There's pretty comprehensive coverage of most themes over on ToyArk, including pictures of the Ghostbusters set.

The Summer Star Wars line looks impressive, I'm glad we're getting a new snow trooper and I love the new Cantina despite the size. The ghostbusters set also looks brilliant. Shame there wasn't any images of Smaug :(

Star Wars sets look very good - like a lot!

Will have to get a Ghostbusters set too

Ultra Agents sets look awesome, though I would have liked better pictures with the Chima and Ultra Agents mini figures ;)

Seems like they just got lazy with the weapons on the B-wing. The wing tipped cannons are just a single piece and the lower cannons and WAY too short.

To bad there weren't any images of the new hobbit sets. Really wanted to see Smaug.

Amazing sets! The Summer SW sets all look great, and I am glad to see the OT get so much love(my wallet is not glad however). The Cantina set is much nicer than I expected, and I love the Dewback and the Obi-Wan Kenobi figure. Finally, another Greedo, and the Modal Nodes! The ISD is nice, because I need one, and I don't want to pay through the nose for the old one. I have an AT-AT, so I can save on that one, and I have Snowspeeders, so I will just buy Dack in the aftermarket. I am also impressed by several of the Marvel Superhero sets, and will probably purchase most of them. Am I wrong to say that the X-men set needs a little work? I don't mind the Sentinel, he is okay, but the Blackbird is a little lackluster. The minifigs are completely awesome though.

By in Germany,

Is it just me, or does Benny's Spaceship come with a pre-broken Classic Space helmet?

EDIT: Nevermind. :P

It bothers me that they managed to completely skip LEGO Friends. At least I know that BZPower took the time to cover that.

By in Hungary,

To be honest, the B-Wing looks awful to me. I was really looking forward to it, but it just doesn't satisfy me as the other minifig-scale fighters (or I've just expected too much after the UCS model :) ). Don't see the improvement there...
The ISD is great (instant get), the AT-AT's not bad either. Going to fix it up with a few pieces, as despite the high piece-count, it's just not detailed enough for me.
Also, my feelings on the Cantina is mixed. Love the dewback, and also the minifigs are cool, but the landspeeder... I already have 8092, so I don't want another one - not to mention that the color is wrong again... At least they should've mixed the right resin-color for that one.

Enough of my whining, of course I'll buy them all - except the B-Wing maybe -, but I'm looking forward to this year's UCS the most. :) Oh, and we need a minifig-scale TIE Interceptor & Bomber badly!!! :)

Aw man I was pumped when Brickset had the AT-AT listed at 1,138 pcs. I wonder if they switched it to 1,137 on purpose.

That X-Men set looks amazing, not so much for the jet, but the minifigs! Holy cow! Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, and Magneto in one set? NICE!

I just got a red Mixel at Walmart today.

I think I might be going against the grain here, but the OT Star Wars sets look pretty poor to me.
It's what I was fearing, EVERYTHING being redone with the new spring loaded blasters, just to get them in and not because there's anything better about them.

The B-Wing looks fragmented to me. I don't think it can be done in minifigure scale, I'll probably stick with my modified 2006 version (modified illegally non-stud on non-studded symmetrical main wing).
The Snowspeeder seems a bit chunkier, but is it just the new droid heads making the guns thicker? And why is the distinctively orange-trimmed vehicle grey again? Still, at least there's a gear on both ends of the tow cable winder at long last!
And the AT-AT looks like they've just taken the 2010 vehicle, thinned out the legs but somehow made them look bigger, and taken off the decent trim (on the cockpit that now looks too big) and added clumsy bits (all over the main body armour).

The Star Destroyer at least looks decent, much, much more coherent than the previous UCS version. And apart from the lazy Landspeeder (it's just the 2010 version with a few stickers, which is worse!) the Cantina set looks pretty good.

And the fantastic and ever growing recent standard of minifigures seems to have fallen in on itself. The B-Wing figures look great, but those new Snowtroopers may be more movie-accurate, but they look less Lego to me, and the AT-AT Veers just looks older with all the extra detail lines!

I think the range has hit a ceiling, so it might be time to stick with the versions I've got and only buy the genuinely new sets. All good things, eh!

Yet ANOTHER V-Wing???

@grimdrag: I have to say, the new cantina is a lovely set in my book. What's wrong with the color? I was going to say that a color as accurate as the Sand Red in 4501 wouldn't be possible, but then I did a Google image search and realized that the Medium Nougat used in the new one might actually be MORE accurate. Compare the color in these images:

http://static.squarespace.com/static/4f209325d09a4f024c85b060/t/51faa7aae4b002b80b1d9645/1375381425015/tumblr_lfgi6b2Eea1qzelhwo1_1280.png
http://www.panelsonpages.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/IMG_0430.jpg

The cantina also manages to improve on 4501 in pretty much every other regard. The cantina itself resembles Tatooine architecture, not a sorry excuse for it, and has an actual bar, not a sorry excuse for one. Value for money is also better — I'd rather buy a set with a little over 600 pieces for $70 than a set with a little under 200 pieces for $30. Of course, 4501 and other sets of that era really set the bar low, so it's no wonder so many recent redesigns surpass them.

I've heard a lot of criticism of the B-Wing, but I definitely think it's the best likeness to date at standard "minifig scale". The spring-loaded launchers are nice and inconspicuous when not loaded with ammo, and the wings are reasonably flat rather than absurdly chunky like 6208's. The cockpit is a small improvement on the one in 6208 but an improvement nonetheless, and the engine module looks fantastic. And the wing cannons, while simple, remain effective. This ship was definitely due for an update, and this set delivers.

The snowspeeder wasn't crying for a rerelease as badly, but an update is more than overdue — we've been seeing the same basic design with only minor changes since 2007, and that only made slight improvements on the 2004 version. This new one starts to show some more significant changes. The angle of the wings has been restored to the 1999 standard, making the overall shape less rectangular. The cannons and engines are more detailed as well. Overall, the changes seem slightly minor, but I can't help but love models like this that stay more or less the same as their original design (from back when I still collected LEGO Star Wars) but take great strides to improve the accuracy of the overall shape and details.

It's kinda disappointing that there's only one new X-men set yet there are three new spider-man sets this wave alone. I'm a big fan of spidey but there's so much more potential for X-men sets.

hmmm... the star wars sets look good... i'll get several of them, probably some of the HF too...

Why has nobody bothered to take pictures of the Guardians of the Galaxy sets? They're the ones I was most looking forward to seeing, and it seems like they only ended up in people's photos by accident. I still don't know what 76019 looks like, and we've only had oblique grainy views of 76020. Do people just not care about the sets, or not realize that they're new?

I've also been looking forward to seeing the inside of the Star Destroyer, but I guess nobody was allowed to take the top off? Disappointing.

By in United States,

They were not allowed to take pictures of the GOTG sets for some reason. thebrickfan.com had the descriptions for the three GOTG sets. There are a few pictures that show the Knowwhere Escape Mission set in the background (brickshow has it in their video of the X-Men set.

Milano Spaceship Rescue. Includes 5 minifigures: Star Lord with removable mask, Gamora, Drax, Ronan, and the Searcher.

Starblaster Showdown – Includes 2 small ships and 3 minifigures: Star Lord, Searcher, and Nova Officer.

Knowwhere Escape Mission – Includes 4 minifigures: a brick-built Groot, Rocket Raccoon, Nebula, and, a Searcher. Set includes a tower and a wheeled claw vehicle for Rocket Raccoon.

I am also disappointed in the X-Men set (mainly the vehicle). Can Lego please make a variant of Spider-Man? Black suit or Peter Parker like the Clark Kent that came with the Batman Movie. Guess we are going to have to wait for Avengers 2 sets to get some more great minifigs after the GOTG sets. Those look awesome to me.

Shouldn't the Arctic sets really be called 'Antarctica'. That's where all the (scientific) action is. Anyway, fine looking new sets.

By in Hungary,

@Aanchir: I just don't know. These images you linked are truly alike in color.
The ones I found were more pinkish or what. :)
Anyway, I still think they should've separated the Cantina and the Landspeeder as two sets. Just doesn't make sense to have another one, while I love the Cantina itself.

Edit: early monday morning problems with grammar. :)

@Aanchir + everybody:

This is really the only site worth looking at for toy fair photos, you amateurs ;)

http://toyfair14.asmzine.com/gallery/lego/friends-disney-princess/index4.html

(Specific link for Aanchir with the Friends sets, obviously click on "lego" in the top bar for the full offerings. Close ups on specific figures and all that good stuff. Seriously, why am I having to point this out? I'm sure I found this website through a lego fan site years ago but every year people link to astoundingly inferior coverage...)

First post for me!

Why has pictured Hulk still got brown shorts? I thought new Hulk box art showed him wearing purple?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

For me Cantina set and Benny's spaceship are some of the most impressive. The cantina oozes some great minifigures. Is there any pictures going around that has set closed up?

By in Canada,

@joedapoboy: Thanks so much! I've been keeping any eye out for sites with Toy Fair coverage all day but forgot about that one. They used to have some of the best coverage of BIONICLE sets back in the day. Good times.

There are some great, high detail photos of the Friends sets there! I can't wait to see what kind of photos they have of other sets!

By in United States,

lego.com has all the new marvel sets for order (except the Guardians of the Galaxy sets and X-men)

Storm would have been better if she was like in the game .

By in Germany,

That at at is on my hit list. I've wanted one forever and I don't want to shell out 300 bucks for an old one.
