City Advent Calendar - Day 6

Posted by ,

Finally, our initial minifig has a companion, with the adorable skier we met yesterday. Perhaps there will be some more indoor activities for our pair (and the dog).

We have another small vehicle for under the tree! This time it's a sailboat, and comes with I assume is a remote control. I rather expect that this is intended to be 60438 Sailboat from earlier this year.

At least now both of our minifigures have something to play with.

By in Netherlands,

The shape makes more sense with the mentioned set next to it. Overall an okay microbuild.

Can't believe 60438 is already retired. Why do only the good die young?!

I actually had to look up the instructions to see how they did the sail. I don't know how I forgot about the 2x2 triangle tile.

I kind of thought a toy for the girl was coming. The micro builds are a bit of an off-day for us. Hoping we get a wheeled vehicle tomorrow for her to match the boy's skateboard. The big anticipation is for the stroller though - now that my little one realized it's on the cover.

Yesterday's ski poles have become hoses for washing the dog.

Let's all just take a moment to appreciate how AWESOME remote-controlled boats are.

This radio piece is so old.

How come my set 60438 is not an RC version? I need a refund!
Btw, it's a joke

"Ah. So this isn't some unfortunate skier's lost leg?"

Ha, ha, very good!

This is not very "Christmasy" but it is a nice addition to my LEGO collection.

Presumably it's included here as an (unwrapped) present--that's Christmasy enough for me!

Pretty sure that boat won’t sail, with the mast located so far astern.

Well, at least it's an easy fix.

True. 40487 took a lot more work to fix. I even just gave up on the sails, eliminated the jib altogether, and furled the mainsail onto the boom, which I lowered.
