Christmas Build-Up: Day 10

Hello Brickset readers! Glad you could join us for another game of "Christmas Build-Up: Guess That Animal!"

I'm not even going to try guessing what it is... okay, fine, my money is on a bear or perhaps a hamster; even if those make no sense whatsoever given the holiday theme. Forgetting about what the heck the model could be based on, it's an okay attempt. The brown and tan parts are definitely helpful, if simplistic, and the 1x1 eyelashes and 1x1 regular eye tiles appear again. Our unidentified creature of the day also appears to be in some crouch-like position.

Again, I don't even know what else to say here...

Overall - 2.5 - A lot better than the mouse/raccoon/squirrel/koala from Day 8; which isn't saying much!

By in Netherlands,

Maybe the animals aren't real animals.
Maybe they are the last mixels!

I think it's ok to make your own mind up about what they are. And we've decided Day 8 was a mouse and today is a hedgehog :-)

Umm...yeah, probably a bear...clown...thing.

By in United Kingdom,

...chipmunk?

By in United States,

I'd say for sure it's a squirrel if it had a tail. There's so many around collecting nuts this time of year. It does look like a bear, but I can't think of any way that relates to Christmas.

From the mouths of babes: My daughter informed me in no uncertain terms that is was "a cuddly teddy bear"

I'm on team bear! It perhaps relates to the season based on hibernation but is more likely not intended to be particularly festive.

By in Germany,

Beaver without tail.

I don't care tbh. I quite like it, but the arms seem very unfinished.

I thought it was a beaver... but I just remembered it doesn't have a tail...

By in United Kingdom,

It's nice that with two boxes I now have 7 models displayed - Days 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 (one substituion in the latter).
One thing that gets me is that with the Lego Dimensions Vehicles/Accessories the three different builds use exactly the same bricks to create the models. There is actually very little overlap in bricks used between these build-up models (why, Lego?). Why don't the instructions just tell you to break down the relevant model that has the required parts, rather than *every* day telling you to break down yesterday's model? However, I am still loving this "Advent" calendar much more than the last couple of Star Wars calendars that I found very disappointing.

By in Australia,

Yeah, I'm gonna go with team bear. But it's a very odd-looking bear. This calendar has been so strange. If I'd bought this? I think I'd be pretty disappointed. I get the concept, but I've always found that brick-build animals don't really look that great, and when you're limiting yourself with a relatively tiny amount of pieces?

It's a monkey.

They're all monkeys.

My wife made the excellent observation that day 8 was a rat from the nutcracker. No idea what today is, though.

Teddy bear.
