By in New Zealand,

Hands down one of the best Marvel waves ever.

That train scene from Spiderman 2 is a standout especially. I wish Lego would make more Spiderman sets based off the movies.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Am I the only one who noticed that 76319 includes a brand-new shooter design?!

(Probably)

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Thanos' gauntlet mobile is ridiculously funny.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Those new Spidey figs and playsets are gorgeous... more Raimi sets, please! Need an updated 2002 Willem Dafoe Green Goblin fig!

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

And I like the reference to the chicken scene from Venom 2 in the Oscorp set.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Oscorp and Peter Parker's apartment bring me back to the 2016 - 2017 era of Lego Superheroes (particularly the 2016 Spider-Man wave, 2017 comic Avengers wave and the Lego Batman Movie sets), with the detailed and brightly colored minifigures, builds that were actually interesting, new characters (or new versions of characters we hadn't gotten in a while) and tons of hidden references!

With great power comes great LEGO sets.

I noticed. It looks like a re-vamp of the original one.

By in Australia,

I love Peter Parker's apartment.

The Oscorp Tower looks amazing, and would slide right into a typical Lego City setting.

I really like the revamped version of the subway set. It's a train! Sort of.

I also like how Lego is spamming the Iron Patriot figure. Yes, he didn't have a mech in Endgame, but it was more obnoxious with Ant-Man because he clearly *had* a giant form during the battle scene. I'm a lot more forgiving of this one, I think because it's a cool mech, but it's also a nifty way to an Iron Patriot fig.

And the best part is, there's still more Marvel stuff coming.

As for the Hammer Drones, well, not everything's a win.

By in United Kingdom,

Oh man, I see the speed champions sets popping up in the database update section... Looks like we're in for yet another release article!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Can't wait for smart hulks mech suit in the next endgame final battle set...

Gravatar
By in Poland,

FINALLY A PROPPER PLAYSETS

I know! No minifigs on sad stands.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Three subways cars - motor in one I am sure will be a popular choice with train fans - i will be doing that as you will be able to get the set discounted somewhere I am sure...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Welp, looks like I'm gonna buy a few used copies of that subway train lol

Gravatar
By in Spain,

It's amazing to finally see some Raimi's Spider-man based set! First day buy

I would love to see an updated Green Goblin figure

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

4855 brought me out of my two decade dark ages. It’s still sitting as part of my layout to this day, shame the webbed up signalling gate and launcher for the carriage doesn’t seem to have made it into this iteration…

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The question is, how on earth is Peter going to save the train if all there is to web to is 2x1 masonry bricks?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

While I like many of these sets, I'm just waiting to see how badly the Disney Tax puts the prices up on them...

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

Oscorp... boo
Spider train & quinjet - awesome!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Oh wow! Another Quinjet! ....... quite a cool Quinjet too.

Wait, do I need another Quinjet? Sure, I love Quinjets, but when do I have enough Quinjets? Lets just stick it on the wanted list until FOMO kicks in around discount time :0)

By in Netherlands,

Good sets! I even like the Hammer drones. They’re simple but good cannon fodder if you actually play with your lego.

The spiderman sets are also very joyful. But, is there still a set that will be on top of the bodega with the spot? Or do we need to put PP house on it, with a door high up in the wall?

The builds for Oscorp are a bit simple, but then again perfect for kids. Afols just need to moc it out i guess. All in all enough ingredients to flesh out your lego marvel world. Cool!

Even mcu lovers get their long awaited Quicksilver!

Edit: maybe the minifig selection could be somewhat special in the oscorp build: a few less spiderpeople and for instance Molten Man or Lizard

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Isn’t there supposed to be a Fantastic Four set? Has that been delayed?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I thought Peter Parker's Apartment was rumoured to connect on top of 76311? It seems to be the same size but the door would open into thin air (had to check 76311 to check there wasn't a fire escape or balcony or something).

Oscorp looks the best of these bunch. Does it feel like Marvel Lego is winding down? Superheroes is never mentioned in any of those best-selling themes annual reports.

Nah it leaked.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like that Peter Parker’s Apartment can attach to Oscorp, and they included the same yellow dumpster from the Marvel modulars.

Thanos gauntlet-mobile is silly. Good to see the helmet again and those Avengers prints on the jet look nice.

Hammer drones are way out of minifig scale, but might work alongside the mech suits.

Don’t know why Jameson and May are on the train, but I’ll take them. Will obviously be buying several of these to make a full train.

I like the Chitauri forces, but I have no memory of Iron Patriot being in this battle, let alone the mech suit. Ah well.

Oscorp. Nuff said.

I really like this model, and the inclusion of Quicksilver is a plus.

Gravatar

Only one mech. Are Lego feeling okay?

Gravatar

Gotta love Thanos Flying Gauntlet :)

I think that’s been in several Ninjago 4+ sets

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That’s an interesting Green Goblin design in the Oscorp sets; looks somewhere between the traditional cartoony look and the technological design from the Raimi films. It based on something specific from the comics?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is no one going to mention how funny it is seeing Aunt May holding on for dear life?

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

The apartment, and maybe Oscorp.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wait a second, Tobey Maguire Spider-Man?!? What a great choice for a set!

Appears like it may be based on the newer Ultimate Universe Green Goblin from the last year or two. I believe that one is Harry Osborn, also closer to a violent vigilante than a full on villain.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Glad to see some comicbook Spider-Man sets which make use of the supporting cast. The mini-modular concept is neat too, but these do feel a little half-baked. I get that Super Heroes sets wouldn't be full dollhouse, but these feel like City sets from then years ago, and when these are compared with similar Friends sets or Harry Potter (which has a different style, but there are usually plenty of play features like SH sets) these are a little underwhelming. But I appreciate the return to non-MCU subject matter, Venom isn't plastered all over these sets (that Eddie Brock is cool), and that they are steering away from campy vehicles. So overall it seems like a step in the right direction.

Prices are atrocious I'm sure....

Since we have had Morbius and Kraven, can we get Madame Web in one of these sets? lol. Maybe Julia Carpenter is supposed to rep that movie.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm really happy we're finally getting a Tobey Maguire Spider-Man set, I just wish they didn't always fumble the Minifigures. And they're probably going to charge 60-70 dollars for it.

Gravatar

can we get a tag for this new line of interconnectable buildings?

This would the recent Ultimate Universe where Spidey is a married father, rather than the original Ultimate Universe where they rebooted him into a high school kid again, right?
God comics need to be less self-referential…

Gravatar
By in United States,

This looks like a fantastic wave!

The mini-modulars are such a neat idea, especially for those who can't afford the premium ones.

Even though it's yet ANOTHER Endgame final battle set, it's kinda neat to have a Chitauri army-builder set available, as I only have one in my collection. Might pick this one up down the road to further fill up my Battle of New York display. ( @SpaceCadet : I believe Iron Patriot was in this battle, but the mech suit was not)

I'm glad they're continuing the large MCU ship series. I have 76248 , and it's one of my favorite sets I own, so it's nice to see it continued here.

That Spider-Man 2 train scene is fire. Will definitely be trying to grab that one of these days.

Overall, this wave is pretty well-balanced between the MCU, comics.... and even Sam Raimi!

Correct, the new ultimate comics are EXCELLENT. Especially in comparison to the original ultimate universe which was a MESS.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Finally a good marvel wave in a while. I like that a lot of the focus is on spider man. I just know these are going to be heavily overpriced especially the endgame one. Either way these look amazing.

My mother, she died in the jungle, while she was studying spiders, and she... is anyone listening to ME, I really loved collecting the paycheck for this movie, isn't that enough for people to understand how great an actress I am and not just rich mommy and daddy's pretty little girl?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Wait a minute... is LEGO actually giving us some playsets for once and not oversized superhero vehicles? I see this as an absolute win, and will definitely be eyeing Oscorp and the apartment. Kind of glad they're not Batman sets, because my wallet would die if they were. For Spider-Man, I'll have to think about it.

Not keen on the others though, even though I generally like Raimi's Spider-Man films.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look really really good!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Interesting, they actually released a separate rolling stock set as 76321 uses real train wheels and what looks to be built on a train baseplate (which would mean said wheelsets will connect and rotate properly). Very interesting! Only thing that's really missing (compared to a regular train set) is magnets to connect to other cars, but they did at least provide something to potentially connect multiples together. Neat! Not interested in super heroes but this one has me interested.

It's not new, it's been used in sets for over a decade now in fact (which I did NOT realize it's been that long... oof). EDIT: Actually it has NOT been that long, it just got put in recent versions of a Serious Play kit which skewed the availability dates. Only been around since 2020, glad I wasn't going crazy!

Here's the arrow: https://brickset.com/parts/6307940/arrow-w-3-2-shaft
And here's the launcher: https://brickset.com/parts/6296378/brick-2x6x11-3-w-shooter

EDIT 2: Unless you meant the "new" flick-fire? That is newer, it's also in some of the Spidey and his Amazing Friends sets this year.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

76321 - Easy buy for the train and sell the rest. 3-4 of these when on sale and you'll have a great Lego subway train.

Gravatar
By in Russian Federation,

The apartment is cute.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like the "Iron Man & War Machine vs. Hammer Drones," though can we come up with a better name than that, like maybe "Battle Suits vs Battle Drones"?

I like that they have come up with a way to show someone wrapped up in Spidey's web. I haven't seen that before.

I'm surprised that Thor got named in that set. I had to look closely to see where he was amid all those mechs and vehicles.

I hope we can get a good Thunderbolts* set down the road. Those characters are the only ones whose storylines still interest me.

Her superpower is complete immunity to osteoporosis. Kind of a bone-only version of Wolverine's healing factor.

Gravatar
By in United States,

76321 is a surprise, but not a bad one. "You have a train to catch." I may have to rewatch that movie.

Gravatar
By in Philippines,

I don't know, but the Oscorp and Peter's Apartment sets look underwhelming. The builds are too flat (save for Oscorp's facade) and the detailing of both the interiors and exteriors lacks variety. The main draw of these sets are clearly the minifigures (great selection, by the way) so I'll probably wait for discounts before I purchase either of them.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I honestly have a strange fascination with the second Spider-Man movie and never understood why, until I saw Alfred Molina in Coffee and Cigarettes by Jim Jarmush. Seeing his minifig on the subway car holds that fascination up. I think the older one had a better train that showed the doors, the new one misses that mark unfortunately. Still, it’s a pleasant experience to revisit such an iconic scene from an old movie with my personal favorite Spidey antagonist.

Gravatar
By in Serbia,

hey, how come the set numbers in news posts are no longer interactable? makes it so much harder to add new sets to the wishlist

(oh nvm they are, they’re just lacking the correct formatting)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I've never been into Marvel, but it seems as generic City buildings and vehicles, they've done really well this year.

Thinking about buying multiples of the NYC subway. Guessing this will work on regular track?

In the movie Avengers: Endgame, Rhodesy must abandon his Iron Patriot suit during the final act when Thanos destroys the Avengers compound. He is rescued by Ant-Man and appears in a brand new Iron Patriot armor, but the film doesn't show how he got it1. The Iron Patriot armor was originally planned to appear in Avengers: Infinity War as the Mark V, but the design for an upgraded Iron Patriot Armor ended up becoming the Mark V while the War Machine armor seen in the movie was designed as the Mark VI4.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Quinjet for the collection is a must.
The Hammer Drones look a little clunky and will probably pick up on discount.
Same for Thor vs. The Chitauri when it comes down to a better price point.
The rest are an easy pass.
