City Advent Calendar - Day 16

I am expecting a fourth and perhaps last space-related item today, based on the pattern of this City Advent Calendar so far and the past several days.
Hopefully the space theme concludes well...
Robots are found in several City Space sets and this one seems at home in the group, featuring the same rounded shape and single eye. Like the spacecraft from a couple of days ago, its colour scheme is familiar and I like the articulated arms. However, unlike the previous robots, I think this one is a toy because of the clockwork key on its back.
Overall - This is another nice model and I appreciate the consistent theming over a few days.

AFOLs would buy a bunch, certainly, but how well would it do with the general public? That's the real question. Although I do wonder how well a more expensive Advent calendar with polybags for each day would do, whether they were a series of homages to past Lego lines or not.
Two droids in one! My son on construction of this placed it on the mat blue piece down. Still works, the clockwork key becomes the head!
I’d definitely buy a poly bag calendar like that for twice the price of a regular one, a bit like Playmobil does two sizes of calendar with differing substance to the gifts.

If you look at how many pieces polybags have, then multiply that by twenty-for, then compare that number to how many pieces Advent calendars have, a polybag AC would be a lot more than twice the price.

True... but also I assume it would be a way to clear unsold cover mounts off magazines if you didn't bother too much about theming, just "Lego Builds...
