Spider-Man Advent Calendar - Day 17

Posted by ,

The mixed standard of 76293 Spider-Man 2024 Advent Calendar continued on day sixteen, with an oddly antiquated computer. I assume another piece of furniture will emerge next.

Follow the link to find out...

Fireplaces are extremely common in LEGO Advent Calendars and I quite like this example. The earthy colours are attractive and allow the stockings hung by the fire to stand out. One evidently belongs to Spider-Man and I assume the second is intended for Miles Morales, although I tend to think of Venom when black and white colours appear in Spider-Man sets. Either one works!

Overall - This fireplace looks lovely and blends the seasonal and Spider-Man themes very well.

Of course, who can afford to have a fireplace on Peter's salary? More likely, he'd have a radiator.

No complaints from me. It's festive, it's a decent-ish size. It fits Spider-man enough, so good job!
Or goo job if it's venom's.

That said, I didn't even know that curved tile plate thing existed. They're making so many new parts every year...

If it’s Venom, isn’t fireside one of the last places he’d want to casually hang out?

I think that sets nowadays are given WAY too many frames.

I like the use of https://brickset.com/parts/6242241/plate-1x1-w-1-5-plate-1x1-upwards to give the stocking fur trimming.

That piece has been around since 2021. Although, yeah, the parts palette continues to expand. At least they're being more systematic about it then they were around the turn of the century. @PurpleDave has mentioned the multiple ways they did umbrellas back then that were mutually incompatible.

Yeah my first thought was Venom with the black stocking too. And given how the symbiote works that might just be a chunk of him dangling from the mantle
