Nov-Dec 2015 Club magazines live online

Posted by ,

Thanks to my friend Dadaw on the Mixels Wiki, I have discovered that the LEGO Club and LEGO Club Junior magazines for November-December 2015 are now live with their digital editions. They should both be appearing in mailboxes very soon, so stay tuned if you subscribe!

Amongst the 2015-based puzzles, comics and the like, there are also teasers for the 2016 sets of Star Wars (pictured above), BIONICLE, Nexo Knights, Mixels, Minifigures and more.

Go ahead and give them a read; there's something for everyone!

I think I can see gears on Rey and Finn. Is it just me?

Those constraction sets are awesome. I love Kylo and Phasma.

Indeed, #Stubborn Virus, those are gears, yes. The same as in the 2015 toa. If you zoom in, you can also spot them on Kylo Ren's back. I can also see one inside the torso of Rey. Presumably they all have them in this wave.

Additionally, check out those robes on Kylo Ren and Rey! They seem to be cloth type. Awesome!

I'm pretty sure the "Happy New Years" pic was meant for last year, or even the year before that. Almost all the sets in that image are long since retired, with the notable exception of the two mixels, who where clearly added after the fact using their stock photography when the rest of the image was drawn.

Also, it is great seeing the new constraction figures. More brown elements, as well as opaque orange, which has been largely absent from the constraction figures for the last two years.

I'm actually surprised by how good those figures look...Except for Finn, he looks a lot worse than I expected, which wasn't much in the first place :/

Finn is the stuff of nightmares, but Phasma and Kylo look phenomenal. Just not sure if I should buy Phasma, or the trooper... tough choices.

What will the gears do?

I love Phasma, the brown, dark tan, and tan parts, and the guns look great. I will be picking up more of these, but it is hard to decide which. I have Grievous and I would recommend him above all the rest. So many things are awesome about him. I like these a lot more than Bionicle because of the colors and parts, but Bionicle has its moments.

I was thinking the same thing about Finn. He looks like a baby doll head, and he is just like Luke Skywalker and Poe in that a human head just does not work. I think Lego knows this and that is why only 4 heads out of a possible 12 have been done. Rey's and Obi Wan's work a little because of the hood and beard respectively.

I'll be looking at this in a while, got some thing to do for now, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the Constraction lines. NEXO Knights had some interesting parts when I saw the leaked images on here a few weeks back, so I'll have a quick peek while I'm at it. :)

According to those pages, we can see the constraction figures "in action" on the Lego Star Wars website.

@ pagani88: Yeah, amazing eh? It probably means the 2015 ones, but most kids won't know that. Well done. :|

Having looked at the magazine, I am really hyped for those SW Constration sets. Orange, Dark Tan, etc. EDIT: And almost all the armour shells appear to be 6m! Happy days for CCBS fans. :D

Bionicle is getting more and more complicated, or at least visually (look at the Tahu + Ikir combiner!). Umarak is nothing like I expected. I was thinking of a Core Hunter-style build, but this is so much better. I love it. And Trans-Reddish-Orange bones! The traps look cute. :)

No new Mixels / CMF images, but that's OK. I've seen the S7 / S8 ones, and I'm still collecting S14 CMFs, so I'm fine with that.

No new NEXO Knights either, but I'm won't really be interested until I see the parts lists. Figs look nice tho. :)

If you go to pages 14-15, tilt your head, and look closely, you'll be able to see a few of next year's City sets.

Upon closer inspection... AAGGHH! Finn's head looks even worse than Luke's!

I hope Kylo will have a hoodie...

Pffft, as a body of work they look okay, but there's one that sticks out like a sore thumb in terms of looks. Finn Windu? More like Shelf Warmu.

That's great about these sets that that quite a number of them create custom chests using the 2015 Bionicle Gearbox and another new piece (that can be sort of seen on Finn's shoulders/back). Finn, Rey, and Kylo all seem to use this build. This means that they have a lot more ingenuity behind them than the 2015 releases.

This new piece should help cover up the back, leaving only the gear sticking out of the back. This piece extends over the shoulders a bit to help cover them up and also contains the ball joint that the head attached to.
