First images of LEGO Jurassic World: Rebirth dinosaurs!
Posted by CapnRex101,Jurassic World: Rebirth will be released later this year and a trailer for the upcoming film arrived yesterday.
Images of some products based on the movie have been revealed today, including four LEGO dinosaurs via Collider. The image quality could certainly be better, but it is great to see a new Spinosaurus at last, 24 years after the first!
Also pictured are a Titanosaurus, a Quetzalcoatlus and a brick-built Mosasaurus, below...
Also, LEGO has posted a short teaser video on Instagram, showing the new Spinosaurus and presumably a vehicle from one of the sets, with Scarlet Johansson's character from the film in minifigure form.
What do you think of these LEGO dinosaurs? Let us know in the comments.

Call me crazy but I sure would have loved a moulded mosasaur.
Just doesn’t fit in with the rest as well :(
But sure love the spinosaurus !!
The Spinosaurus looks good. The Mosasaurus is a good brick build but looks out of place when the other dinosaurs are not brick built. I'll probably try and get the jeep by itself from Bricklink.
I don’t usually get the jurassic world sets (I’m a Jurassic park guy) but that spinosaurus, ooh.) I like the mosasaur too.
The new dinos look great! I love the Titanosaurus.
But boy, as huuuuge fan of the original movie it kinda stinks seeing the franchise end up as Just Another IP that Hollywood churns out some uninspired film for every 4 years or so. Literally calling it REBIRTH? Why, was JURASSIC WORLD LEGACY already taken from the Boring Soft Reboot Movie Titles folder? And the plot looks the same as THE LOST WORLD except now they need to extract Magic Goo from the dinosaurs to cure Bad Disease. I bet it turns out InGen 2.0 actually wants the Magic Goo for a Super Weapon and at the end ScarJo is all like "You're extinct!" and she kicks the Bad CEO into the Mosaurus' mouth or something.
Oh well, at least we get a steady stream of dinosaur-themed LEGO these days. If I were a kid, I'd be happy for that at least.
These dinosaurs look great
One of the rumored sets is supposed to be $25, and has a surprisingly good Price-Per-Piece ratio. I think the reason the Mosa is brickbuilt is because it's its own set
Wonder if the "mystery" creature in the trailer will also appear in LEGO form. Might be held back for the formal reveal, or until after the film airs.
Totally underwhelming :(
Finally a Spoon in Lego form! I hope the set isn't too expensive. But a mosasorauad as well. I don't really like the color scheme for the mosa. Two of my favorite carnivore dinos.
Better a brick-built Mosasaurus, than none at all. Besides, the Avatar Payacan whale was also brick-built except for the head. The Spino is long overdue.
the minifigure in the instagram trailer thumbnail looks cool, let's hope that's what it looks like in the upcoming sets
That spinosaurus looks fresh
Oh, that mosasaur is a delight! The texturing & colouring is wonderful.
I'm sorry to say that I rather despise the one-piece dinosaurs (and other prehistoric animals), which is not an opinion that goes down well around here; they just don't feel like LEGO to me...
...but a brick-built dinosaur (or other prehistoric animal, or dragon...) is always a joy to behold.

Are you sure you would have liked this Mosa better?

BRICKBUILT DINOS LETS GOOOOOOOOOO
Can't remember if I got the Brachiosaurus set, but if I didn't I'd rather have this one anyway. All of the new color schemes look good, including the Mosasaurus--there have been enough brick-built dinosaurs lately that he can surely find a friend (or not) to share a display space.
But final decisions have to wait until I see the full sets and, most importantly, the final prices!
Afol: Lego should stop making moulds for animals and instead do them brickbuilt
Also afol: Why did Lego made this brickbuilt? They should have used a mold
Love the printing of the fin of the Spinosaurus, not perfect but a great improvement after the bland stegosaurus.
@ALEXDTI Last JP release casued the same civil war pick your side or sit back and enjoy.
I'm really enjoying the image for the brick-built Mosasaurus. The way the eye looks in the profile makes it look like it's a smaller Dino pilot at the submarine Mossy portal lol

Obviously an auto correct and should be Spino. But I love the idea of someone being excited that Lego is finally releasing a spoon.
Just for fun,
Fabuland had the first spoon/ladle, 1982, and even appeared in a harry potter set.

Belville had a standard dessert spoon in 1996.

Friends got a medical spoon in 2012.
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=98393e&name=Friends%20Accessories%20Medical%20Spoon&category=%5BFriends%5DT=C
And regular Lego got one in 2017.

Which got updated in 2023.

i see the Jurassic Park people continue to pretend dinosaurs don't havve feathers because feathers aren't "scary", as if emus aren't some of the most terrifying animals on the planet and didn't wwin a wwar against the Australians
@Miyakan :
Thanks for correcting my autocorrect. But is interesting that regular Lego got a spoon piece last. The spoon piece does bring an image to my head of John Hammond eating ice cream. I don't know why.
I don't want to choose between teammould and teambrickbuilt but DAMN that Mosasaurus looks nothing like the creature from previous movies. Probably it's a mutant dinosaur this time but the distinctive headshape is nowhere to be found.
Noooo no more new dinos! I collect these, but only the dinosaurs and not the whole sets and buying them on BL is quite expensive…

Because it’s not meant to? It’s based off the new film.
Thank you, I love the Jurassic World theme and I was afraid they might just rehash sets they'd done before or something. New dinosaurs is great, but where's my Gallimimus re-release?
Ahem, also, thank you... I had no idea this was even coming out. Gee, talk about terrible marketing. Now I have a new film to look forward to for the summer.
Thank you also for NO OWEN. I adore Chris Pratt as an actor and his character was great, but I think I have 25 Owen Grady Minifigures by now and I could use more unique characters. (We don't even have the blood sucking lawyer yet.)
And one last thing before I forget... where's our LEGO Locust piece? Seriously, Dominion included a worthless side plot about giant killer locusts and not a single set included the molded bug element, can we get one in the new sets and maybe add a squashed flat bug for those of us who found that plot point really, really dumb.
Ahem, no, I am not being negative, I am simply being sarcastic, in text form it's really hard to tell the difference. ;)
This film gave me JP The Lost World vibes which is good, as I like that film. A thing to note is this: the film takes place in another island where the dinosaur concept was tested BEFORE breading started in Isla Sorna to then go to Nublar before the original JP. The Quetz (the flyer) that you are seeing here varies a lot from how it is seen in the film but, LEGO wasn't going to make a new mold just for that film. The Titanosaurus is using the Brachi body but it seems the tail and head are completely different, the Spinosaurus model they show is also completely different as the mismatched creatures look half like that one (this model looks to be a mixture of the JP3 and JW Camp Cretaceous Spinosaurus alongside a tail of Oxalia and the JW Rebith Spino). The Mosa also carries some differences to its previous looks and it looks great with that pattern, for those of us who own it, we will finally get a second Mosasaurus although, I share the confusion as to why it is brick built and not molded.
There are some other entries which have yet to be seen but they are: Dilophosaurus, T-Rex, a monster and some sort of Raptor. They will look freaky but they are supposed to do, they are concepts which Ingen abandoned before starting operations in both Sorna and Nublar. So the timeliness is this: Lockwood Manor (proof of concept), this place (the quality assurance testing), Sorna (breading grounds) and Nublar the park.
Someone had crazy amounts of cash back then.
Just what I wanted from Lego - more dinosaur species! The spinosaurus fans are finally given justice after eight different Tyrannosaurus molds. Not that I don't want more, but other species are always appreciated.
I absolutely love the new species!! A modern LEGO Spinosaurus is a dream come true and the Titanosaurus looks fantastic. I didn't think we'd get a bigger dinosaur than the Brachiosaurus but the new head and tail molds work really well. That being said, it's super disappointing to see a brick-built Mosasaurus when every other dinosaur in minifigure-scale sets has been molded since 2012. The build looks good, but the head shape seems too rectangular and it just doesn't fit in with the rest of the dinosaur figures.
I'm very frustrated that the lack of claw printing has continued into 2025. It made the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus figures look unfinished in 2024 and the same holds true for the Spinosaurus. That figure looks incredible with the new head, body, and tail molds and the color scheme is very striking, but the unprinted claws drag it down. I hope the legs are printed since I see some black printing on the dark brown body but I can't make any out leg printing from this image.
Not to mention the sail on the Titanosaurus should be red and it's missing the second sail at the base of its tail. I understand not making new molds for every little difference so that doesn't bother me as much, but when effort has been made to create stunning new molds it's a shame to see a lack of printing preventing these dinosaurs from looking as good as they used to.
Wow. I am SO excited for all of these (more so than the movie that they accompany; fail to see the point of another film so soon).
Like others have said above, disappointed that the Mosa isn't brick-built, but I'm happy to have one at all! Was worried for a while that TLG was just going to reuse the Baryonyx/Indoraptor molds for the Spinosaurus, but thank goodness they didn't, cause it looks awesome!
Still holding out hope for a JP3 Spino and a JW (2015) Mosa someday....

I didn't mind the Locust subplot a whole lot; I thought it was kinda interesting. It gave me Prehistoric Park vibes (the episode with the giant insects in the Carboniferous).
If nobody's seen Prehistoric Park, you gotta go check it out; that show was my childhood.

You know how it is. Gotta Tick every box.
@Odeinoichus:
The last time the "too many Owens" discussion reared its head, I did a count through all the JP/JW sets I own, and came up with a grand total of...one. I own one Owen Grady, and that's only because I got a complete run of Dimensions packs.
Now that they have a Spino mold, hopefully we'll see a JP3 set down the line!
That Spinosaurus looks amazing! I'm a massive Jurassic Park/World fan and i'll definitely be watching the film. Not sure if i'll get any of the sets though.

We did got some JP3 sets under the Studio theme, a remake of the plane set would be better.
Very good Spinosaurus. Hope it's in a cheaper set...
Ah, who am I kidding. The set will probably cost 100 minimum.
Dang, a lot of downers here.
Personally, I like the new Lego dinos, but am also at least a little hyped for the movie.
They're making the dinosaurs more accurate, the story is returning to its roots, can you all have a little faith for something that hasn't come out?
Dominion was awful. Lost World had some good bits. I think World is a genuinely fun movie. Maybe give Rebirth a chance, before calling it awful slop.
The Spinosaurus looks like a character not an animal, something with the way their hands and eyes were made. The tall neck guy/flying one have a more natural look which I find better.
Any dinosaur over a certain size should be brick built. That includes the Mosasaurus, nicely done, and the Apatosaurus, should have been brick built.
I've to be picky about which sets I get each year, otherwise there is no end to collectible IP's in Lego. This one I'll pass. I've never had a Jurassic set before, so...

It still looks nothing like the new trailer though.
Flying dinosaurs shouldn’t have jet engine intakes, or should they ?
I will get the Spinosaurus though.
Catering for all tastes. A rather good Lego (The Building Toy) Mosasaurus, and a few Playmobils for the younger children.
Are those minifigs? Just asking for my friend Huwbot.

I'm on the team "I don't care, I'm just sick of afol"
I prefer the large scale brick built dino's like the Mosasaurus and the 3 in 1 Creator sets as the parts now exist to create more realistic versions compared to 20 years ago. Why is there an awkward gap at the base of the Titanosaurus neck, couldn't the neck extend into the body to avoid this. I understand the fully molded dino's are more for the kids, which is why another film is needed to sell to the next generation of kids.
They all look great! I do think the Mosa could have used a molded head. The new color scheme is pretty cool, but I do hope we get a light blue “classic” Mosa at some point as well (really surprised they never did one). I do wonder how the mutant will look, it’s quite odd-looking (honestly a little disturbing) but seems too significant to the film to be ignored by LEGO.
Please LEGO: Do something about the terrible gap in the sauropods necks! …I’m really surprised this style was approved. Makes me wonder what approaches were turned down.
I like them! The spinosaurus is my favourite dinosaur, so I'm glad we're getting one of those. And finally no Owen! I'm not into army building, but we secretly built one with Owens over the years, he was in eeeeeverything dinosaur-related... He was the cause of absolutely everything that went wrong in all of the Jurassic World movies, so he might have earned it.
Less excited about the mosasaurus, but brickbuilt is understandable at that scale.
Also looking forward to the movie. Yes, predictable and with silly motives, but really pretty and DINOSAURS!
I was sceptical about brickbuild dinosaurs for JP, but that Mosasaurus does not look too bad...
At least better than that hard to oversee gap on the long-necks.
The Spinosaurus makes me think of the 2001 version, where they tried to re-use a T-rex head for the occasion :D The head looks much more like the real thing now, but I'm not too keen on the tail (maybe it's just the angle of the shot).
as a jp3 fan im sad that universal didnt use the 2001 spino build but this figure sort of looks like it so I really hope that its bigger the the t rex lego figure
I have a Spinosaurus skeleton made out of wooden pieces, so I'm fine, thank you.
Wow, the famous Maaskrokodil (Mosasaurus)!
Love them, and will surely get the brick built Mosasaurus. That should find its way back home :-)
Seen the trailer and I’m cautiously optimistic.
On one side I am beyond happy we are getting new molds.
But on other:
I was afraid they will make less and less prints on claws as seen on previous wave.
Another cheapskate move.
Reuisng previous Quetzal also a bad move, we seen this previously where they made SInoceratops a trike...
Mossasaur should have come with unique molded upper jaw part
@quincy said:

They did that because they need to lower the neck but still be compatibile in dino system they created. It was a good move.
Glad to see new dinosaurs coming around!
But that Mosasaurus is no where as bad as Lego's previous moulded attempt with 6721...once you see that you find a new appreciation for the upcoming one ;D
You Didn’t Say the Magic Word.
