2016 collectable themes sneak peek

Posted by ,

2016 is quickly approaching, and LEGO information regarding the upcoming year seems to be appearing everywhere.

The November-December 2015 issue of the LEGO Club Junior Magazine is upon us. Through this little puzzle on the back cover, we are shown some Series 15 Minifigures; with the Shark Costume Guy (sure to be popular) and Queen, just to name a few. Series 7 Mixels (Mixadel, Tapsy, and Kuffs) are also present.

Are you as excited as I am?

I'm having that shark suit guy.

The shark suit guy is awfully reminiscent of 'Left Shark' from Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime show. I wonder if she'll try to sue TLG...

Glad to see some more official Mixel stuff up. ^_^

Unlucky guy seems to be present too.

Aargh. When the Simpsons and Horror/Halloween theme collections came out, I thought 'great, now I have a reason to stop collecting and sell my figures off.' Because I have every regular collectable minifigure (no, not Mr Gold) and they are taking up a lot of space. Now new figures are coming and I want them as well. Curse you, poor impulse control!

I love the minifigs crutches and what seems his demise is on his shirt :D

I'll bet that the guy with crutches is actually the "Awkward Man"

That guy with crutches could be the patient from the CITY Medical Helicopter, we're supposed to get a Satyr for the CMF series.

I'm guessing the English translation should be Clumsy Guy for the guy in crutches.

LEGO crutches!!! Now finally we have a way to honor all those parents who have fallen in the line of duty while tripping on a Lego construction in the middle of the night!

@samiamuc & @sharky
You're probably right -- however, I'm thinking some people will still call him "Man Awkward" even after the official name is known. :P

I finally caved in with Minifig Series 14 'for a Halloween display' (lame excuse, I know). Let see how tempted I get by these... I fear the worst and see a future of me trying to complete the previous series as well.

Dang it, don't you just hate it when you don't buy first time around!

I can't wait! Me want them now!

@goldenguy880: actually Man Awkward has a nice ring to it Someone with better skills than me should start a meme about Man Awkward.

@ Atbricks: Yep, I hate myself for not buying S1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 when they weren't in stores. And I'm still missing some of S8. Fool.

On the subject of the image, I want that Shark-Suit Guy. And the crutches. :)

@ZootyCutie You and I seem to be the only ones excited for the Mixels. XD

@TheBrickPal Not to be a wet blanket broken record, but merely the view and comment count on any Mixels news clearly shows that no one cares. The line got stale FAST.

^ And I hate to counterargue, but Mixels is still very popular. You may not like it, but a lot DO.

Nothing wrong with countering what I or anyone says, but without any evidence to follow up what you're saying that statement doesn't go very far.

You yourself say it seems that only 2 Brickset users are excited. For a website that boasts it's own "effect" based on news published here, I don't see 2 users as a very good measure of popularity.

Brickset doesn't represent the entire LEGO community. Look on Eurobricks in the Mixels 2016 Discussion and see how excited people are, for example.

We already had photos of all the upcoming mixels (then removed by Lego), so a few crummy drawings aren't going to garner much attention. Meanwhile, the drawings of the CMFs are fresh and new.

I enjoy the Mixels, and Series 8 seems to be the best yet, but the sets themselves are often on the pegs a month or two into the subsequent series.
I do like these minifigures. The Classic Queen looks fantastic with the huge skirt and Calamity Drone hair.
