Let's Go Bucs! Pirates are welcome in this Pittsburgh home any year.

By in United States,

I love the Shipwreck Defense. Such a simple, but nice looking build. Also, dem minfigs!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

hmm interesting, im glad they are bringing back blue and white soldiers :D the pirates also look good.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Same thing as last time...

Gravatar
By in Canada,

The soldiers are downsizing the fort.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Wow, I can't believe Lego just re-released the Bounty...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Is no one else massively disappointed by the fact that the brick bounty is almost identical to brickbeards bounty?

Gravatar
By in United States,

This was the theme I couldn't wait for.... till these pics. The figs look great, but the builds feel juniorized more then usual. Maybe I'm just comparing them to the past sets. They do feel very similar, except most seem inferior. Either way I LOVE that LEGO is heading back to the seas again, and I will always support the original unlicensed stuff with my cash. Now please please please bring back some Western?

By in United Kingdom,

All the new sets looks fantastic, although the ship looks a lot like brick beards bounty though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These sets look fairly good a little young yes, but still good minifigs. Sounds like he will be revealing Star Wars next, can't wait!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I'll be buying a couple of these for parts.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The minifigs look pretty great IMO, even if the sets are a bit lackluster. This looks like the last Castle theme, where the sets were very basic but pretty affordable so you can buy multiple and make your own stuff.

It'd be nice if LEGO used the same level of creativity they lavish on Chima or Ninjago on their other staples. But then I guess that'd open a whole other can of worms.

By in United States,

I love the box design, so simple but effective. Also, Soldier's Fort is my favorite, including using the stud gun as a smaller cannon.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Its a shame that Just2Good is getting all this popularity and views just from leaking the sets, its unfair how he could easily upload the images to Imgur however chooses to wait until people vote and give him views/money. Its rather mean to restrict it from fans... for example he has the Star Wars 2015 sets also and has had them a while yet is delaying them for more views.

As for my opinions on the sets - honestly they seem a little too much figure focused. The Soldier fort suffers from too many soldiers and not enough fort. The main set, the boat, also seems rather lacking in terms of creativity, its a very basic design with little detail on the surface of the boat

By in United States,

The sets look okay--nothing too outstanding, but decent enough--but my favorite part has to be the Jolly Roger on the Juniors set. I (almost) wish that were the one for all the sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Really kind of interesting how they look a lot like old classic pirate sets. Not a lot to them but use some newer pieces. I'm not getting anything Pirates anytime soon, but it does look very reminiscent of the older classic sets.

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

these sets are great. and NO STICKERS this time! ^^ clever use of the "brick" bricks to show the wear on the buildings.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I do like the new dark red "brick" bricks and the new minifigures especially the soldiers, however the new ship that came out is awful IMO and the sets are pretty bad. The sets do have good parts though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

LOVE the minifigures! Everything else is as expected. I'll get at least one of everything to support the theme, but obviously would have preferred larger builds for the ship and the soldier's fort. Still...the minifigures!! :]

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I love the pirates, really a huge fan, and I'll buy these also, BUT I think TLC had been to busy devoloping other sets by producing a re make of brickbeards bounty. To bad. No, really sad. Over the past there are build SO many nice MOC's, come on TLC, you could have done better!!!!

Gravatar
By in Hong Kong,

Brilliant! A cape is used as sail in 70410.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

female soldier looks really good!

also, I like the way the foto´s are leaked. this way, I´ve had fun lego news every day for the past week!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Great minifigs. The Pirate Captain is the same as always. Would have liked a new look. But he looks excellent even still!
The sets feel a bit 'thin'. I was hoping for a bit bigger/more parts look.
But I am keeping my final vote until I have seen them up close.

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

I'm delighted to see the return of the bluecoats. The only problem is that they don't have a flagship. =(

Gravatar
By in Czechia,

Very good minifigs. The pirate captain seems to be based on a design from 1989! Unfortunately the most disappointing set would be the ship. It seems too blocky and juniorized. I really liked the Castle: Kingdoms, the following castle seems to me juniorized as well.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I see they've gone back to the French model (blue uniform), no doubt to distinguish it from the recent POTC models; pity, they'd have matched... well, no actually, I like the blue.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

These all look to be fairly cheap sets like the recent Castle range, which is good because I will have to balance against SW, which is apparently being revealed next. Yes, the builds are fairly simple but I see no problem in modding multiple copies to make a larger fort or outpost, or even a bigger shipwreck. And it turns out the Brick(beard's) bounty is pretty much the same in both name and design. The minifigures are great but I prefer the old bandana. I must admit, I giggled a bit when I saw they had even copied Kraken Attackin'!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Very disappointing, rather blah and uncreative rehashing. Hopefully they won't be as poorly priced as the last series.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Finally a chance to replace all those broken flags from my childhood pirate sets!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Bleh. These builds look as bad as the prelims; the only things I like here are the minifigs and sawfish. Would it have killed them to release a new octopus color, at least? Black is the MOST common, and in 2009 we got exclusive Dark Red and Glow-In-The-Dark octopi. Pass.

Also, one comment on the Juniors set: That minifigure is made up of such common parts, why did they even bother? It seems very strange that they include basic, boring, common figures in these sets, because kids love detailed figures, even at the age of 5! (Well, at least my little brother does, particularly the A-Wing Pilot...)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Definitely getting the shipwreck defense for my WIP pirate hideout.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

The Soldier's Fort is easily my favourite. It's obviously somewhat in the vein of "Sabre Island" and looks great with its palm tree. Not sure about the mini-cannons, but thery are rather hilarious, I guess. Admiral fig is great, too!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Pirates theme has always had a special place in my heart (and wallet) ever since i got the pirate/islanders theme way back when. As for the new sets they do seem somewhat more basic like the revival of the castle theme. On the other hand though the sets seem to come with a great variety of sea themed pieces, maybe ill finally get my own LEGO crab. The one thing that really stood out to me was the mini figures, the use of the different colored clothes and bandannas helps show how ragged the pirates should be. Overall I am sure to pick up a few and see how they are.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ah, Finally! The Pirates theme is going back to the good ol' classic look, love the blue soldiers! but will they add the Armada as well??? :U

Gravatar
By in United States,

*sigh* and if you want some of the 2015 star wars images, just search for it on google. :P
(although some may not be official sets, and be fake Lego's or an Ideas project)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm actually disappointed in the figures and accessories, but really like the builds.
I was hoping for rare coloured jewels (purple/orange) plus lots of gold but it seems to just be standard red/green/blues. I also don't love the bandanas (though it's nice for variety), and although I suppose it's good to get the female soldier (she could do with printing on the side of her legs, looks messy I think), I miss the 'damsel in distress', that's usually my favourite figure in these sort of themes - why not include both in the theme?

That said the builds look very good in my opinion. I think the dark red masonry bricks look much better than the prints/stickers used in 2009, and I like all the brown in the outpost and fort. The shipwreck is also possibly my favourite build ever in a smallest set - it looks great considering the parts.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Skull Island, that will hopefully have better figures and accessories, as although I like the builds I won't be buying any of these so far.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like the sets as they are very similar to the classic Pirate sets I already own. The more soldiers I can get, the better.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

The sets look like they fell out of a time machine.
The line-up needs a bigger fort.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hmm. They're not bad. The two smaller sets are my favourites.

Gravatar
By in Italy,

Finally the Pirates are back!
Very nice sets, for sure I will buy some.
The only thing I don't like is the Sword fish in The Brick Bounty (70413), I was waiting for the big shark as in the Brickbeard's Bounty ( http://brickset.com/sets/6243-1/Brickbeard-s-Bounty ).
And last but not the least, the prices looks to be not so high.

@ Mickitat
I'm with you, a big fort will be very appreciated!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Star Wars pictures just got posted by just2good. How does he get all these pictures??

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I like that they brought back the bluecoats, but everything else about this lineup seems disappointing. Even the main ship is barely distinguishable from Brickbeard's Bounty - it just uses an uglier colour scheme. The rest of the sets are just too small, but at least it's classic Pirates I suppose.

Gravatar
By in United States,

^He has a source that can not be named.

I'm glad this theme is coming back, but my wallet isn't. I love that the bluecoats are back. I liked the redcoats also, but this will be most welcome. I missed out on the 2009 line, only having picked up the Imperial Flagship for Christmas the year it went EOL.

I like the classic look of these, but I can't help but feel I like the Revolutionary soldier printing better.

The hook does look different on the Captain, but I'm glad to see updated printing to match the classic pirate captain I knew from my youth.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Doesn't look too bad for the buildings, but Lego, WHY, why did you need to replace the classic palm tree?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have just a couple thoughts -

-YES! Pirates are BACK!
- Glad to see the Blue Imperials.
-Sets are FULL of minifigs! Can't go wrong with that. It seems TLG has figured out their formula... SW is the bread and butter and all other sets/themes get loads of Minifigs but less build.
-SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE PIRATE SHIP! Really? A warmed over BBB? So much for holding on to my to extra BBBs.
-Looking forward to a 2 year cycle (fingers crossed).

Gravatar
By in Italy,

I can not wait to take them and make my whole collection that my mother threw me away 20 years ago ... in Lego we trust!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Yes, Redbeard finally makes a triumphant return! It has been 14 years since he appeared, and that was a studios set! I actually like most of the theme and I don't mind the pirate ship, it looks similar but it fixes a lot of the issues the BrickBeard Bounty had. It actually looks better!

As an owner of that ship I can say that the new sail rigging looks a lot less flimsy. They finally made the sails different sizes and they fixed the sails to the booms again, and it looks like the booms won't rotate anymore. They also did away with the pearlgold details and the rather loose captian's quarters. It also has a crows nest and a rear flag.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Also a return of the 90s castle/pirates moustache!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'm very excited about the new sets! I think that they are going to be a great addition to the line up! I know that I'll be picking these up as soon as they're available.

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

Hmm... comparing this to how Castle took a step down from Kingdoms: I think I want to say the same about the big Pirate ship + the minifigs. The wave has turned more playish/childish. That said, the small Soldiers Fort/Outpost + shipwreck are cute. :-)

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Meh. Not excited. Ship is a nice classic piece and there's some good minifigures but nothing I want to buy.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Again Pirates returns with great sets. I may not be getting the Brick Bounty though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Great looking figures! I noticed the green pirate minifigure and it reminds me of the classic pirate minifigures, so perhaps this theme has some throwback with a modern twist? :) I'm hoping!

Gravatar
By in Finland,

is it just me but these sets kind of remind me from the 2009 wave: 70410 looks a lot like 6240 and 70409 reminds me of 6239. But of course they are remaking as with SW also.
