Instructions for the Rio 2016 mascots set have been published
Posted by Huw,
In October last year we reported that LEGO would be producing kits of the Rio Olympic mascots which, presumably, will only be available in Brazil.
Now, thanks to instructions that have just been published at LEGO Customer Services (here and here), we have our first good look at them.
What do you think? You weren't terribly impressed when pictures were first seen last year!

I actually think they're quite cute and funny, I'd like them. Too bad the Rio site only ships to Brazil...
face & body are both stickers, guess i can make them with all the extra mixel parts.
Still ugly.
Why can't they have colored joints?
Pretty cute, actually!
They are kinda cute, but it's a pity about those ball joints. They are starting, just barely, to come in different colors... Super Hero Airport Battle has some light grey ones in dark grey. That's progress, right?
I will build these in LDD and see what they look like with properly colored joints.
It's like they told the Olympic Mascot Creation Team, "Make something that looks like a Mixel that came from the Adventure Time show."
And Broken Cheese Slope is right; they should have made the ball joints the right colors.
They look cute. The faces remind me of the printed McDonald's happy meal sets from way back when.
still better than hoth
Interesting. Is it likely they will only be available in Brazil?
More stupid sets Lego wastes their time on........
It appears I had a post become lost...
Short version: I'm looking into bringing a number of these sets to the US whenever we can get our hands on them. I'll try to post updates on pricing once available, but I would like to offer them to Brickset folks and then on my BL shop.
I like them. Here's hoping they're available outside of Brazil, too.
I live in RIO and a MIxels set costs more than $10. I truly believe the sets will cost around $15 or more in stores. They are not available now. A mug is $10, a 12 inches mascot is $26
I was thinking in sell it on Bricklink or EBAY, but I will travel DURING the Olympics (sorry, I will leave this city during the games, it will be a HELL for us, residents)
I like these, they are cute!
