Posted by ,

The first wave of Star Wars Constraction sets, released on Force Friday (September 4th), have been received quite positively by the community. The second wave will be released in January and features new characters from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Just2Good on Eurobricks has uncovered the names of the six sets we can expect to get in the winter...

Are you ready to collect them?

I can't see a picture of the FO Stormtrooper?

Then what do you see? It's there...

I definitely want a Captain Phasma...and maybe a Kylo Ren. Will see how the other look before I decide.

By in United Kingdom,

It's likely I'll just order the parts I want from these, as the prices will be high again...

Kylo, Captain Phasma and the FO stormtrooper are must haves. Will wait and see how the humans look before spending. Hopefully they will be good quality like Obi Wan

I wonder how well Rey is going to translate to the constraction form. Armored and mechanical figures are well-suited to this line; "flesh" characters, who need to look organic, less so--so making a female figure, which needs to look "softer," may be tricky with the blocky nature of Lego. We'll see.

I am definitely getting the Stormtrooper. Phasma is a maybe, but I just might if the budget is there.

By in Puerto Rico,

I still have to buy a General Grievous as a gift to my dad (his favorite SW character along with Commander Gree amazing Episode 3 armor).

By in Venezuela,

at Least Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma

I haven't gotten any of the wave 1 sets, yet, but I'll have to see how these guys turn out. Definitely hope that Captain Phasma comes with her cape. I've considered getting Obi-Wan for the cape alone, with the other parts as bonus.

By in United States,

I never understood why they're "constraction" sets. Is it a unique version of construction? Seems strange to me.

^ Construction + action figure = Constraction

By in Poland,

I have to admit I'm not really interested. They don't look "Lego enough" for me. I liked Grievous though. If I find it discounted before it retires... why not.

Hopefully I'll get captain phasma her armour is so awesome!

Strangely enough, I've just starting building my first couple of Wave 1 figures in this range.

Most of the parts and the construction techniques were completely alien to me (never been into Technic or Bionical) and I really didn't enjoy putting Grievous together. Obi-Wan was much easier, so maybe it's because I'd got used to it by then or perhaps because he was much smaller. Anyway, the results were well-worth the slog - Grievous is particularly impressive.

Enough to persuade me to continue collecting them!! Hopefully the future will bring Maul and Boba!!

@TheBrickPal: I do see it now, sorry for the confusion :)

By in United Kingdom,

Not sure why all 6 new figures have to be all from the new movie other than for the obvious cash-in benefits surrounding the hype of the movie. I don't think the Rey and Finn figures will be anything special but perhaps Kylo and Phasma need goodies to fight much like we were give Obi Wan and Luke in the first wave. There's still figures from the first 6 movies I'd like to see in the constraction series though. Hopefully the series won't run out of steam before we see some more characters

By in Sweden,

Only got General Grievous from the first wave. Will be fun to see how these turn out. The Stormtrooper looks cool.

By in United States,

Vader looks impressive on the shelf. Grievous looks really impressive. I'll have to pick up Rey for my daughter.

Now they just need to release a Jar Jar and LEGO will be swimming in money.

Gravatar
By in {Unknown country},

I might pick up Kylo Ren when getting the new Battlepacks.

BTW, my friend has been spamming me the question when pictures of the UCS Hoth Base would be revealed. Do you guys know anything about that?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Lordmoral: Speaking of Gree, he would look epic as a constraction figure! Excited about the Stormtrooper, Phasma and Dameron.

By in Ireland,

They sound pretty awesome definitely will be getting them for my Episode 7 collection.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Meh. I'm more interested in some more original trilogy.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Phasma! Yay!

I want to see how they do Rey's hair, but otherwise, could go either way on quality.

By in Canada,

Nice selection. Sort of what I expected based on other companies' TFA action figure selection.

My interest in these will be mostly for the sake of parts. I hope Rey is not wearing her mask, since I have more use for a female human head sculpt in MOCs than a piece of brand-specific headgear. It'll also be nice if she isn't wearing gloves, so that we can get Light Nougat fist elements in a more useful quantity (there's only so much that can be done with Luke Skywalker's one, and I'm not interested enough in any of the figures so far to buy multiples).

The color of Captain Phasma is going to look great for her and making other figures. I have Grievous and he is the best constraction set ever. I would buy another one of him just for the parts. I wish these Star Wars constraction sets had been around for a while, because the colors and parts are much better than a lot of Bionicle parts for what I want to do. I really like the tan on Grievous. @Aanchir, Luke's hand is reversible like all other constraction hands. You could get more on Bricklink.

By in United States,

I need Kylo everything

By in France,

I've always thought that there was less to play with these constraction figures than with their System counterparts. What are you going to do with these figures guys? Display or play?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I wanted to hate these. OK my wallet wanted to hate these. My wallet lost that battle when I saw Grievous and Cody, now I own all 6.

As long as they can make the human heads look good (to me, I know that's subjective), then Ill own these 6 as well.

By in Poland,

And where are classic (ep.IV-VI) Stormtroopers? It's so iconic in the pop-culture it just cannot be omitted!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

So far 'my son' has Grievous, Cody & Jango Fett. DV to follow shortly. We like Obi-wan but Luke is meh.
FO Trooper, Phasma and Ren are no-brainers! Will wait to see how the others turn out, Poe could be interesting.
I find that part of the attraction is being able to set them up in different action poses, and then my son can still mash them up playing with them. Grievous is hands down the best for posing.
