Marvel Advent Calendar - Day 20
Posted by CapnRex101,
Although the connection was fairly tenuous, the desk and apple that arrived yesterday relates to Doctor Strange, whose minifigure appeared the day before.
On that basis, maybe another model associated with the Sorcerer Supreme will come next...
In fact, we return to Captain America with a fun rendition of the Hydra train from Captain America: The First Avenger. Toy trains have often appeared in Advent Calendars and this is an ingenious way of including one here, complete with a nanofigure depicting Captain America on top. Ideally, this figure would have been printed and I would rather the train and carriage were connected, but the train is nicely designed, nonetheless.
Overall - This is a creative addition to the Advent Calendar, but could have been elevated to true excellence with a decorated Captain America nanofigure.

Engine and carriage not connected is a joke.
At least they didn’t split them over 2 days.

But how could they do that when there were so many tables they had to include?
The train was actually from The First Avenger, but that’s how Winter Soldier was created so close enough. Looks like a great little model, but I also wish they would make more printed nanofigs

If you can figure out how to do that in this scale, please advise. The roller skate pieces don't allow mini-train builds like this to directly connect, particularly if you're putting them on adjacent studs. Mini-trains have appeared in City calendars and the same issue occurs.
Sure, you can join them with a 1x3 plate, but then you're making the train needlessly taller.

"TABLES!""
I know that my favourite part of the Infinity saga was all the tables.

Sorry, I was thinking about whether Captain America would really appreciate a toy train inspired by the scene of his best friend's apparent death, so blended the titles together! Thank you.
It's the Bat-train! With mini Steve Trevor on it.
Finally a build in black and very very dark gray!

So tomorrow is going to be a clear 2x2 radar dish with a nanofig placed head-first in the stud?
I forgot to open my calendar until I saw this post; I had to rush down and open it before reading. Okay build. I thought it was just a generic toy train build and was going to make a joke about it being a reference to the Captain America of the rails. I forgot about the train scene from the movie.
Ugh!!!
Bit morbid considering that's where Bucky died
Thought it was a reference to the end fight of Ant-man at first. Guess making a mini Thomas the tank engine might have required extra licensing.
Meh, could be worse. I like nanofigs.
@Judgeguy: Consider that the first Marvel AC had a tree topped with the Infinity Gauntlet. You know, the thing Thanos used to kill half of all life? Compared to that, this is pretty tame.

Technically he died several dozen feet _below_ this, and technicallier, he obviously didn’t die.
The UNCLE SAM SNAKE is here!
