Marvel Advent Calendar - Day 12

Posted by ,

As we reach the halfway stage of this Avengers Advent Calendar, I think most of the items have been satisfying, albeit rather lacking in direction when compared with the other licensed Advent Calendars.

Predicting today's item is thus difficult...

Again, this workbench feels only tangentially related to the last couple of items from the Advent Calendar, although I do like the use of a 1x2 profile brick underneath. Also, the golden crowbar and toolbox are welcome accessories, but neither are particularly rare, so today's model offers limited appeal.

Overall - This workbench looks fine, but could have included something relating directly to Tony Stark, such as a tiny arc reactor or Iron Man nanofigure.

By in Australia,

I think I would've preferred another jet pack.

I haven’t got this advent calendar, but I honestly find generic stuff like this very useful to have.

This could also be fitting for the City Advent Calendar.

The Marvel equivalent of a weapons rack

If they're going to go this low in parts for scenery, at least put it on another 4x4 bley plate with clips so it can connect to the fireplace and wrapping station.

A tool chest and the crowbar necessary to open it because you lost the key to the lock.

I Think the direction of this years Marvel Calendar has been fine. A good merge of Christmas feel (which the former calenders lacked) and Marvel stuff. Todays gift was the first I wonder what purpose it served. It seems like a poor work bench for Rocket.

It seems we're dedicating this calender to Batman's hobby corner of his Batcave. We've had a costume making station, a forge, and now a table with toolbox and crowbar. And who can forget the Bat-Jetpack for Steve Trevor to wear?

Who knows what exciting superhero builds we'll see next...

Isn't that every day in a Marvel AC?"

No. Sometimes they spread them out over multiple days, so technically only the last day counts.

I agree on the whole, though I think the distribution of items could have been better. I prefer calendars where they focus on a certain topic or character for a few days and then move on.

However, I have found this Advent Calendar better than the two earlier Marvel efforts so far.

Here it is. Mr. Robot left his LUNCH BOX on the dinner table.

It's a shame they couldn't have done a new colour for the tool chest, considering it could have easily made it's way into City or Friends sets.

Ah nice! A traditional Christmas toolbox.

Curse you, He Who Remains Kang, for dooming us to the timeline where today's advent calendar entry is a random toolbox and crowbar on a table.

Unless this crowbar is a deliberate reference to Gordon Kangman from the MCU/Half-Life crossover in Avengers 299: Unforseen Kangsequences, this is a pretty pitiful little build.
