. I like the visuals of Moana, but the film lacks a strong antagonist.
The build techniques in the Villains pack are great - love the wheel arches for Cruella's coat and Malificent's horns are perfect. The eye shadow on both is super effective too
Yeah, I don't really go for Brickheadz, but that Moana and Merida one looks pretty nice. Like Huw often says, characters with detailed hair really work the best in this format, and those two prove it. I agree that it seems weird to have a Disney and a Pixar character in the same pack (though it isn't like Lego haven't done that before with other Princess sets like 43203); but it seems to me like they just picked the two whose hair would be most fun to design.
WALL-E and EVE look cool too; WALL-E especially looks very cute, which isn't a word I'd have expected to use to describe a Brickhead before now.
Is the villains double-pack a *deliberate* reference to the line in the song from Disenchanted, where Giselle and Malvina sing that nobody ever would bother to tell a tale that includes both Maleficent and Cruella (in context, since one would be so far outclassed by the other)? It feels weirdly specific that they pick the exact two villains who the song mentioned... although that may be that both this and the song use them just because they're the most iconic villains. In any case, they do feel like the weakest entry here to me, but even they still have nice details.
Not going to get them myself, still. But I can at least appreciate them ^^
These are so good looking and fun sets.
@ThatBionicleGuy:
So there are twelve official Disney Princesses. Anna and Elsa don’t count (plus they already got theirs). Ariel was a 2-pack with Ursula. Snow White is in the upcoming 4-pack. Belle got a solo release. That left nine to go (at some point the entire lineup will probably be released). Cinderella and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) have simple hairstyles just because of when they were animated. Jasmine, Pocahontas, and Mulan also have fairly simple hairstyles for other reasons. Tiana’s hair is (ironically) fairly tame, but she does wear a few different accessories that could have been interesting to model. But seriously, if you’re talking a Disney Princess who would present a hair-modeling challenge that made even Merida seem easy, how could they miss Rapunzel with her yards and yards of tresses?
Regarding villains, the Evil Queen from Snow White ranked tenth on AFI’s list of top villains. Cruella landed at 39. The only other Disney villain on the list is “man” from Bambi (20). However, even with the poison apple, the Evil Queen in her hag disguise wouldn’t be very recognizable, and it’d be one very boring design. At present, Ursula and Captain Salazar are the only two Disney villains to get this treatment. Syndrome would have made a distinctive model, as would Dr. Facilier. But for how distinctive they appear on screen, most Disney villains would look exceedingly boring as Brickheadz.
At first I was really enthousiastic about EVE and WALL•E, but then I read on the LEGO website that WALL•E's eyes and logo are stickers. I always assumed Brickheadz elements were printed.
That's a big con for me, because lining out the stickers on the eyes will be a tedious job.
@Tc99m:
Typically they have been, because there aren’t any minifigs in the theme to chew up the parts budget.
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=P&catString=160&tmpCatID=903
Currently, 13 other Brickheadz sets use sticker sheets. Eight of those were used for the bases on the pet 2-packs. Two were player numbers for soccer Brickheadz (where including every possible number combination would have necessarily increased the MSRP of the set). Two more were background scenery. And the last one was a spread of options for decorating the Go Brick Me set, where, again, it would have pushed MSRP higher. If this is true, this would be the first time stickers were used for facial features. Best advice on lining up the eyes is to place the tiles before you add the stickers, as that will help orient them to grid.

I'm really glad you pointed that out. That's ridiculous, and I don't think I'm going to buy them now. I just found out the Maleficent figure has a sticker too.

The images are usually pretty reliable. The 'Wall-e' logo is definitely a sticker. But, the eyes look like they're printed. I can't see any sticker ridges.

LEGO's official description says his eyes and torso are stickers.

Damn!
Worst case scenario those are four separate stickers for Wall-e's eyes :(
I like the Wall-E and Eve ones so I might pick them up.
