By in Germany,

I still think the Mosasaurus looks completely off if it's the original creature and not a new mutant breed featured in the upcoming film. Having said that, it is a nice build nonetheless and I'm tempted. Reasonable ppp, too.

Crazy prices otherwise.

By in United Kingdom,

76976 (Spinosaurus & Quetzalcoatlus Air Mission) gives me Bart Simpson statue vibes.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Looks good, the dinos especially. Prices are high but not out of this world high, I think.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Is it just me, or do the LEGO pieces in the box art look even more CGI than usual?
As in, they aren't even trying to pretend they took actual photos.
The whole lighting seems off...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Seeing "brick-built" actually in the name of a set feels weird.

Gravatar
By in Spain,

50 € for 199 pieces... crazy

Gravatar
By in France,

Those look great, I just wish the mosasaurus would also be a molded model, it looks off in the collection.

By in United Kingdom,

Some of the best Jurassic sets in ages, they keep cooking! The prices, not so much. But that’s what discounts are for!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

The sets do look pretty good.

I think, since they're going with a kaiju-sized Mosasaurus, making a brick-built version was probably the only way to go.

I've already got a few Tyrannosaurs, but I love the Spinosaurus (finally) and the Titanosaurus. They'll be hard to track down, but worth it.

And that new Aquilops is cute as heck.

Aye carumba~i thought the same thing! XD

Nice selection of new sets with new dino moulds, will see if the popularity of the film will allow the prices to go down a bit.
(as for the Mosasaurus, it's still not as bad as 6721)

By in Ukraine,

Typical Jurrasic World sets. How is the line still not dead?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The guy in the boat mission set having the name "Atwater" is hilarious to me.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Nice sets. Too bad the two most desirable dinos (for us) are in the two most expensive sets. Having the raptor in one of them saves getting the Off-Road Escape though. I appreciate the brick-built mosasaurus, but that's also a skippable one. On the fence about the T-rex, we have a few already.

Better get used to it, this is the start of a new trilogy.

Life finds a way.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like the new dinos. The builds seem pretty unremarkable other than the mosasaur. I suppose that's for the best. Dino prices are quite high, but I can wait for discounting.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Prices are bonkers. Even considering the price of big moulds

Gravatar
By in United States,

Even for Jurassic World sets, these are ridiculously overpriced. Especially 76972. In 2023, we got 76958, with a small dinosaur, a jeep, some bushes, and a minifigure for $20. Now we're getting a small dinosaur, a jeep, some bushes, two minifigures, and a baby dinosaur for $15 more???

LEGO, please explain how the "big bad budget" was so bad that a single minifigure and a single new baby dinosaur hiked this set up to $35

Gravatar
By in Austria,

the Bennett minifigure seems quite "military-esque" for Lego's standards

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ouch ouch ouch the prices! The T-Rex one in particular is ridiculous. That T-Rex mold is so old it probably has ACTUAL mold on it, yet it's the most premium-priced of the whole lot, probably because of dinosaur name recognition compared with the other creatures.

As cynical as I am about the state of this franchise, it's at least nice to see JURASSIC merchandise that doesn't feature Owen Thunderguns and his trained velociraptor Stinky Cloneasaurus or whatever the hell was going on at the end of that trilogy.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m not even a fan of this theme despite liking JP, but some of this just looks cool. The vehicle aesthetic is way cooler than I’d have expected and the titan and raptor really grab me visually. I might have to get that set a least and then get some of the builds for cheap sans dinos

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I can't believe they took away articulation from the raptors. Some say they were oversized, but I never had a problem with their size. They are meant to be played with. These raptors are one big piece of plastic. This is no fun to play with. And let's be honest here, this wasn't done to scale better with minifigs. We all know the real reason why they ditched articulation...

Gravatar
By in United States,

So $50 mold for Titanosaurus?? Rest of that set has like $50 of parts/pieces whatever to it. Yeesh.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Love the baby dino in 76972

@Krutak kids wanting to play with them and a few new dino's to trap collectors

@ADRILEGIA 76944 had 140 and same price

Gravatar
By in United States,

Am I the only one who saw 76974 and immediately thought, "You're gonna need a bigger boat?"

@Andrusi said:

Don't have a cow, man! (Does he still say that?) Yeah, I had the same thought.

@watcher21 said:"Love the baby dino in 76972"

That and the revolver recolor.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Whenever LEGO announces Jurassic sets, it doesn’t take us long before we fixate on those prices…

Yeah. "Ooh, ah," that's how it always starts. But then later there's running and screaming.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Other than the T-Rex and the brick built Aquilops sets, I will likely buy these sets. The prices are a tad high but, the Spinosaurus and Quetz set is ok.

Gravatar
By in United States,

While I have absolutely no interest in getting most of the sets, I'm tempted to get the Spinosaurus and Quetzalcoatlus set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Does the color scheme of the vehicles remind anyone else of Dino Attack/Dino 2010?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like these sets for the most part. The builds are quite small for the prices compared to past Jurassic World sets - I miss the days of huge sets like the Indominus rex Breakout or Lockwood Estate. I prefer getting one huge build versus various builds in the largest set of the wave.

That being said, all the vehicle builds this wave look pretty strong and the new dinosaurs are awesome!! So many new molds and species, I'm over the moon. Still wish the Mosasaurus was molded like the others but it does look like a fun build, and we're getting so many new molds I assume there wasn't budget to create 6 more big animal molds for it. The Spinosaurus is my favorite, it looks incredible and I really love how the tail, sail, and head have been translated into LEGO form.

The lack of claw printing on the dinosaurs is a huge shame, it leaves them looking unfinished. I really hope that's corrected next year and this isn't a new standard because it's a step back in terms of detail. This T. rex will look strange next to all the ones we've gotten since 2012 since it's the first with unpainted claws, and I think black or dark tan claws on the Spinosaurus would've added some much-needed contrast to its dark brown body.

It would also be great to get a small LEGO dinosaur that was still poseable... the new size for the Velociraptor is great to see but now it's completely static except for the jaw. I wish the head could still move at least.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

I find it odd they've printed "Brick-built" on the box in the set name for 76974. It's Lego so "Brick-built" shouldn't be necessary on any box.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The velociraptor chase set with the humvee-styled off-roader looks great. It's a unique, chunky, solid, detailed 4x4 and the ppp isn't bad. The baby dinosaur mold is neat too.

The set with the jungle temple is great. The ruins will go perfectly with Adventurers, Indiana Jones, or City jungle explorers, the 6x6 off-roader is an interesting build with neat styling and side-by-side seating, and the helicopter looks pretty good too. I really hope I can get the set without the dinosaurs for half-price.

The T-rex and boat set is still overpriced, but I'm glad they put the T-rex into a smaller set this wave instead of paywalling it at the highest or second-highest price points, or putting a version with wild pastel colors in a 4+ set. Such an iconic dino should always be as easily accessible as an X-wing or a Batmobile.

The gas station set reminds me of the gas station scene from the second book. I guess the screenwriter was really mining the books for any previously unused scenes he could find.

The mosasaurus boat set is definitely the odd one out here. If they're going to put "brick-built mosasaurus" in the name of the set, they should have just included the mosasaurus and then really emphasized the rebuildability of a brick-built dinosaur by including B and C models like a Creator 3-in-1 set. I bet there are going to be loads of alt builds on Rebrickable.

I like the Dino Attack color scheme for the vehicles and I want to see a moderately sized attack helicopter to correspond with the moderately sized humvee, as opposed to the enormously oversized versions of those in Dino Attack.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These have some actually decent builds, which is surprising for the Jurassic World theme. Great wave overall!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Meh set builds with decent dinos. Overpriced massively because dinosaur tax like always. Sigh.

I am glad they finally sized down raptors. It just never felt right and especially enforced weirdly oversized vehicles that would work with them.
I don't know about the palyability but I don't think they loose much (A turanble head would have been nice though)

74 more pieces, including the additional minifig and baby dino.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Set 76975 costs $50 for less than 200 pieces, which is insane, but I get that the T-rex is the set's main point.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Luckily for me, none of these sets are must-gets, except for maybe the Mosa and the Aquilops, which are fairly-priced.

Not a fan of those new Raptor molds. I'm not big on those one or two piece dinos, and I'm sad that they've forced the Velociraptors into that category. Also not a fan of the lack of claw printing. Definite downgrade. Luckily for me, I have my fair share of T. rex and Raptor sets, so I'm all set!

I'm of the opposite mind. It's disappointing to me to see a complete wave of new sets without characters that I know and love.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: this feels like too soon for a franchise reboot.

Gravatar
By in United States,

My favorite part is the orange/red-orange gun I'm guessing is a flare gun. Either way, I like the recolor.

The dinos look nice, but thankfully I'm not obsessed and will be okay not picking them up.

I understand high prices because of new molds, but some of these...jeesh.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

76975 is such a ripoff. That just looks like a random cheap City set with a T-rex. They're also getting more and more stingy with paint apps it seems. First they stopped painting the teeth, now they aren't even painting the claws anymore.

76974 is also a huge disappointment. I'm not a fan of that brick-built mosasaurus but I'm especially sad about that boat. They took that cool-looking patrol boat from the trailer and turned it into such a tiny motorboat. When I saw the original leaks of the dinos, I thought we were gonna get a large set with a boat, the spino and the mosasaurus. Something a bit like 76942.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Soooo, that mosasaur is going to get the choice between blue pill annnnd... yellow pill?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Aquilops is cute. 339 pieces for $25 is comparable to this year's Creator sets, which are usually a good price-per-piece. All it needs is a couple of alternate models.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

LEGO once again just missing the mark with the prices. It feels like the dinosaurs take up half of the cost sometimes.

Zuru have a line with dinosaurs and you can get a ~300pc set with a big dino for £15, so half the price of a LEGO one with a similar sized dino.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The lack of a darker color in the claws is really upsetting.

Gravatar
By in United States,

"...recreate the iconic Mosasaurus boat scene from the film... "

Iconic? The film isn't even out yet.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Wow, this wave has some of the clunkiest set names I've ever seen!

"Baby Dolores: Aquilops" is a strange name for a character/minifigure too, like the other baby dinosaur sets they've done. Why did they choose this format rather than "Dolores (Baby Aquilops)"?

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

I agree that they are overpriced, but they are still amazing sets.

Finally using the appropriately sized molds for Velociraptors! Took them long enough!

Chris Pratt’s probably busy starring in his umpteenth franchise.

I don’t think this is technically a reboot, it’s just that they’re featuring new and different characters.

@Fan_of_Bricks it’s like that meme of the firefighter named “Les McBurney.”

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Never underestimate the popularity of brick-built dinosaur , 31058 Mighty Dinosaurs , still sold for nearly a decade now, and 31151 T. rex will likely be around until at least the end of 2026

Gravatar
By in United States,

These sets reminded me of Dino 2010 more than other JP / JW lines for some reason (maybe it's the robust vehicles), I may try to pick up some if they go on discount. They seem to have discontinued the normal raptors in favour of the smaller scale static element, which I guess is more in scale but a little disappointing (especially since it doesn't seem to have an effect on the price).

Odd that this seems to imply the Native displacement angle again, what with the random ancient temple. I think that was last seen in the Trespasser game, maybe it came up in the Telltale game as well though.
