Friends Advent Calendar - Day 17

Posted by ,

Our scene is really starting to take shape with the addition of yesterday's train, ready to put under a tree (assuming we get one). As we head into the last third of the calendar, I'm looking forward to seeing what other pieces we'll add.

Today is another nice build, showing a standard holiday activity - making cookies! There's a table, with a stand mixer along with two ingredients - eggs and (perhaps) sugar? (I'm assuming not milk because the 1x1 brick isn't blue)

Regardless, this will fit nicely on the playmat, and also shows something that the whole family can do together.

If it was milk then that colour suggests it’s skimmed milk, aka vaguely white coloured water. Better hope it is sugar!

Why not flour?

A cool build, but at this point I'd expect something festive

Pretty much. The heater is bigger than the bowl, so no way this is going down cleanly. Even at the lowest setting, that bowl is about to be empty.

I like the fact that the stand mixer can actually lift. That's a nice little build there.

I was about to run that through Google Translate, then saw the second line and got the joke.

I've always called skim milk "milk-flavored water, " but yeah, let's hope it's not that.

Great idea! I just ran it through Translate, and apparently what I said was:

'More, no, more. Living dee doo. Borjn they swore they dorn.'

Which still sounds like something he'd say.
