Jay's Brick Blog has uncovered another hitherto unseen set in a certified store website, this time in Mexico.

76422 Diagon Alley Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes contains 834-pieces and a whopping seven minifigures: Ron, George, Fred and Ginny Weasley, Romilda Vane, Lavender Brown, and an Owl Post Worker.

Converting the price in Pesos to USD suggests it'll cost about $130.

It won’t cost 130$…

Poor Ron, Always forgotten about.

By in Poland,

They should have cut 4 figures and add more to that small building

Weird way to phrase it, “exposed” but ok. Looks alright, but still waiting for Ninjago.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

On one side, I already have the large 75978 Diagon Alley set, so I really don't need this one.

On the other, it's a 16x16 vertical-split almost-modular building. I've been waiting for Lego to make something more in this form factor ever since 76108 Sanctorium Showdown - actually all the way since I modded my 10246 DO this way.

“What’ll this cost?”

“Five galleons.”

“No but really.”

“Five galleons.”

“But I’m your brother!”

“Ten galleons.”

By in Germany,

They should have made a Knockturn Alley set that can combine with the Diagon Alley one instead of another WWW. Or even better, the opposite side of shops so that when you buy the upcoming Gringotts Bank you have a complete Diagon Alley display.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Diagon Alley is still out and honestly the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes is the worst one to choose from all the available buildings. Why not something new?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Have masonry bricks come in that color before?

Gravatar
By in United States,

At least there's not ANOTHER Harry. I want to buy it just for that reason. Plus, you could use the pieces to add on to the big store.

It's an exposé taking down the corrupt practices occurring in Diagon Alley.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Might just be me, but this just seems like a waste of a set, why not Gringotts, Knockturn Alley, or the leaky Cauldron?

Gravatar

76388 Hogsmeade Village Visit costs the same as this set in pesos, so hopefully 76422 Diagon Alley: Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes will be closer to £79.99, $89.99 or €89.99.

By in Australia,

First Harry Potter set without Harry since the reboot?

Not counting the Fantastic Beasts sets of course.

It's a job finding synonyms for revealed / unveiled, which tend to get used for almost every other headline!

I wanted one beginning with W but I don't think there are any...

Certainly only seems like £70-80 worth of set. Looks like a good parts pack for a Halloween build.

You KNOW a neighborhood is becoming gentrified when one of the major retailers is a high-end novelty joke shop.

It’s right between the handmade dog treats store and the restaurant that only serves raw avocado.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I note that the official renders are showing how poor the colour matching is on stickers now. Not sure if that's a change but it was the first time I've noticed.

Odd choice of set given that 75978 is still on shelves, but I guess this makes it available to people for whom Diagon Alley is too big/expensive.

Damn! That interiors is flat! I'm more than happy with my 75978

"Weasley's Wizard Wheezes Unwrapped" would do the job.

Some of the moments sets dont include him, and a few others

Gravatar
By in United States,

I find this disappointing as they’ve been pretty good so far on this Harry Potter run at not repeating sets. I still haven’t picked up Diagon Alley so I’ll need to get that first and keep this new one boxed for now.

Except for putting a clock tower in every other set.

I thought they'd be in the Friends Apartments (10292), but apparently they are new.

Weren't they in the other WWW set?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love HP, it's literally my favorite theme. But I really don't understand why we needed another one of these, especially so soon. I mean, I'll likely get it and modify both into something better I guess, but still seems silly.

Whipped out?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Harry Potter was my favourite modern theme but I feel it's starting to fall off. I felt the orginal waves of the reboot starting in 2018 were a step above other themes in terms of quality and value but recently it's been extrememly dissapointing. With all the remakes that are coming too soon, strange gimmicky sets (books, house banners) and the most recent modular Hogwarts system sets, it really seems like Lego is running out of ideas. Although it used to be my favourite theme, I think they should let it die before it becomes anymore stretched out that it already is.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is this the biggest set with no Harry? I haven’t seen one without him aside from the polybags and gimmick-based House/Classroom sets in forever.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I misread the title. I thought it said Weener instead of Wheezing. So I was a bit shocked before I reread the title.

As for the set, I reserve judgement untill we see the innards.

Gravatar
By in United States,

After Brexit, the Owl Post has been so underfunded they've taken up residence in what appears to be a disused refrigerator. Local postmaster Globney Dumbleass made the switch after a suggestion from an American archaeologist.

All of the Lego iterations of this structure have been inferior to the Mould King 16041 in my opinion.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Absolutely hideous with exceptionally ugly stickers. I can't imagine anyone other than the most diehard Harry Potter fans and the most desperate city builders to buy this. It's not even all that great a parts pack; there aren't a lot of those lavender masonry pieces, and the only thing you get a usable amount of are those orange windows, which you're probably better off buying in bulk through other methods.

Gravatar
By in United States,

You'd think a company that wants to appear progressive would stop making these sets

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looks like a decent supplement pack to the Diagon Alley set as a number of the stickers and accessories are different from the WWW in that set and a number of unique minifigs too. If you can manage having both, this could provide some useful pieces for expanding on the original. Needs to be at that $100 price point or less though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

So they can cancel Overwatch 2 sets, and the temple of doom, but HP makes the cut?

Yawn.

These sets?

Gravatar
By in United States,

@axeleng:
So, do you think this spells the exit for Diagon Alley, or are they going to let both of these sets sit next to each other on the store shelves? Because honestly, that's going to make this set feel hella redundant, unless you're enraptured by the Owl Post, or a minifig completist.

@TheOtherMike:
Sure. There's 20 1x4 masonry bricks in the other this exact same building that came out 2.5 years ago in 75978.

@Huw:
The best I can find on thesaurus.com is "watched".

@Zayzon:
Three of the banner sets, too, but those ones are strictly grouped by House. The House-oriented Moments sets had one professor and student of the associated House, plus one token Gryffindor to make sure they didn't feel left out with all the attention others were suddenly getting.

Gravatar
By in United States,

For the record, the largest Harry Potter set that does not include a minifig of Harry Potter is...76391. It's also the fourth-largest HP set at 3010pcs. It comes with Gold Dumbledore, Gold McGonagall, and Gold Hagrid. The next largest set that includes minifigs, but not a minifig of Harry himself is...this set.

@TheOtherMike said:

In the big Diagon Alley set, yes.

That said, working on MOCing the entire Alley over the next couple of years... started with Ollivanders but I guess I'll go out of order since this will (hopefully) cheapen the price of Lavender bricks. That and the stickers for the various products will be readily available.

Owl Post is an odd choice. It looks inspired by the one in Universal, but that one is in Carkitt Market.

I think I might just get the minifigs on Bricklink. Don’t feel the need to purchase this when I have the far better version from 75978

@PurpleDave: That explains why I wasn't sure: The closest thing I own to a large HP set is 75952.

By in Portugal,

I will like to see a comparation with diagon alley. The scale dont look the same. I have it and i dont see a need to repet it. If they sell diagon alley in 4 separated boxes so people can buy it more easy could be good. But this dont see a need and after buy almost every lego harry potter i will skip this.
