By in Germany,

Day one purchase. Love both of them!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

They all look brilliant! The AT-ST is my favourite though...

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Nice sets, but will not buy them. Again highly annoying to see that Europeans get ripped off again versus pricing in the US. Not with me anymore, TLG.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I´m not sure wether to laugh or cry about the EU prices?! The Tank looks cool, but still not impressed by how the U-Wing turned out!

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

I really love the hovertank, the best use of grey in a long time and the sets looks fresh in the design.

By in United States,

While LEGO Star Wars has had a few misses this year:
A) Hoth is cool but it's not a proper play set.
B) The Death Star did not dramatically change in appearance, playability or feature anything from Rogue One (a big miss in my book), but with that out of the way...
The Rogue One sets look fantastic! I want them all: The Tank, AT-ST, TIE-Striker, Shuttle and U-Wing are rich with cool new MiniFigures and finally some new and old builds of interest.
I really feel like it's a flashback to last year when I rushed to buy Poe's X-Wing, The Falcon, Ren's Shuttle, Special Forces TIE, Troop Transport and the only miss (but wanted the figures)... the Snow Speeder.
Kudos to both LEGO and Lucasfilm for the subject matter of this film. While The Force Awakens was truly great in that it reunited old heroes and introduced us to new ones... For someone who saw the Death Star for the first time at age 7, back in 1977, I cannot wait to be in the time period of that Galaxy....again.

By in Poland,

Hovertank looks really inventive. But the best ones weren't revealed yet :)

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Love these both! That price for the U-Wing isn't bad at all, considering it looks like it might be the most important vessel in this movie. Also, I CANNOT wait for the movie to be released. It's a golden time, having what looks like decent SW movies in the cinema's again.
One thing that seems strange: the figures on the box art of the U-Wing do not match up with the pictures of the set. It looks like one of the rebels (the right one) in that last picture is not actually included: instead there should be a U-Wing pilot.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The sets look great! Finally we got official images! Can't wait for the rest.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

U-wing looks good and feels like value for the money. the tank seems sparse for the price and 3 minifigs.

the R1 sets overall are great, but shame there isn't a £20-£25 set in this wave.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

$29.99 for the Hovertank?!!? Day one for sure, now let's see the price of the AT-ST and I will be getting them both along with the U-Wing (my Rebel army needs a Troop transport). Thank you Lego and Disney.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I would really love to know how Lego can justify the prices. The $29.99 for the Hovertank currently converts to about £22.80 so I think I'll pass on that little rip off.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I wonder if the pricing is correct on the hovertank, as thats a massive difference between the US and EU pricing.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The hover tank pricing for the UK is ridiculous. I'll wait for the large discount that Amazon will eventually offer.

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

I've already seen all of the Rogue One sets (not all websites removed them). Pity none of them include the original stormtrooper minifig.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm planning to buy the AT-ST pretty quickly, but I'm really impressed by the U-Wing now. Amazing what a proper publicity still can do...

Gravatar
By in United States,

A normal stormtrooper and death troopers will be coming in a battle pack next year.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The starwars range has really lost its appeal now, what with the ridicules pricing, lacklustre models and rehash of older sets. I'll just wait for discounts and pick up stuff as and when.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Not impressed, ugly, too many exposed studs. I hope they and the film are successful so that LEGO improves and rereleases them (although recent releases don't fill me with confidence).

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Definitely going to pick up the U-Wing at some point, as it looks like an iconic addition to the range. The hover tank is an ugly grey block and ridiculously priced in the UK. The only reason I'd want it is for the Chirrut Imwe minifig, so I hope he appears in another set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like them, they are different and that's always a good thing in Star Wars.

People complaining about the price. There is a 17% tax on LEGO (and other junk) over there. So LEGO can't do anything about that. Plus I will gladly switch with anyone in the Europe. You move to the USA for cheap LEGO and Clinton or Trump for president and I'll go there for 'free' health care, decent education, and overall happiness.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm definitely buying the Hover Tank and the AT-ST. Can anyone explain what that orange box is on the back of the Hover Tank? Also, it's interesting that Chirrut Imwe has a brick-built crossbow instead of a stud-shooter crossbow. Also excited to see what's inside that Hover Tank and the AT-ST. This + the Battlefront packs will make a perfect Christmas, though it makes me frustrated that Lego ALWAYS releases their winter waves JUST AFTER CHRISTMAS.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Anybody know if Jyn Erso's going to have the regular hairpiece that was teased in the poster?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

They look absolutely terrible, something from 2001

Gravatar
By in United States,

If she appears in other sets than the U-Wing, possibly. If this is the only set she appears in, probably not, Lego doesn't usually have loose accessories in sets. Then again, Kylo Ren had a hairpiece along with his helmet in Battle For Takodana..

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

Obviously I can't comment on the accuracy of these sets in relation to the "real" thing, but the sets look boring. The hovertank looks like a mass of blocks cobbled up by a 5yo and the U-wing looks totally out of proportion with those stubby wings.

My wallet is smiling right now.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@CapnRex101 I think the Hovertank pricing is wrong. The U-Wing GBP is £64.99 compared to USD of $69.99, but the Hovertank is GBP £34.99 to a USD of $29.99. Doesn't add up.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love the new Rebel helmets!

Gravatar
By in France,

The Whole Rogue One series looks great, and quite affordable, which the latest Rebels series, sadly, is not.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Can't wait to get these. though not impressed with the U-wing.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

Looking at these sets, I'm more and more happy that I ordered the UCS Slave-I instead of waiting for these. Utterly boring. That tank is just a chunk of blocks stacked on each other. The U-wing is kind of chubby too, compared to the images already seen of the model in the film.
Still the only good looking set it the AT-ST from this line, but the minifig selection looked kind of disappointing there too.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I like them, especially the U-wing. I'm a fan of the exposed studs look (I mean, if I wanted something not made of studded plastic, I could just buy moulded plastic or die-cast vehicles) and I like that these would go with my old sets from the original Star Wars run.

That said, I'd have to wait for a hefty discount...

Gravatar
By in United States,

U-Wing Fighter? Really? Will there be no continuity whatsoever in the Star Wars universe, just so they can sell more toys?

That said, the U-Wing looks OK, but that tank looks like a lump of grey bricks to me. I'm wondering if Rogue One will be the impetus for me to finally break free from Star Wars lego...

Gravatar
By in Norway,

@Dr.Doom, I think they're the same length as those introduced in "The Hobbit" line. Check out Thorin's axe, for instance. Still, always nice to have more. I want to equip all my dark wizards with black wands.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Accounting for shipping taxes, I think the Euro pricing makes sense. I think. Anyway...

These are still my two least favourite sets of the wave. That's not to say they look bad, mind, but there are just others from the leaks that look better to me. The U-Wing, while still decent, has a bit of an odd shape that I'm not overly keen on, but I suppose it's alright and the minifigs are good. Meanwhile the Hovertank is just too chunky and blocky for my liking. Can't wait for the AT-ST to be officially revealed though, it's been too long without such an iconic vehicle on store shelves *cough*2009*cough*. A decent start!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Blind Lego Donnie Yen!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Dalek135 Yeah, they also did that for Rey in a her Jakku sets as well...I'm going to keep my fingers crossed...that hair piece would be PERFECT for a moc I'm working on.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I feel like i am the only one hyped for krennics command Shuttle. Much better than kylo rens from last year. Its a good sign its black and its wings can fold. And we got a decent look in the trailer so we know its accurate.

At st looks like a must buy as well.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They both look great!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Love the U-Wing. Hope the wings extend as per the film and that we don't get another Kylo Ren's command shuttle wing fiasco. However, really surprised that Lego still hasn't picked up on the minifig error in the second U-Wing pic. The pilot who can be seen on the U-Wing box has been accidentally omitted and replaced with the rebel from the Tie Striker set!

Gravatar
By in United States,

U-wing is the only (first wave) set with Jyn in it so that's pretty much a must buy. I would like an official picture with the wings swept back but I guess we have to wait a little longer for that. Unfortunately, if you want all of the "main" characters, you have to purchase all of the sets - or risk it to see who is in the second wave - or buy the minifigs from resellers.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I actually like the dull blockiness of the hovertank. It looks like an old tabletop gaming piece. Thumbs up for that.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@ The Green Brick Giant

Don't you have a sales/purchase tax in the U.S.? And as for "free health care", I've paid for it all my working life and continue to pay for it in my retirement. It's called taxation.

Gravatar
By in United States,

has anyone noticed that there are different minifigures shown in the two pictures for the U-wing? on the minifig list on the box, it shows a u-wing pilot. on the overview picture, it shows two rebel troopers. one with the new hat, and one with the regular "jungle" endor rebel hat? I wonder if this is a mistake by lego since the figure with the "endor" hat is not listed on the box.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Nice, color me impressed. I'll probably aim for getting the U-Wing, at least, but I'm also really liking the look of the hovertank. It genuinely looks like a legitimate, heavily armored military vehicle that would be really tough to take out. The fact that they accomplished this, and priced relatively low is just an added bonus.

So, yeah, I'm pretty excited for the Rogue One line, over here. Probably even more than I was for the TFA lineup.

Gravatar
By in Hong Kong,

I just love how absolutely BORING and utilitarian the tank looks, definitely a must buy. Currently designing a standardized light/medium battle vehicle for my army, and will surely refer to this vehicle more than once (scale it down, add a turret, remove some guns, and make it slightly more boring). The large flat space on top the the tank also makes it ideal for parades as well as troop transport duty (like how infantry used to ride on tanks during WWII)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Now I'm not as disapointed with the new Death Star, as there was no way I'd be able to afford it and all of the Rouge One sets. These will definately be added to my Wish List; the designs are wonderfully original, accurate to the source material and still very Star Wars-like in their appearance. I'm wondering how many Rebel troops can fit into the underside of that U-Wing:) The prices are decent as well, except for the EU prices, which I don't undersand why they're so much more when the headquarters and main factory are quite a bit closer to you guys in the EU than us here in the US?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow, it seems like people have done an 180 about-face on the nature of all-gray sets. People used to dump on them all the time in Star Wars. Some sets deserved the disdain, like the Twilight atrocity from 2008, but I always was leery of those hating on mostly-gray Star Wars sets. I mean, hello? Have you seen the vehicles in the film? They are all mostly gray or have sections of gray on them. Now this hovertank shows up and it is just a literal pile of gray parts with a flashy orange addition and some minifigures, and you got people saying how great it is. Sheesh...what a time to be alive.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like the hover tank vehicle personally, especially only being 30$ (Europe got ripped off bad).

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Hover Tank is a Must-buy for me .
also I feel as if I'm of a minority of Lego Fans who actually like "all gray" Lego SW sets. Considering the theme has many spaceships and such which in the movies are mostly gray.

Gravatar
By in Hong Kong,

@ Lego Lord Mayorca, never got the Twilight myself since it was my grey age, but i think when talking about Star Wars vehicles its usually a good idea to distinguish the design decisions of Lucasfilm from LEGO's. I personally like the general geometry of the Twilight in TCW, but the set is too short, too bulky, wings too short, and coloration is also wrong (the ship should have a lot of sand blue-ish colors instead of being all grey). So i dont think being grey is the problem (at least not on its own), but being too boxy and not close enough to the source material. The falcon was perfectly fine being grey, so was the star destroyers and a lot of other sets, so i dont think personally that grey is the main issue

Gravatar
By in United States,

seeing the hover tank pilot makes me excited for the battle packs and the micro fighters that will come out involving this movie. I just started collecting SW in a way to make my city (and more importantly my Cinema) fun when the movies and/or shows start.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@SilveR96 I do assent that the Twilight was (or at least should have) been more disliked on account of its shoddy interior design and functionality, but the "big ugly pile of gray bricks" was the biggest complaint lobbed against it. Even in the TV show, it just doesn't look that appealing, and after the second season, they kind of ditched it, so it didn't become this "Millennium Falcon for Ahsoka and Anakin" proxy as Dave Filoni was no doubt intending. Regardless, I personally don't have issue with the hovertank or all-gray sets for that matter, I was just taken aback at the positive response for it considering miasma of gray-hating still clings (bizarrely) to this theme. Perhaps things have finally changed in the last eight years as far as FOL tastes go.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are the only two I really liked anyways. The European prices are ridiculous, I feel sorry to those who have to deal with them. I have a hunch that the u wing will be similar to the Wookie gunship in that on the box it shows a character coming out of the cargo bay but in reality you can't fit a figure in there.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love all these sets, but I did not like the hover tank at first. It has grown on me. I think the minfigs in all the sets are great. I am impressed with how detailed they are and unique. I did not like the Force Awakens sets that were all gray because I thought it would have been awesome to pick new colors for star wars because Lucas Films and Lego had the chance to do it. For example, a First Order Transporter in sand blue or green would have been awesome and would have sold better. I am okay with gray, but there is so much of it in all Lego sets. I think it is great in castle, but it is a fluke of star wars that there is so much more gray Lego.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They better be making an awesome Boba Fett construction figure....

Gravatar
By in United States,

If anyone wants a better look of "space monkey" (best Star Wars nickname ever) he is for sale on eBay. I wouldn't buy (30$!) but great pics.

Gravatar
By in United States,

He also has krennic for sale two.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not a fan of the U-Wing - ugly ship, ugly build. The hovertank looks pretty cool though. Hopefully it'll be in the movie more than the First Order snowspeeder was.

Gravatar
By in United States,

U-Wing wings rotate backward when cruising. Why no TLG shots showing that in action? The park and take-off wing alignment isn't nearly as attractive. Do they (or Disney) really think that is a surprise feature? They wouldn't want a more action-oriented shot for the cover?

Gravatar
By in Malaysia,

Rouge One sets are promising... I love them all and for sure will get them once released. UCS this year is rather dissapointment except Han Solo's new hair piece.

Gravatar
By in Japan,

I just want the battle packs. Common father time run a bit faster! Though I will say that U-Wing looks tempting!

Gravatar
By in United States,

They actually look like pretty good value for SW sets. All the figs look pretty awesome, too. Wonder how much Chirrut will cost me on Bricklink.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

They look cool. But I first have to see Rogue One before I purchase any LEGO sets.

Does anyone know if there are coming more VII: The Force Awakens sets this/next year?

Gravatar
By in United States,

These Are Awesome I Like The Hovertank Set with The 2 Pilots And U-Wing Because I Like The Figures More In The U- Wing Set And The U-Wing Pilot Is Cool

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

They all look amazing. Must buy!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Can't help myself, might be pretty sure due to the fact I'm no SW-fan and have very little knowledge and emotion for all the things from that universe, but I think they're both quite "ugly" I would even call it :-(. For my taste there have been some other SW-sets that I at least could understand being appealing for fans and collectors, but these two are none of them. But as comments show, taste varies widely :-), so I hope all the lovers enjoy these sets.
