Collectable minifigs remain a mystery
Posted by Huw,
Toy News International has posted a large gallery of images of exhibits on the LEGO stand at the NY toy fair.
Among them is this one showing the next series of CMFs, along with a similar one for the September release.
So, it looks as if the rumoured Disney series is not going to be revealed there :-(

Booooooo! I need to know do I can decide which Disney MOC ideas I should make! ;-)
Is it really rumored? Look at the box, it screams Disney. The last one even had Mickey Mouse ears all over it. We're getting it. Upset they're not being shown, not even a teaser like the Simpsons. If anyone's there, please ask heavily!
^ Until they are officially announced they are only a rumour :) Interesting that the box says 16 to collect when the one in Germany stated 18.
The press release you posted here on Brickset from Lego also stated we would see 50 new figures as collectables. Meaning I would assume two sets of 16 and one with 18 as has been discussed. Could that possibly mean that two would show up in random boxes making them really rare?
^^ We are getting 18, trust me, maybe someone just forgot to update the placeholder. I wonder if the Ideas Maze set was there, DW and the new GB set was.
^That was my other thought. Things don't always get updated I suppose in time for these shows.
A "mystery" you say. Disney tends to use the "sparkle comet thing" on their box art a lot. Like these: http://crazybonespedia.wikia.com/wiki/File:Diewikkeezz.png
well if it's Disney I guess I can skip this series, unless there are any Muppets
They'll reveal it within the next month. :)
I was referring to the fact that the makeup of the set remains a mystery, not that they'll be Disney.
So is this a different thing to the German Bundesliga football teams that's coming out on May 14th? See http://zusammengebaut.com/lego-minifiguren-die-mannschaft-mit-deutschen-fussballnationalspielern-laeuft-auf-4559/ (in German) and http://www.dfb.de/news/detail/lego-to-become-licensed-partner-of-the-dfb-138767/ (in English)
Was the similar one for September also decorated with the stars? As in two Disney series back-to-back?
Nevermind, I found the info on the September set.
So when is Disney just going o go ahead and buy Lego? Something to chew on, my kids and I think only Disney could pull it off (in terms of $$$$).
