Spider-Man Advent Calendar - Day 14
Posted by CapnRex101,
Exclusive minifigures are usually a highlight of the LEGO Advent Calendars and Miles Morales was a welcome addition yesterday. I would like to see something relevant to him today.
Let's open door fourteen and see...
Though not directly related to Miles, we finally receive exactly the kind of item I like to see in a Marvel Advent Calendar, with a clockwork iteration of Rhino! A clockwork Hulkbuster appeared in a previous calendar and Rhino is a perfect choice for this role, as the robot's stocky arms and legs suit his strong build.
The festive colours are slightly peculiar, especially with the red highlights, but I think the white chest and horn work well. Also, the robot is articulated and can achieve a nice range of poses, thanks in particular to the head rotation.
Overall - This is a clever idea for a Spider-Man Advent Calendar item and a well-executed one too.

I would love to see Rhino back in a full sized set!
Love the way the Exo-Force arms have been used, turning them that way to make his shoulders look burly. Could maybe have done with his colours being a bit more consistent, the attempt at working in Christmas reds and golds seems a bit half finished
I like it now that I know that it's a christmas clockwork rhino. But the colors were so muddled that I thought it was supposed to be a droid santa with inverted hat colors or something. At least, the white horn and red apollo stud reminded me of santa's hat only to confuse me what they were supposed to be.
So overall... a nice build, but idk of this was the right build to use christmas colors on. Maybe if they went all the way and made it silver-gray with red and green?
It’s going to explode!
While red, gold, and white are all traditional Christmas colors, they are not a traditional Christmas color scheme.
This is great, I might have a go at recreating this from my spare parts box.
That's cool. Can't deny it. Marvel AC has been a dumpster fire in the parts been since year 2.
But, this is fun.
