Looks good! Hoping for a Speed Champions one next year.
Beautiful!
that go well with Mustang
Hate to be a downer but the colour constancy is atrocious, look at the right hand side in the main pic. The right hand side has like 20 different shades, its such a shame to see the quality dropping whilst prices climb higher each year.
Otherwise, cool car. I like that it's dark blue as well, colour consistency aside. maybe a good parts pack like the Camaro.

Thought it was the Mustang. Could have made it a different colour.
I've grown out of my car phase but I like it.
I do wish they'd give the designer(s) some credit in those press releases, though...
I see new curved slope pieces! Model looks very nice, cool shapes.
Looks a bit compact for over £100. Easy pass, too expensive, doesn't interest me.
For a car with such rounded shapes, my first impression is pretty positive. A lot better than the Corvette at least. I'm not entirely sold on the rear end, and I guess those flat tiles over the front wheels were unavoidable, but otherwise it mostly seems pretty good. Okay, one thing more that bugs me: I'd replace those grey pieces for the grill with black ones....
Nice but for this price the stickers should have been prints.

I think that's reflections more than anything else, but always good to keep in mind.
It's a great looking set, I have the Mustang so I probably won't get this, but happy for people who do!
I still don't have the Countach or the Corvette, but this I like.
Love the spoons as pedals. That's clever.
Looks nice but too expensive, I'll wait for a discount
Overall looks pretty darn great and almost all the curves work REALLY well.
But the flat tiles and on top of the front fenders is quite jarring and look terrible, but I’m sure it’ll only be a matter of days before there’s a fix on Rebrickable…
How do you turn this on?
Looks rough
I am pleasantly surprised by the shape...it looks really great. But that price is tough to swallow. I'll be looking for a discount for sure.
Go to Rebrikable, search for Shelby Cobra and you'll have quite a few models. 2 of them from set 10265 .
It's nice, like the rest of the series, but I did not get any of the previous ones - can't get them all...
Not quite sure about the gaps on each side of the windshield.

I don't think there is enough space for anything better.
Hey, little Cobra, don't you know you're gonna shut 'em down? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc6FmZCT0Zc And yes, that's the way I started out my post in this article: https://brickset.com/article/73598/poll-which-classic-cars-should-join-speed-champions, but it's a great car song! But yeah, this looks nice! I like the touch of the trophy.

I've been wanting a Speed Champs Cobra ever since the article I linked to. If you want to see me paralyzed with indecision, give me a choice between SC doing a Cobra and them doing Herbie.
Hopefully there is something to prevent the tubes on the exhaust (they look like https://brickset.com/parts/design-62462 62462 Tube W/Double Ø4.85) from rotating and exposing the slit. I often have that issue when this part is used for pipes.
It looks great, but I'll give it a pass as I already own the Mustang. The high price doesn't help its case either.
Edit: I just had a closer look at the images and I have to say I'm impressed at how the designer managed to make the sides of the car slope downwards towards the back. It makes the car look so much more dynamic.

I'd take Herbie over a Shelby Cobra SC any day! The first two films were fantastic - the last 3 1/2 we don't talk about....
LEGO seems to follow competition brands recently, suddenly adding a lot more shapes of slopes, curved slopes and tiles in the last 2 year or so. (which does seem to increase price on some sets that first use them however)
This looks very good for a mostly System build, LEGO like this is more math then stacking things on top of eachother.
Looks good but so close to the Mustang they just made. I usually get all these but I feel like this is almost a duplicate.
Wasn't that the B-model of the Mustang set a few years ago?
I don't understand the $100
Annoyingly released too late for Jane Austen.
He was the world’s worst chicken rancher, because God had a higher calling for Carroll Shelby.
I think I’ll get this one and finally find a place for the Batmobile.

You put the $100 on the dash (probably with scotch tape or something). You tell your passenger, when I pop the clutch, you see if you can reach up and grab that bill before I shift. If you can, it’s yours.
I remember driving this puppy around London in The Italian Job on PS1!
Getting Model Team vibes with this one.
I made a MOC of my dads Shelby Cobra as a chrismas present to him a cuple of years ago. I wish I add all does pices back then.
Neat! I recently built the Cobra alternative build for the Mustang that already looked pretty good.
Gorgeous model, great choice for this Icons series! And the perfect colour for this car!
Nice to see some silver (but sadly not chrome) parts.
But that price is HIDEOUS, even with the printed parts, new molds, and licensing fees factored in!
20 cents per piece in Australia, or DOUBLE the “acceptable” ratio of 10 cents per piece!
YIKES!!
Will probably wait to pick this up 2nd-hand….
The flat windshield and brick surround just look bad. For the price we should get a new printed custom windshield. Mattel is doing it for cheaper.

Such an iconic color combo, but yeah...should’ve reversed it.
I understand the iconicity of these colors for this car, but it's a shame it is identical to the mustang they came out with years ago. They need more variety...like a white Porsche, and then a white Lambo...
But whatever. It looks well done. Some neat features. I'll pick it up sometime. I can't imagine a sale would happen since I rarely have seen these types of sets on sale in US at least, unless I'm missing some magical moments.
But I don't love the piece count vs the price. It is a traditionally small car, so I guess I understand the scale, but make it cheaper ;).
Might be the only Shelby Cobra I might be able to buy.

I much prefer this set's approach of all the new parts it introduces being versatile building elements that we're likely to see used more in the future over Mattel's use of bespoke parts with no reusability that feel more like something out of a non-brick-based model kit.
It's a beautiful model, but I cannot stop seeing it as a b-model of the Mustang
It will probably be the very first Icon Car range I will get. The AC Cobra is so iconic, so wild and ... Different. And it looks like a good design and work on this set, taking advantage of many new curved parts. I like it a lot. And as always I am sure it is even much better under your eyes than on any picture. Excellent. Let us just hope that there will be no issue with different hews on all those dark blue parts.
looks awesome
I'll be getting it at some point
Hoping for a Speed Champion version so my minifigs can cruise the city

I used to have a Cobra... a Micro Machines one. It was pretty impressive. Opening hood, doors and trunk on a toy an inch long.
Absolutely gorgeous. Still have the Countach to get, but this might overtake it!
Not bad!
I'm surprised at how well the curves were achieved - I'll pick one up for sure.
Looks good, but the color being the same as the Mustang is a turnoff for me.
Ugh, stop making amazing, beautiful things that I have no space or money for!
Amazing!
A nice re-fresher after the other recently revealed Icons set.

I was looking for this comment ! :D
Wow!
Just incredible shaping.
This is one sexy vehicle.
I like it, but I already have the Mustang, and this looks too similar from a distance for my liking. Plus I already have an excellent scale model of a Cobra, so no real need for another version.
But it's still a nice set imho. 50 percent overpriced, but still.

Maybe on cornering, but on the straight track my money's on the Countach.

Yes exactly !! Why did they choose dark blue of all colors ?

Probably because it's easily the most iconic color for the Cobra?
It's like asking why almost all Ferrari models Lego has ever made were red....
I can see from the box that it is accurate but it seems odd to me that the car only has 1 roll over protection system.
Great-looking model.
It having the exact same paint job as the Mustang is a minus for me though.

I was expecting this comment. I was not disappointed
Got 10265-1 when it was $150. Same color with more parts and lots of printed pieces. I'm good.
Does anything Lego that has a thing to do with Fords have to be dark blue???
At first, I thought part of the reason for choosing dark blue is because of the existing dark blue print on the white 2x4 tiles for the Mustang. But looking closer, the Cobra prints aren't the same! The stripes are printed on 4x4 tiles or printed sideways on 2x4 tiles!
I guess the colour is a classic, but really, I would've preferred a different colour. Otherwise, it's a stunning design for a beautiful car!
Also, like the mustang, I would've loved to see some customisation options, given that they even included a token toolbox build!
Comes with its own trophy? Little presumptuous, no?

StyleCounselor: In case some of you are wondering who the best is, they are up here on this plaque.
[turns to Shelby]
StyleCounselor: Do you think your name will be on that plaque?
Shelby: Yes, sir.
StyleCounselor: That's pretty arrogant, considering the company you're in.
Shelby: Yes, sir.
StyleCounselor: I like that in a set
The car looks beautiful for sure. Shelby Cobra is one of the most beautiful vintage cars in my eye. The model looks great but I let go of my urge to collect these after Caterham 7. Thank god, because the sets came after were so so good.
I already notice discrepancies in the dark blue parts on official Lego pictures :(

Right, because the look of this- built with brick- is crazy. Stellar work on the design and the color scheme

I may lose my "License to Build" for this comment but try a drop of Testors Liquid Cement for Plastic or an equivalent.
I used it extensively on 76919 since I built it as a display model never to be disassembled. I'll do the same when I build 76925.
This may actually be a legal technique since I know LEGO does the same thing on sets displayed in their stores.

Gentlemen, this school is about Lego sets. There are no points for second place.
Dismissed.
Wot a beauty!

Release the Kragle!
(Lego apparently uses MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) by the way, which is very effective but rather nasty stuff)
Looks nice but I wish it was a different color. We've already had two white cars in this series, now we're getting a second dark blue one. Some more color variety would be welcome.

It looks like the model has been photographed in a studio with multiple soft light sources, which may explain why you think there are so many shades of blue.
the 100 dollar bill accessory is a bit on the nose for modern LEGO
I like it, but I primarily only buy the Chevys. Well, except for 10271, which became Luigi, from Cars, 10290, and 10298, but I want to turn that last one into Guido from Cars.
Oof, soo much variance in the dark blue quality control. No doubt the review will pick that up.

Only the driver would be in it and you need to save weight any way you can.
OMG it looks so eeeeepic
I mean... it's yet another car. But it's so c u r v y
I kind of like it for that
Looks great!
For the owners of 10265: you can already build a Shelby Cobra as an alternate build, for example https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-43043/NKubate/10265-shelby-cobra-roadster.
1st the Lambo now this. Why they repeating the same colours??
You can already build a lambo out of the Porsche set and a Shelby out of the Mustang set. At least make them with a different colour.
Oof, this has to be the UGLIEST creator expert/icons car ever made.
they could literally have picked ANY car to make a model out of, and they picked this?
what a massive disappointment. there are so many cool cars to pick from... this aint it. UGLY
