Spider-Man Advent Calendar - Day 18

Posted by ,

The standard of items from this Advent Calendar has certainly varied and I was quite pleased with the fireplace that appeared yesterday. I think we could be due for a minifigure today.

Let's open door eighteen and find out...

It seems we have to wait a little longer for our next minifigure, receiving a table with some food instead. The pizza callback to Spider-Man's minifigure on day one is fun and I presume the red mug is supposed to contain milk, so Peter has left this and the cookie out for Santa. However, the table is very basic and even the accessories are mediocre, relative to various food-laden tables from the Harry Potter Advent Calendar.

Overall - Though the pizza tile is welcome, this is another disappointing item, in my opinion.

By in Australia,

I wonder if this is just a general trend for advent calendars.

Like, in a couple of years, it'll just be one or two pieces a day. The calendar will have a total of 30 or less pieces.

It'll be 80 bucks too.

By in Germany,

In a few years the calendar will only have manuals for your existing pieces.

If I was Santa, and someone left me room-temperature pizza to get food poisoning from, I’d fill their living room to the ceiling with coal. Ideally one giant, room-shaped piece, so they couldn’t even just start scooping up lumps to get the room back.

Also, is there another major review coming today?

And, it will still cost around $50.

Makes me miss the first few builds from this calendar which at least tried to be Spidey themed, with his hidden backpack and webbed up camera. This just feels like spare parts from another they’ve decided to offload, there’s nothing really festive or Spider-Man about it

That's it. The pizza should be printed on a 2x2 round jumper and then plug a spider onto it.

Hey, I *like* room temperature pizza, as long as it hasn't been sitting out *too* long.

Hey, if the pizza has a lot of spices, the milk will help cool the heat.

Nice reference, worst build yet :skull:

Despite a couple of comments here stating the opposite, I always have milk with my pizza.

Even the table's bottom looks shrunken to half the size of the table itself.

This is not for Santa btw, this is just Peter's only food for the day. The pizza was a leftover he failed to deliver (because Spider-Man stole his pizza!)
The cookie is rationed. And the cup is water. Just water.

Living in New York ain't cheap!

I generally go with soda, but I also find milk to go well with foods that have tomato sauce.

Same thing happened in Home Alone.
