Amazon Mexico publishes Dimensions images early
Posted by Huw,
Ahead of an announcement later today, Amazon.com.mx has published images (e.g. here) of several of the new Dimensions sets, including Adventure Time, Harry Potter, Mission Impossible and the A Team which I have added to the database.
I anticipate more IPs will be announced later, including Gremlins (hinted at in a video posted earlier this week) and the much-rumoured Sonic the Hedgehog.
Adventure Time is certainly interesting, given that an Ideas set based on the show has been announced. I wonder what came first: negotiations to include it in Dimensions or negotiations to license it for the Ideas project...

Mr T looks fantastic!
Don't get me wrong I think Mr is really cool, but aren't TLG getting further and further away from their values?
Are those sausages in a new colour on BMO!! Bit of a shame about no new interesting Harry Potter stuff, just rereleases of Harry and Voldemort, what I expected but disappointing. Finn looks pretty good as do most of the new figures, but Jake looks really odd to me. I'm also slightly annoyed they're making what appears to be a full movie game for the Ghostbusters reboot. Why not a full on Lego Doctor Who game or Scooby Doo?
The A-Team! how good is that :-)
Mr T looks amazing. And I knew it it will have Axl hair!
I cant wait to see Gremlins one!
My son will be over the moon about Sonic. Adventure time and Harry Potter make sense, but mission impossible seems odd. And A-team, where did that come from? What's next, Macguyver? Knight Rider?
actually Knight rider has been all but confirmed xD
So far I managed to not be interested in Dimension sets (also because I don't have a game console to play it on and my kids are too young)... But Mr. T might just change that! That minifigure and van look amazing! Damn you TLG!
Mr T is from the 80s; does TLG really expect adults to play a children's video game? Don't get me wrong; I play computer games myself, just not ones that are obviously designed for little kids.
^ I happily play videogames designed for kids (on PC or Wii). Sometimes I don't want a difficult game (I play those as well), I just want to be entertained without too much effort. And if that can be combined with something with sentimental value that's even better! So, yes, Mr. T might actually convince me to get into Dimensions.
Mission Impossible seems a really weird fit, but okay (I love that the picture on the front of the package is that iconic scene from MI1). The A-Team and Adventure Time is great, but really, I'm just hanging out for Sonic the Hedgehog.
Love Mr T!
Mission Impossible looks like it is based on the first film, which I did really like. Haven't seen the more recent instalments.
Harry Potter is as expected. I doubt we'd see much new in a Dimensions pack, I'm still hopeful for a revival of the line as a whole next year (alongside Fantastic Beasts sets).
Know nothing about Adventure Time but it looks quite fun and quirky. I don't own the game so I just pick up packs with interesting builds or figures and these might fall into that category.
I can't wait to see Sonic (still play that on my 3DS sometimes :-))
I like the look of the Ghostbusters story pack and am really really hoping for a Wizard of Oz one with an Emerald City build .. but it would only come with one figure :-(
It is driving me crazy that Lego has seemingly acquired the licence for Oz only to pretty much ignore it. They rejected the Ideas project which led me to think a set was in the pipeline but still nothing! What gives, TLG??
If they're going to do Mission: Impossible why can't they do James Bond?
Interesting thing about the connection to that first "Mission Impossible" movie ... if you haven't seen that movie, it's a good spy-flick, but it's *very* adult in terms of the storyline (involving more than a few gory homicides and a substantial body count by the closing credits).
It's another one that seemingly an odd fit for Lego, but fair enough, I'm curious to see where it goes from there.
Mission Impossible and the A-Team. Just what we need after the reports saying that Lego is getting more violent.
EDIT
Have a good look at the building on the Ghostbuster story pack, it looks like it could fit on the Lego toy pad.
wow, i did not see mission impossible and a-team coming. I'm suprised that Harry potter now has longer hair, since he only has long hair like that in goblet of fire. He should have had the shorter hair 4526110, since it is more accurate to movies 5-8.
Goonies, Gremlins and FB confirmed? Will the five mentioned expansion packs for these IPs be the rumoured "Connectables"? If so, colour me disappointed, with the exception of FB.
"Other franchises featured in the upcoming expansion include Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Adventure Time, Goonies and Gremlins. Each franchise will launch as its own separate expansion pack."

The sand blue hot dogs in 71246 though... I've never bought a dimensions set, and probably never will, and I dont care for adventure time in the slightest, but... them sand blue hot dogs.... I want them.
The most exciting thing about this for me is the A-Team set, and not because I'm a fan of the A-Team... I'm a huge fan of Magnum, P.I. and this set makes it seem more plausible that we'll eventually see Thomas Magnum and his Ferrari in Lego form.
Oh my glob! Adventure Time! Finn, Jakemobile, and especially LSP look fantastic. Not a fan of regular Jake, though. The head is too distinct. BMO looks pretty decent, but huge. Hopefully we'll get a printed 1x2x2 brick version of him at some point.
HP pack looks good, and is a good idea.
Portal deco set is a great idea for a product, and I'm glad they went ahead with it.
Now. Mr. T. In LEGO form. Is. Priceless. The van even looks great, but Mr. T... Truly makes my day.
I like to see the whole of the A-Team and a, Mystery Machine sized, van as part of a separate set. Please LEGO, make this happen.
@theJANG, what is the 'Portal deco set' you're referring to?
edit: Wait, you mean the Ghostbusters restaurant decoration for the Portal Base, nothing to do with the game Portal. Sorry confusion.
I was really hoping that since Lego have these licenses, they'd utilise them in other ways. These sets are very expensive for what you get, especially for people like me who aren't interested in the game. I've been waiting for ages for a non-Dimensions Portal set, so I could pick up Chell and her portal gun and maybe GlaDOS in a traditional Lego set. I'm beginning to think that this isn't actually going to happen.
even though I was born in the late 90s I still watched the A-team and such on Netflix and I actually don't think anyone ever died or was killed in the classic show, so I don't really mind Lego making an A-team pack.
Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant! I will probably buy 2 of those and I don't even have dimensions. Gotta open one and keep another
So it looks like they're using gold stands for series two.
So nobody is going to mention the fact that Mr. T was the actor, and the character was actually B. A. Baracus?
I mean, it even says B. A. Baracus on the box...
If Lego is going to go nuts buying licenses, can they PLEASE pick up the Star Trek license from Kree-o? I for one promise to buy any sets or games based on any of the series (even JJ Trek).
Harry looks weird with the 'Ron hair' but other than that the new packs are cool! :)
Unacceptable
Suprises at both the Mission Imposible and A-Team Lego sets.
So excited!!! I'm not really surprised by the Mission: Impossible or A-Team one because of the rumours circulating for months now, but I am THRILLED that they have gone for it. I don't think there should be any concerns about violence because it's LEGO. They have a way of making it work in game form. Plus violence is always a necessary byproduct of the battle between good and evil. It doesn't mean LEGO has to show gore and blood, which they never would. I'm glad they're embracing more movie-themed licenses I never thought we'd see. If they have a deal with Paramount for M:I, then perhaps we can hope for Top Gun given its 30th anniversary this year. That would be the best!
Looking forward to seeing more, and can only say well done LEGO. Fantastic job. Plus more and more adults are the ones buying this stuff with the 80s being an absolute golden age for material.
All I can hope for is more content and characters from some of them - variants on Marty and the Doc from BTTF II would be amazing, and where are the Wizard of Oz minifigs????
Harry has the wrong haircut... but I may well have to buy that one for the minifigs. I'm sure if I watched Adventure Time I would be all over those, and finally... Mission Impossible? Wut? It's a nice figure and all, but the first movie is pretty adult for this game.
Can't wait to kick some butt with Mr. T! As for arguments made that the A-Team is a violent show... well anyone who has watched an episode knows no one dies, ever. The bad guys would get beat up, tied up, knocked out, scared out of town, locked up, etc. but the A-Team was probably the only group of bad @ss merceneries in history with a strictly "no kill" policy. Now I'm off to educate my 6 y/o daughter about the awsomness that is B.A. Barakus! Also really hoping we'll get a full size van w/interior and the entire team. Just read that we may also be getting Gremlins and the Goonies!? Drools.... (wallet screams in panic!)...
Mr T! Now I can finally do that "DC Cab" MOC I've been dreaming of for so long...
When looking at the dimension sets on the site. In found out they still Sell LEGO Gallidor sets ??
I like some of the new additions. Dimensions has been a great way to get interesting characters you wouldn't get any other way. However, since I don't care about the game, it can be a bit expensive unless you find a sale.
But even though I don't watch Adventure Time or the A Team, I'm excited for those figures. I love HP, but disappointed since there isn't anything new there. Sonic will be fun (hopefully) and there is another HP set without a picture, so I'll wait and see how that goes.
Is that Ghostbuster lady any different than the set version? Maybe has the molded legs? Likely can skip her if she is in the Ecto 1 set.
@Huey1: Seriously? LEGO Dimensions has been out for months now. You MUST have realized that it's not just kids playing it. In fact, I'd say there's probably a pretty substantial adult audience for most of the LEGO video games. For the most part they're genuinely good games.
I'll never play dimensions, but I will definitely get cool one off packs that have minifigs that will never get full sets!
Adventure Time??? This mean Cartoon Network Characters! I wonder if steven Universe will ever make it to brick form!?
Up to now I couldn't wrap my head around Lego Dimensions, and to be honest I still can't. But I might get that A-Team pack. That iconic van plus B.A. looks fabulous.
Adventure Time otoh, don't understand the hype. Never seen that show, and neither have my kids (4 and 8). I think it's not even shown here on any mainstream channel. Cartoon Network is pay-tv over here and there are plenty of free-tv kids channels so thanks but no thanks.
Update: just checked out an episode on Youtube. What an utter a pile of [insert favorite expletive here] ! Horrible. No wonder many kids today can't concentrate any more, or freak out so easily.
